The lady that was working there was very nice and helpful since it was my first time there. So to use the washing and drying machines, you need to preload money onto their laundromat card. The card itself is free and you just load it with cash (does not take credit card) via the machines inside. They have different sized washers and as they increase in size, the price goes up per wash: $3.59, $4.98, $6.98, $9.98, to the biggest sized washer which costs $12.98. For my comforter, I used the $6.98 one and the wash took 23 minutes. There are seats inside, basket carts with wheels and stools accessible if you're vertically challenged (like me!) to load detergent and fabric softeners into the compartments above the washer. For the dryers, they have 6 big ones by the front specifically for drying blankets and they are free. The lady at the front told me that the dryers are free so I guess if you're using the other dryers for clothing, they should be free also. The machines will display a price however (for the blanket dryers it was $0.30 and I think for the clothing dryers it was $0.25) but all you have to do is swipe your card to activate it but it did not deduct any money from my card. Once you swipe your card, the light by the Start section will light up and you can press the button to start the dryer after selecting your heat choice. The blanket dryer does increments of 7 minutes and I kept swiping my card for an additional 7 minutes. The lady at the front saw what I was doing and told me I could actually swipe the card multiple times at once to get more minutes at a time instead of waiting for each 7 minute increment to finish so I'll have to do that next time. If you do decide to fold your clothing here, the tables are all very clean. The entire laundromat in general is very clean and new looking. If you need cash, there is an ATM machine at the front. There are also vending machines at the front for laundry supplies such as detergent. I think there's even a snack machine in the back of the laundromat if I'm not mistaken. They speak both English and Spanish. As per the front door sign, the laundromat is open 7 days a week from 7am-11pm with the last wash being 10pm. I don't know if these hours have changed due to Covid though. Also, due to the pandemic, make sure you wear a mask when coming here as it is mandatory. In addition, they have laundering services but I did not use them at this time. Plenty of parking out front as this laundromat is located in one of those small outdoor shopping centers. All in all, I had a great first experience here and would highly recommend this place for your laundering needs!

I have been going here for a few years because of its convenience to where i work. The owner I wont mention his name is the rudest individual on the planet. I always say hello he never says hello. He never says thank you. He makes it look like he is doing me a favor by bring my shirts over there. Today was the last day i will ever go there. He has the worst attitude and he threw my credit card back to me. He is a complete jerk. His wife is nice but he is a complete asshole. I told him Im bringing my business elsewhere. That tells you what you're dealing with over here. But look, I don't go to laundromats often. At my apartment not far from here, I didn't have access to a washer, so I HAD to come here. That was 25 years ago. The place hasn't changed much. That's not quite fair. Though I'm sure the floor and walls of the building are the same since JFK dropped by the long-gone Long Island Area up the street in 1960, the machines have been replaced and you manage your laundry from an app. No more shoving a sawbuck into the change machine for that clang of quarters that momentarily summons the thought that you've won a jackpot and you'll never have to spend another moment in a laundromat again. But then as you drag that lump of soiled wearables over to a machine, you return to reality and your fate. These days I don't need to visit a laundromat unless my own washer is busted, or my dryer is busted, or if I've got so much laundry I just want to get it done quickly, or if I'm cleaning one of those big fat blankets that throw off the balance of my top-loading washer and makes a pounding noise during the final spin that's like Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" only with a less-happier ending. But there are times I need a laundromat, and this place fits the bill. And by "fits" I mean "washes and dries" and by "bill" I mean "textiles." You could drop your crap off, and they'll wash and fold for you. If you're an aristocrat. Which I am not. So I'll just sit on one of the benches and stare into space or stare at my phone or stare at my laptop. At least they have Wi-Fi. The other option is to watch whatever happens to be streaming on the large television. One time it was "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." I started to wonder if any of the Kardashians had ever been to a laundromat, or know what a laundromat is, or have even seen a washer or dryer, or if they even wear anything more than once. What makes the location a little more ideal than the other laundromats in the area is that the strip mall contains a Five Guys and an Izumi hibachi restaurant. Because nothing kills time quicker than slamming a cheeseburger or pounding a mai tai. Or, perhaps, both. Curiously, according to the app, the establishment is called "Honey Bee Laundrette," which sounds kinda quaint, but I don't see any signage (or ambiance) that suggests the species Apis mellifera. In fact, the strip mall sign simply says LAUNDER CENTER, which sounds like something out of "Blade Runner" where your memory gets wiped. On the days I need to go to the laundromat, though, I could use a good memory wipe afterward. THREE STARS
