Trintan arrived at our home right on time and was very nice. He showed us different covers that they had already installed and they all looked great! The price was 30% less than the nearest qualified installer, and the warranty is the same, so we signed up. What a great decision! The workers arrived on the agreed day and had our old cover demoed and the new one installed within 2 days (they asked for 3!). Everything is just as promised and we could not be happier. Do we recommend Patriot? Well, let me just say, after seeing the work, we have now contracted with them for a kitchen remodel!

We were referred to Roger by San Diego Marble and Tile in Encinitas (fantastic tile store btw!). Roger was prompt in getting back to us when we reached out to him and it was obvious from the start that he truly is an artisan. His work throughout our condo is so professional and meticulous, and I almost get anxious just thinking about what our remodel might have looked like if we had gone in a different direction. He thought of so many details and planned ahead for possible issues, and the results show it. Roger is kind, easy to work with, and trustworthy, and his pricing is reasonable and worth every penny. We live in a tract home and things aren't always exactly plumb (ugh), and we really put Roger to the test with our gorgeous 24" by 48" Arizona Tile Shibusa Bianco tiles (btw, these tiles are especially beautiful IRL and feel fantastic on the feet with good traction...love Arizona Tile!). Roger had to do considerable work floating the floors in the kitchen and master bathroom and wow oh wow we are enjoying his work every day!!! Just check out the attached photo of where the tile floor meets our Lalegno white oak floors in the dining room...stunning!!! I thought for sure we would need transition pieces, but Roger and our wood installer Stone from Interior Technique Flooring in San Marcos did what seemed to be the impossible. Roger also did an incredible job installing our authentic Zellige tile from Zile Tile (we highly recommend Zia as well for Zellige) around our condo in the kitchen, dining room, master bathroom, powder room (the mitered edges in kitchen, master bathroom, and powder room are sooooooo gorgeous!), and living room fireplace. For the fireplace, I wanted our EcoSmart 32SS Flex bioethanol unit to be flush to the wall for a more modern look. I really don't know how Roger made everything so symmetrical with exactly three rows of 2" by 2" Zellige tiles going around the opening along with the honed marble trim. Wowwwiiiieeee!!! In our upstairs bathrooms, we went with approximately 1' by 3' tiles from San Diego Marble and Tile (Encinitas location) to minimize grout lines (I prefer less grout lines where there's also going to be lot's of water) and Roger wisely decided to go the extra mile and mud-float the master shower to keep everything plumb. Our idea for the charcoal accent penny round rows in the master shower came from a fun design I saw on THELIFESTYLEDCO YouTube channel (64th Build; "Moody and Modern"). Roger surprised us by wrapping the dots around on the front ends of both sides of the shower...so sweet and it makes me smile whenever I look at them! I could go on and on but the photos say it all and more. We can't begin to thank Roger enough for his dedication, kindness, patience, creativity, and top-level skill!

Hired to stain our teak deck. The stain faded badly within two months. When I complained, they came…read moreback and patched it rather than doing a full restain. That made things worse. The border boards are now a deep warm brown, the main deck surface is a washed-out gray. The color variation is severe and obvious -- you can see exactly where they stopped working. A professional fix means stripping and starting over. What we got was a cheap patch that highlighted the original failure rather than fixing it.

So when I first met Alfonso at Green Paradise, I already had my guard up and ready to deduct "points" for everything he's about to and going to do wrong. I had Alfonso come out to my house to give me an estimate on building a fence and redesigning my front yard. This is how it all went down, blow by blow. Round 1: The meet and greet - Arrived on time at my house like he said he would (+1 point) - Took shoes off before coming into my house (+1 point) - Asked me what I wanted and suggested alternatives (+1 point) Round 2: The estimate -Actually took time to measure and calculate angle of elevation for materials (+2 points) (Come on, you gotta give the guy extra points for that!) -Within three days, came back with three different design suggestions and price models based on our conversation (+1 point) Round 3: The execution -Started the job as promised and arrived at the job site on-time as promised (+1 point) -Kept me informed of the project as it went along via text, email and in-person (+1 point) -Made sure I was happy with each step of the process before moving to the next step.
