I could not believe how much the store has expanded over the years, including an annex two doors down that houses thousands of CDs. The amount of inventory here is almost overwhelming in the best possible way. As a music collector, it honestly felt like I had died and gone to heaven. No matter what genre you enjoy, there is an incredible amount to explore. I was especially excited to find a large selection of leftover Record Store Day titles, including two rare releases that I was thrilled to add to my collection. I also came across many original pressings of 1980s LPs and 12" singles, along with a huge number of CDs in the annex, including several out-of-print titles that are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Everywhere I looked, there were hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Atlantic Sounds is the kind of record store where you could easily spend an entire day -- or several days -- browsing and still not see everything they have to offer. I am so glad to see how much they have grown and expanded since my last visit. It remains an absolute paradise for music lovers and collectors.

Employees recommendations on the shelves call out individual titles. Lots of tables display trade paperbacks and hardcovers devoted to a particular theme or sale. One labeled "Five Star Fiction" presented well-reviewed new releases. If you order from the cafe look for a book near the register that's on sale for $5 with a purchase. I usually prefer used bookstores to new ones but this palatial Barnes & Noble is worth the stop. It's at the same I-95 exit as Buc-ee's.

They have a large selection of Current Comics and a fair selection of comics from the 1960s and 1970s. Laid out nicely, and easy to browse through. There are also boxes of consignment comics to check out. Then there are quite a few Sale comics 25 cents plus boxes at 50% off, so lots of selections for the casual buyer. Every person there was very friendly and helpful. Even though there was a tournament going on, they were kind enough to sit with me and explain things, and I even played a game before the night was over. Our experience with Star Video started out on such a positive note. We had a great conversation…read morewith the owner about life, movies, relationships, etc. We were interested in some VHS tapes she had listed "For Sale" in the back of her store. She said we could come back the next day and look through them (there were a lot!) and she would give us a fair price on the whole thing. We just went back to do that and her attitude towards us was completely different. She was cold with us, and when we brought up our selection of VHS tapes and LPs, she refused to give us prices on them and pulled several out, saying they weren't for sale. After trying to understand what was going on, cause it was clear there were miscommunications involved, she said she wouldn't sell any of it to us. She said that SHE was getting frustrated with us arguing with her - I said I was just trying to understand what had happened between yesterday and today cause she was treating us so differently. She tried "explaining" that I misunderstood what she said, but in the process of doing so - she contradicted herself several times and didn't make any kind of logical sense in the things she was saying. Our conversation and business ended there. So beware - don't bother looking through her products. She wonders why her business has been hurting lately.....we just found out why.
