Each individual sub contractor that was sent out to the house were absolutely the most friendly, respectful, punctual and skilled artisans in their craft. The electricians were super sweet and always punctual and efficient with their time. The painters were so nice and friendly and incredibly hard workers. They showed up early and literally worked non stop all day each day that they came. Pablo, the head carpenter and all of his guys were so talented and really worked hard to produce their best work! I'll admit I'm a very detailed oriented person to a fault and they really managed to exceed our expectations!! Overall I'd have to say for someone who is a bit picky and expects the best quality of product and craftsmanship and yet appreciates a great value, I'd 100% give Modern Design and Remodeling a full recommendation and stamp of approval! Absolutely do not use this company. We spent over $20,000 on engineered hardwood flooring for our…read morehome, and the installation was handled negligently. This company failed to perform a proper moisture test and did not apply a moisture barrier sealant on the concrete slab prior to installation -- both of which are standard industry practices for slab foundations. We trusted their expertise and assumed any required preparation would be recommended, but it was not. As a result, our downstairs flooring has been completely ruined due to moisture intrusion coming directly from the slab. Instead of taking responsibility, the company is now attempting to shift the blame to us, claiming it's a foundation problem -- which it is not. Moisture levels in concrete naturally fluctuate with seasonal changes, and proper testing and barrier application would have prevented this issue entirely. We are extremely disappointed in both their workmanship and their refusal to stand behind their installation.

Not only was Chris very professional at the time of the sale, he was always on time for any of our appointments and took my calls no matter what was going on. As far as the installation goes, I can not say enough about how professional each of the install crews were. We had tile, wood, and carpet all done so I saw first hand how each of them worked. All three crews were extremely polite and competent and the floors turned out great. What I loved is that they went out of their way to walk me through what was going to happen and answered any of my questions throughout the install. The wood team actually installed my new baseboards for me and waited for me to run to Lowe's to purchase more when I didn't buy enough. My wife and I shopped around before deciding on EZ Floors and found that their price cannot be beat anywhere. I trusted his taste to let him make the selections that would blend with my existing bathroom tile. I suggested a laminate all over but the unlevel condo cost was moving out of my budget and then hit with the news the kitchen tile needed to be replaced too. Kenny stepped up and suggested switching to a vinyl plank that can go into the kitchen, dining and living room cost effectively. Then switch to carpet for the bedrooms to avoid cost of leveling that area. He was so patient and sincerely wanted to help me through this process and saved me $1000. People like this are hard to find. Now for quality of work it is excellent for all my projects! I fussed about all the leveling and he told me it is very important; it needs to be done.
