11.14.23 This review is way over due…read more We purchased a home (in the country) that needed to have 2 bathrooms remodeled and the kitchen too. Also the laundry room needed new flooring. We hired At Home Expert (AHE) to do the remodeling to both bathrooms. Also to do the tile and backsplash in the kitchen. (Laundry room too). We did not have AHE do the cabinets but, I wish I would have hired them for that as well. At the time I did not know AHE did cabinets as well. They do it ALL! I went to the AHE showroom and met with Evan Rousan. We have used Evan R. before on a different home and he did an EXCELLENT job on it , so why use someone else. Plus, he is just a really nice man! Evan helped me design my 2 bathrooms and pick out great back splash and flooring for the house. I had a budget set in my mind and he helped me stay on it. Evan also gave me some advice on what would look good & what would not. I really appreciate that! He was not just trying to make a sale. The tile selection at the showroom was fantastic, just what I was wanting. While Evan's crew was doing all the work at our house, we decided to have them paint almost all of the inside of the house and paint the fireplace. (I love how the fireplace and mantel came out!) When we have other projects we will definitely check with AHE first.

We were re-flooring the entire home (a little over 2500 sq ft) with lvp and carpet. Luis was patient and listened to our needs before making suggestions. Even when making suggestions, he always deferred to what we wanted and was never pushy. Often he would have to wait while we met with other contractors and he never complained. Payment was easy and I appreciated the very detailed invoice. I felt 100% comfortable leaving a key with Luis and his crew! One day I came home to meet yet another contractor and I was blown away when I saw Luis on his hands and knees actually working with his crew! Usually folks just make the sale, send the crew and check in from time to time but Luis was working side by side with his crew and I was really impressed. All in all the flooring and total stair remodel they did for us was top notch. They cleaned up after themselves everyday and we received 0 neighbor complaints! It is owned and operated by Kenny Smith and his wife. One of his projects he loved was remodeling a historic Galveston Home. So, Kenny has a well-rounded knowledge which makes his expertise invaluable. He can visualize the big picture. A great example...My last project was for a resale condo that totally needed to be done and I was 1000 miles away. I trusted his taste to let him make the selections that would blend with my existing bathroom tile. I suggested a laminate all over but the unlevel condo cost was moving out of my budget and then hit with the news the kitchen tile needed to be replaced too. Kenny stepped up and suggested switching to a vinyl plank that can go into the kitchen, dining and living room cost effectively. Then switch to carpet for the bedrooms to avoid cost of leveling that area. He was so patient and sincerely wanted to help me through this process and saved me $1000. People like this are hard to find. Now for quality of work it is excellent for all my projects! I fussed about all the leveling and he told me it is very important; it needs to be done.
