Everyone that works is always nice, price is cool (went up recently but everything is), and I've been going to them for over 5 years for every last car that I own. Nobody else will tint my cars but them. I asked for 5% all around and 20% on the windshield on my new car 2 months ago and it's PERFECT!!! I stopped in to have my wife's new vehicle tinted and they're still rocking out tints at just $100. When I pulled quotes two years ago for my truck, these other companies were charging on average more than three hundred dollars for tint. I was blown away by these high prices. Therefore, when G&S was recommended to me, I was excited to have finally found a company that offers a great product at such a great rate. The showroom is STILL beautifully spotless and yes, those comfy chairs are still there. The rims look great, really tempting to purchase a set but having just bought the car should probably save my money. Luckily, on a rainy friday morning, there wasnt many people in the showroom so I was out of there in less than twenty minutes. Tint only takes 48 hours to dry, whereas in years past it took 72. I had told them that I just wanted to get the front windshield and front 2 windows tinted as I already had the back 2 windows and rear windshield tinted that originally came with the car. My fault for not checking closely but they tinted the back of my windows after I specifically just said the front 2 and front windshield. You can see in the photos the cut of the film. Terrible job. On top of that, the girl at the front had told me that she'd give me the front windshield for 35 and ended up charging me 95 (I guess this included the rear when I specifically said I wanted just the front). Make sure to check your car throughly once you get it back. I made the mistake of not paying as close attention as I should have, but also G&S for doing a service I didn't ask for and doing an awful job. read more

No one should go here, specifically women unless you like being talked to disrespectfully and want shitty service. I came in for tints and had to get them to redo it 3 times. The pictures speak for themselves so I'm not even going to go into describing the issue with those. The worst part of it all was the managers lack of professionalism and how he speaks to his customers. He was very condescending, rude, and gaslighted me throughout the whole conversation. Saying things like "it's not my concern if you have to be at work" "I don't operate off of emotion that's what women do" "I'm not giving you a refund" "it's not our fault that hairs got in between the windows" He continuously cut me off every time I tried to speak saying "just pull your car up" and proceeded to walk away when I was explaining what was wrong with the tints (even though they need to explanation) He gave me so much attitude and then got upset when he got the same energy back. After spending the day in my vehicle I realized I needed to do something to help keep my car cool. I was referred to G&S by my niece and she told me of the great job that was done by G&S. Since, I believe word of mouth is the greatest reference anyone can give, I decided to give them a try. The job performed was immaculate. Clean and precise was what I wanted and that is what I received. If I ever need to have tint done again I certainly will go back for the service. Waited about 6 hours to get my windshield done at the capital heights location, right after i got my car back, i noticed that it had a little tear, one of the employees told me that it was normal and just wait a week for it to cure. After waiting a week, it got worst started to peel and had a bunch of bubbles. I came back and was told "windshield doesn't have lifetime warranty.." I wasn't told this right when i got it done, and was informed all tint jobs were life warranty.. Cheap isn't the best especially when it came to their tint job. Not coming back for any future work. got my car tinted here abt a month and a half ago. there were over 10 visible bubbles that i had to drive back to get fixed. after they fixed it, i noticed an additional bubble on another window. i had to send it back 3 times. eventually the owner came out and talked to me, and inspected the bubbles himself. he brought out his best guy and thankfully was able to perfect the tint. to me it seems they have a mixture of people working here that care about their craft, and those who are in it for the paycheck. it was definitely a lengthy process, but for $100 for ceramic tint, i guess i can't complain too much. the rest of my car is spotless- i wanted the tint to follow suite. we got there. read more

I went there 2 days ago to get my entire car tinted. I'll just say the tint job was awful (you know it's bad when you notice on the 2nd day) also the cleanliness was even worst. I would know because I've only had my brand new Mercedes for a WEEK. They did my tints and rushed it. They didn't even clean up all the water that dropped on the size of the doors from applying the tint. For someone who has black leather interior you could see all this white dust on the inside. That wasn't a deal breaker for me at first I just cleaned up my myself. Then the next day you could see like 20-50 bubbles on both of my front door windows, you could also see where they cut the film. I'm not an idiot, this isn't the first time I've gotten my tints done so I know they aren't suppose to look like that. Apparently they don't do refunds or else id get a refund and make them take it all off and just go back to Kunza wrap and tint where they do an amazing job from the jump but I'm going back there tomorrow to make them fix it. Stay tuned.... overall first customer service experience was awful. I waited over 2 hours, no big deal that's normal. But for how the tints turned out, it's horrible. read more

When I first arrived, there was quite the line, so I was a bit worried; but by the time I walked to the Starbucks a bit down the street, got coffee, and came back, my cat was done and my tints looked great. If there was a way to give zero stars I would. The customer service at this place is the absolute worse. I wish I could leave a review on the work they did but that couldn't even get done through their inability to properly schedule. I will leave the detailed story below but if you want a company that respects your time, THIS IS NOT IT!!! I called on Friday and was told it was walk ins only with a two hour wait (this was at 1pm... they close at 8pm). I arrived by 2pm and put my name on the list. I then received a call saying when they put my name down, they didnt realized they were already booked for the day and wouldn't get to my car until 9pm. The receptionist informed me to come by the next day and I would automatically be serviced. Saturday: I call to ensure the offer still stood. The "owner" then tells me "well i didnt make that deal with you and im the owner but if you speak to her i'll honor it i guess". First of all, the tone was rude and unnecessary. I ask to be transferred to the front and he tells me to just call back. Very unhelpful. I call back and she informs me that I can come in. By the time I get in, the woman is on her lunch break (at 3pm). The owner then tells me they are booked for the day AGAIN. I explain the situation and tell him this is my second time driving 45+ minutes to be told no despite being told yes. He then makes me wait for the receptionist (woman) to come back. The receptionist comes back at 3:30pm and tells me my car would be serviced and that I was next. That I took Mr. Lee's spot to be specific. I wait about an hour and then the woman informs me the staff rearranged her papers and now there are TWO cars in front of me, another hour to wait. Please understand how chaotic and unprofessional this is. If you can't manage walk-ins, take appointments! Especially during covid when safety protocols are barely being followed. I saw no masks and no signs requiring people to wear masks who were sitting in the open waiting room. A MESS! read more

I should have left at "hello." However I don't even think I was greeted in the first place. Starting with the receptionists. Both "young ladies" ((I say this loosely) we're extremely rude. Every question was either "no" or "I don't know." When I asked questions about the tint options and experiences with customers from VA they quickly said they didn't know and don't take responsibility, etc however non of my questions solicited that type of response. When I asked about comparing tints or seeing displays, they said they don't do that cause every car is different. Well, I've since learned that every tint shop is different from them as week because they have displays and at least try to help you get want you want. G&S isn't even roll of the dice, they're straight trash. The manager/owner asked why I had a question and that if I "was concerned just don't get the tint." So many times I should have walked. Then they pull my car around after they were done and had left cryon markings all over the front windshield. They didn't put the tint far enough down into the door so the same day the did it, it started to crease and peel up from the bottom of the driver side door. I didn't even bring it back under their "warranty," I instead went elsewhere just 3 days later and...they found a chip in my window. Wonder who did that in a car that's not even a month old?! I never write reviews, good or bad, but this place was so bad, I actually couldn't wait. The prices are cheap for a reason. I did get my windows tinted here, but the white fella that worked the register was so rude. I tinted all my windows including a strip on the windshield for $145 and the only reason he got loud and upset with me was because I tried to ask if he could do a bit of a discount as the strip itself cost $45. There were other people inside and he got really loud and even said there is another tint shop down the road where I can bargain with them. It was so embarrassing. I decided to just get the tint anyways, because I had made a long drive to get to it and didn't want to spend any more time. I guess he was the owner or manager because he was ordering all the other workers around the shop. Don't waste your time coming here. They are very unprofessional. Service is trash. Receptionist is trash. Workers are trash. They tried to charge me $65 to remove glue that wasn't taken off from the previous tints I had. I had just saw a review before I came in that said they got charged only $50 to remove glue. I had to show him the review for him to only charge me $50 as well. Clearly they make prices up as they go. Then when my car came out, there was glue ALL OVER MY SEATS. I had to go back in there to ask if they could wipe off all the glue they got on my seats. Why should I have to ask you that? One guy came out & wiped but did a quick sweep and barely got anything off. I'm very unsatisfied with this service. You have to keep in mind though, when people give terrible service & try to get over on you, karma comes back on them. There's nothing I can do but take the L & go on about my day. You get what you pay for! Don't get hyped up with their '$100 tint on all cars' Clinton location ruined both sides of my brand new black sedan. Scratched both sides also 2 windows. Very visible from outside but they're not admitting their fault. Car only had 200 miles at the time. I had my previous car done at their another location which apparently closed down. I had no problem at that time but I won't be going back here to get anything done. I even referred my friends about this business because 1st vehicle was done properly and professionally. These guys here buffed out the paint to fix scratches which actually made it worse. It was being done outside of their back garage. I could see why they weren't allowing customer in that area. I just recently moved to MD and the my state inspection failed due to it being under 35% tint. Bastards! After having a tantrum and calling around, I found G&S to be the cheapest place to have my windows stripped. All my tints were removed with NO sticky residue left over! I came in at about 10:15am and was out by 11:30am as a walk-in client. The best part of this was how welcoming and professional Roman (the manager) is. He informed me of MD state laws and let me know to just stop by whenever I was ready to have my tint re-installed. This business will most DEFINITELY get my business when getting tint reinstalled! read more

My friend recommended this place to me and I was very satisfied with the service. They're located in Capitol heights and it was far for me but it was worth it. I had tints put on my 2018 Honda Civic. The prices are reasonable as well. I paid no more than $150 with tax. They don't take appointments it's first come first serve. I only waited about an hour which wasn't bad at all as I was expecting the wait time to be longer. I recommend this place for tints 100%. They also give you warranty on it! read more

I came in to get my windows tinted and was informed that the person who owned my vehicle before I bought it used, must've had tints on the car-- because there was glue in the back windshields. I was informed that it would cost me an additional $50 for them to remove the glue (overcharged in my eyes-- but hey, make your money). It started by them asking me if I ever had tint in the car, I said no. They then asked if I was the first owner, I said no. I asked them could it be possibly be tree sap on the car (because my home has a lot of pine trees around it). They said no. Somewhere in there, one of the employees (white male, heavy set, tall), tells me that I have an attitude. I told him I did not. He says yes, I did, as a room full of people are onlooking. I refused to continue to go back and forth with this man. I felt very uncomfortable at this point in time and decided to walk out of the building with the tint servicer to see what he was talking about. He showed me where the issues were and I gave them the go ahead to remove the glue from the back window (hated to spend the money but for convenience, I just got it done since I was there). Overall, my tinting experience was good, but I definitely felt disrespected by the white male employee. Never did I raise my voice at any point, roll my neck, or exhibit any behaviors that would conclude I was upset. If anything, I started to become upset once he accused me of being such. I merely responded in a straight forward way with regard to the knowledge I had if my vehicle and that did not deserve the accusations he spewed my way. That was not good customer service, at all. I will not be sending any referrals to this place. Maybe my expectations where too high, but I feel you should be able to be treated with respect no matter the establishment. I do not know the type of people they are used to, but I am not that. I'm hoping I won't need to use this lifetime warranty. If I do, I hope that guy isn't there. read more

This is not a 5 star establishment more like 2 1/2 - 3‼ I took my Jeep there for 5's and my 5's look like 20's but the real issue I have with them is the front desk lady has ZERO customer service energy on the phone & in person! She's very bland almost rude with low energy not welcoming at all more so like (what you want & give me your money) I've gotten better welcoming service at a weed pop up ! Then i call back to complain that my rear defrost doesnt work after being charged $90 to remove access glue on the back window (where defrost is) & the front desk girl says immediately after a 17second brief hold (I counted) theres nothing they can do instead of professionally assuring me that management will get my complaint. Instead she says "it's just me and guy here right now nobody is here" So im waiting for a call back by monday ill update after that. One thing I don't like is after they tint your vehicle and pull it up to the front they don't clean up their mess! I had water residue all over my doors, my windows had smear marks all the way around & you would think after they install tints they would wipe off or clean up any smears or leftover smudges on the window itself, they don't! it looks tacky, this the second vehicle I've taken here and dissatisfied won't be a third time for sure read more

I WOULD NOT SUGGEST THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!! I went to G&S Auto in Clinton MD on Saturday June 29th to get the windows on my 2005 2dr Honda Accord. My boyfriend suggested this establishment because he previously had his sons car tinted there. I must admit his sons tints looked good, so I decided to get the windows on my commuter car tinted there. BIG MISTAKE!!! I dropped my car off, but when I came to pick it up my key was broken as well as the motor that allows the drivers seat to lean forward and backwards. My seat nor my key were broken prior to their service. They lied and say the key was already broken. Then said "well, it was atleast loose" and offered to tape and glue it. So which was it: was it already broken, loose, or not broken at all? As i stated before, this is a 2 door coupe with limited space in the back seat so my guess is whomever installed my tints must've been pushing my drivers seat when in the back. The lady at the front desk called someone to try to rectify the situation however the person on the phone "didnt want to speak to us". We were told they aren't responsible for any damages done. So after taxes we paid $196 ($100 for tint installation and $85 for the removal of tint on half of the back window), yet walked away with a broken key and broken drivers seat. NOT WORTH IT!!!! We were told we can bring the vehicle to the TINT location in Capital Heights on Wed and that they would assess the damage, but once again they arent responsible. First off its a tint location, they arent mechanics so what are they going to do for my vehicle there? This was such a headache. The simple fact that they didnt even know who the manager is, wouldnt talk to us, nor offered to atleast reimburse me the $196 I spent on my tints (which are bubbled) tells me exactly the type of business they run. It took them three tries to even get it decent, each time the owner and the tint guys all gave me the worst attitudes. The front windshield was horrible and embarrassing and it still does not look right. There is dust, dirt, squiggles, bubbles, and other random issues all over the entire car. I asked for a refund and Jason, the owner, who originally offered it to me never called me back. I would NEVER get tint there, I would not even trust them to wash my car - which is apparently their main business. Everyone except for Mark, who I believe is the manager, was rude and completely unhelpful. I am going to another place and having it all removed and redone. I don't even trust them to take the tint off. They left the car a mess, there is glue and soap residue all over my leather, my entire experience was horrific. read more

I went there to get my windows tinted because I heard nothing but positive things. Front desk receptionist was cool even though she was on a personal call while speaking with me but whatever. Waiting room was okay, it was a plus because Fresh Prince was on the TV lol. My vehicle was the only vehicle to be serviced and it was taken back in the bay area pretty fast so I'm expecting to at least wait 30-45mins because there was 4 gentlemen there to work. 30 mins go by, no update.....40mins, receptionist walks by and walks back there, then walks back in pass me...nothing...1hr, nothing...1hr 10mins I walk outside and see that my vehicle has not been touched! It was back there but just sitting. I asked them what was up and they looking at me like I asked them to cook me a well done steak with veggies and then bake me a cake with candles that spells my name! I went back to the waiting to get the person who I came with and walk back to my car...guess what...NOOOOW they decide to start working, OH HELL no!
