His reglazing work was sloppy, with uneven paint edges on the bathtub fixtures and overspray on other fixtures in the bathroom that weren't covered properly. Excellent glazing job on our bathroom sink. Sink had a chip and layers of glazing, sanded and glazing job came out perfect.

The best price and value for this type of work. Sadly, my tube lining was destroyed by using cheap Amazon tub stickies. DONT BUY THOSE! Just get a matt that sticks to the tub instead of you'll potentially have to reglaze the tub like I did. But these guys nailed it for a super budget price. The only thing to consider is you'll have a super toxic bathroom for a few days. Because of the chemicals used in the paint/glaze. But there's no way around that. I got my bathtub reglazed by this company almost 1 year ago... I don't like to write negative reviews but after using my poorly reglazed bathtub for 1 year, I feel like I should in case someone else is doing research and wants a thorough picture of a company's positives and negatives. I chose J&B because they provided me with the lowest cost quote and it seemed like everyone else had a 5 star experience with no issues. In total, they came 3 times to my house and my bathtub was still never reglazed properly. 1st Visit: The first time they came and reglazed my bathtub, the paint never completely cured/dried so it remained soft and easily indented when I stepped on it. I contacted the owner and since this was clearly an issue, he sent someone the next day to take a look at it. 2nd Visit: The same worker came the next day to take a look at it and he told me it had to do with some issue with the coating so he redid the entire bathtub. This time, the coating cured properly and I thought everything was fixed. However after using the bathtub for a few days, I noticed a small crack in the coating that started to get bigger and bigger every day. After a few weeks, the crack was pretty significant and getting deeper and wider so I contacted the owner again and sent him pictures. At the widest point, the crack was almost a cm wide. The owner agreed to send someone the next day to check it out. 3rd Visit: The same worker came again and instead of redoing the entire bathtub like he did the 2nd time, he just patched the area around the crack with more coating. Since he just sprayed it on, it left the edges of the patch rough and matte (think of spray paint) since it didn't blend with the rest of the tub reglaze. In addition, this was just a quick coverup fix because over time the crack came through the patch and started to widen and elongate again. At this point, I didn't want to bother reaching out to the owner again because I was over it. Over the past year I've just continued using the bathtub and noticing the crack grow until it pretty much reached the edges of the tub. Finally, 1 year later, I couldn't take it anymore so I ended up contacting another reglazing company to reglaze my tub again. In summary, J&B did not do the work properly and fix the issue correctly so I felt I wasted money since I had to pay to get my tub reglazed again. read more

I wasn't really in the mood to spend thousands of dollars to change my whole bathroom vanity and sink, bathtub shower and kitchen counters so I was just doing my research online. At first I did not know what Reglazing was so I watched tons of videos. Decided to go for it. I'm glad I did! I contacted Gabriel via Yelp and we were able to set a time and date to get the services started. He answered quick on Yelp and gave me a quote through Yelp messages when I sent a photo. I definitely recommend his services. He came on time with one another person. They were clean, respectful and the quality so far is great. There is a 2 year warranty as well. If you plan on changing your fixtures, I recommend telling Gabriel to remove them because they won't remove them unless you mention it to him. Overall, very satisfied with the work! read more

We hired Gabriel to reglaze two sinks in our Master bathroom. We chose him based on the great reviews on Yelp. After a few weeks of doing the job, one of the sinks started chipping and the glaze came off (around 2x2 inches- see pic attached-). I called Gabriel and asked about warranty. He sent one of his workers, who did not sand the chip and just reglazed over it. This resulted in the chip area still being visible (see pic). In addition, the person that did the "repair" used a different glaze finish. The original work was done in gloss and the repair was done in matte (see attached pics of the "repaired finish" in matte and the second sink with the gloss finish). Now we have in the same bathroom, two different finishes next to each other. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I have called and texted Gabriel multiple times and sent these exact same pictures. His original response was "we don't warranty our work, we are doing this as a favor".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]As I have followed up to schedule the repair, he just stopped responding altogether.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you want to hire someone that does not take responsibility for his work and that will take your money and disappear, this is your person. We did a tub and tile reglazing with them late last year. Work had to be done multiple times because the first worker did not do it correctly. Gabriel, the owner was kinda rude. When I told him about my complaints (in a nice and polite way), he was upset and told me they can't be going back and forth fixing every issue I have, which btw was due to the fact that they didn't do their job correctly. Like I enjoyed having them come over each time...It was a huge bother and inconvenience to us, as it was to them. He told me I can't expect a perfect result like that of a brand new install. I am fully aware of that, but I was at least expecting a decent, well-done job, worthy of what I've spent for. On top of that, he charged me a price higher than what we originally agreed. When I showed him the price he previously texted me, he said it was a misunderstanding. The text conversation was very clear and pretty straightforward, no rocket science, so I'm not sure what I could have misunderstood. Anyway, I was so tired arguing and wanted to get over and done with it, so I just settled the payment. I did not bother posting a review at that time as I felt it was a waste of my time and energy and decided to charge it to (bad) experience instead. Barely 6 months after, the tub started to have bubbles and the tiles are already fading. I reached out to him. He said he can fix it. He requested for photos. I told him, because of lighting and color the photos will not show much. No response. Had to send 2 more messages before he responded, asking for pictures again. After a few more email exchanges, we agreed with a date. I asked him to provide a specific time. Again, no response. And as expected, he didn't show up on the agreed date. No message, no explanation. Earlier this month I decided that I wanted to freshen up my bathroom and have my bathtub and shower tiles reglazed. They were not horrible, just a style that after 14 years, I was sick of. I contacted three companies all from yelp, to get a quote to have my bathtub and shower reglazed. Gabriel / J&S reglazing got back to me almost instantly on a SUNDAY NIGHT with a quote and what the quote included. The next day I called him on the phone and he answered all of my additional questions. Out of everyone I contacted, he was the middle quote and most responsive and so I decided to go with him. He scheduled me the following Tuesday with an arrival between 7-8 AM. Gabriel and his helper showed up at 7:05AM and quickly got to work. I let them know that I was going to be changing out my fixtures when the glaze dried and they were kind enough to take off the old fixtures so that I wouldn't have to worry about any lines. He covered everything and kept a very clean job site. All in all the job took about 4 hours to complete including prep and dry time between coats. Like all reglazing, you could smell the fumes for about 24 hours after but that is totally standard and nothing can really be done except for good ventilation and time. The glaze dried well and I didn't have any issues using it after 48 hours. All in all, I'm happy with the job and would not hesitate to hire them again! read more

We had the entire bathroom reglazed about a year and a half ago. Company was very professional and a fair price. Only thing is about a year in I started to notice the floor tile starting to show wear in the grout as well as noticed a discolored spot. In the shower tub, walls still look good but shower floor shows slight piece close to what could be a crack. Contacted company and they were courteous and suggested I use 409. That did not work and then they suggested I have them come back out and pay for a new glaze. I am not sure how long a glaze should last before having to do it again, but now will have to look at options. read more

Very disappointing. The first visit, the workman left a few gaps in the grout between the shower wall tiles and glazing didn't cover them. Also in the shower floor many cracks opened up where the grout had not been done thoroughly. I paid $750 for the first try. They unfairly charged me an extra $125 to come back to fix the problems, but they made the problem worse! I had asked Gabriel the expert to come and figure out the best solution (perhaps just to use white caulk in the gaps), but he sent his helper Frederico -- who added grout of the wrong color (light gray, not white) to the wall cracks (and many spots where it wasn't needed), and then did not add a layer of the white spray glazing to cover his new grout. He did okay fixing the floor -- because he added a layer of glazing once he repaired the floor grout. He should have sprayed a layer on the wall tiles. Now I wish he had left the walls alone because I could have filled the few gaps with white caulk that matched the glazing. The unmatching gray grout here and there now makes it look like the shower is dirty. I can't ask new tenants to move in and take good care of the shower when it the walls look like it's dirty from day one. It will never look clean. Gabriel promised weeks ago to come again himself to look at what Frederico did but never did and he has stopped responding. I guess he doesn't stand behind the work his team does for him. He said I'd have to pay him full price all over again to spray the shower walls properly. I'd rather hire someone else who will guarantee good work. read more

I walked by my kitchen sink in the morning and noticed a hairline crack about 12 inches long that wasn't there the night before. I have a marble countertop over part of the sink so getting it replaced would be a crazy expensive option. So I did some research and decided a reglaze would be the best option to fix the crack. I reached out to a few companies and Gabriel at J&B responded that day with the best quote and explanation of what was needed to repair the sink. I ask alot of questions and he took the time to answer them all. He showed up on time, did a great job prepping the sink and protecting other areas of the kitchen. He even had a fan and ducts to help pump out the fumes from the acid wash and spraying. He fixed the crack and the sink looks great. I highly recommend J&B. Thanks Gabriel. Note: a kitchen sink reglaze will not last longer than a few years with normal wear and tear. Gabriel and one other company I called were upfront about this. It was also recommended I get a sink protector for the sink for pots and other items to help the reglaze last longer. I'm a General Contractor and usually have had re glazing done for clients. This time it was for my own home. Our shower had been painted 35 years ago and was pealing and looked terrible. I had given Gabriel a call and scheduled him to come out but then had to reschedule. Finally I was ready and my wife was out of town. I took off my shower doors and trim. Masked off my bedroom and he arrived at 7 am exactly when he said. He spent 4 hours prepping, filling holes and sanding. Finally he sprayed the finish and it looks beautiful. Gabriel is great; he has to come to reglaze our tub three times. I put a mat and a drain catcher with suctions on it which caused the peeling to start, now I've learned my lesson. He and his guys are really fast and the quality is good and the value is reasonable. The window of time he comes is very wide, so it's best to stay home for awhile to wait for him to come, but overall it only takes 1-2 hours at most. Takes 24 hrs to dry. It's smelly but the smell will go away after a few hours. read more

Gabriel did such an amazing job I had to contact them again for a full bathroom re-glazing including the tiles. In honesty truth I was NOT very happy at all when they completed this job. Someone else did the job. There were several spots that had paint dripping and the caulking looked sheity like he didn't even make an effort I could have probably done a better job caulking it, that's just how bad it was! But, when I messaged Gabriel regarding how unhappy I am with the final outcome, he came back the next day and redid the job. What a difference! It was definitely night and day. Definitely stepped it up! From caulking to the details of the line when they took out the tape. Even the lines are straight and looked cleaned! Such a SUPERB JOB! Wish I took a pic of it before Gabriel touched it but I did take manage to take pic of the caulking. You can tell the difference! This is a guy that takes PRIDE for his company's reputation.
