NEVER EVER EVER use this company. The owner Chris is one of the rudest individuals I have ever met. He was mean, nasty, and basically berated me for simply asking for clarity on pricing. I have never been spoken to more rudely in my entire life. Chris is not a professional and as such, I would NEVER recommend this company to my worst enemy. Do yourself a favor and choose a much more reputable tree removal service with folks that are kind, and happy to help you with your needs. This company is a joke. Go elsewhere. read more

The ower Chris is the rudest, most tempermental guy, who started yelling and cursing at me because I asked him simple questions about the equipment he wanted to drop off at my house. And when I said, "Is this really how you treat your customers?" He shouted, "If I was F#$N yelling at you, you'd "F$#N know it!" Good riddens. I do not recommend hiring this firm. Sorry. FYI I hate to flame any business, but I noticed this company is listed two ways- Galasso Tree company and GLA landscaping or similar. I am sure the crew is good at what they do, but the owner Gallasso is rude and doesn't respond in a timely manner to our calls, and he prefers to show up unannounced. We did not ask for much, and as I had never met the person, nor identify to him personally what trees I want to cut he just wanted me to mark them and do the work before I had even met him nor confirmed the project details? We had about 5-6 trees cut down and some others cut back. His office took my messages, but he took weeks to actually get back to me to schedule a meeting, as he didn't call back repeatedly. I called 5-10 times over a couple weeks, and I was a little annoyed, more so when his crew showed up without an appointment? I have dogs, and would need to move cars to give them proper access. Amazingly enough the guy was the most RUDE ANGRY guy I have ever come across ever! He said he was angry his his team came to my house without speaking with me, and amazingly enough when I asked what was wrong, he said I was just one of "those customers" who wasn't considerate of his time, yet he has the have the nerve to get super condescending and angry when it doesn't work out showing up unannounced. I was at work, and had no intention of engaging with him, but I asked why he was so upset and that I didn't appreciate him swearing at me or being h pleasant and not to bother coming back ever. My wife commutes into town with a friend of hers and she parks her car in my driveway daily, so them not giving us notice meant I couldn't move her truck. My wife was upset at his behavior, and noticed one sad/funny thing - we noticed there are numbers of reviews mentioning almost the identical experience (google reviews and professional review sites) where he becomes combative/incredibly angry with customers (one review referenced he screamed at female customers /his wife) which I am sure was especially concerning to those women??)? All because he doesn't handle, or know how to schedule his appointments accurately with advanced notice. I waited a heck of a long time to hear back from him, so to have them be nasty with me when he shows up on announced is completely inexcusable. He wanted to do the work anyway, and asked if he could drive his heavy trucks on my grass and newly landscaped yard, with all his heavy equipment in the wettest part of the spring season. I said he couldn't do that and asked what day he could come back after apologizing to him (even thought he didn't have an appointment, As I did receive a call the day before as I was really busy at work. I made an honest mistake called him back after hours, as forgot to call him back before they closed. By the way - I hired Steve's trees and he was great extremely pleasant, did great work, and actually he offered a little better pricing. Funny extra note - a month after mentioning this story to a buddy of mine, Gallasso's team was working on his neighbors yard, and Gallasso actually dumped his neighbor's tree on my friend's front yard for about a half a day while he was doing some tree cut backs. When my friend asked him if he needed help politely ( i.e leaving trees on his yard?) Gallasso was a smart aleck and became verbally aggressive and said "he didn't need any help". Amazingly consistent- Clear attitude and my buddy just laughed and told me the story a week later. Bad karma follows you. Be more professional and you might be more successful. read more

I wish I checked out yelp prior to booking this company. I contacted them to remove the tree. They were prompt in getting out to look at it, however they gave me a 4 to6 week window for the work to be done. After over nine weeks the we're still on able to let me know when they could do the work. The office said if I didn't like it I could go and get someone else to do it. In which I did. Don't bother go to Tree Tech out of Foxboro Mass. they're awesome read more

I do not recommend this company. Chris Galasso did work that I did not agree to, whereby he stripped 3 trees almost bare of their limbs. They look horrible and it is obviously irreversible. Not only did Mr. Galasso take no responsibility but when asked why he did this work, he yelled at me for 10 mins about how sick he is of the public not understanding the tree business. G&T needs to update their website, because customer satisfaction is not a main priority for them. What started off as a simple two tree removal project ended with Chris Galasso yelling at my wife. When we booked G&T, they said early in the week they would "hopefully" be out today and would confirm if they were coming. So of course, after zero confirmation beforehand, his crew showed up and when no one was available to move our car out of the way, instead of simply rescheduling due to lack of communication on his part, Chris thought it better to call and berate my wife. While Chris may have been the cheapest estimate for the project, I'm happy to pay a little more to have a professional come do the work instead. read more

I recently had 30 trees cleared from a very difficult to access area behind my house. G&T's quote was very reasonable & considerably lower than the other quotes I got. The crew was very skilled, efficient, & nice. They were also gracious about humoring my 4 year old and his multitude of questions about their equipment. Definitely would recommend. read more

My problem is not with his team's ability to remove trees. They did a good job. My problem is with the owner's attitude and the way he conducts himself. I found Chris to be rude, unprofessional, and to have a horrible temper. I listened to him saying terrible things about one of his own customers. I wouldn't give this man any business. Do NOT hire G&T Equipment and Landscaping (Chris Galasso). I made that mistake so you don't have to. They responded quickly with a quote on par with other estimates I received. However, when they came to remove a tree, their trucks destroyed my lawn. I now have six inch deep tire tracks throughout my front yard so that my one-year-old son can't even run around in his own yard without tripping. When I saw what they had done, I called and emailed asking them to come repair the damage. I wasn't asking for anything extravagant; I just wanted them to come fill in the tire tracks with soil and sprinkle some grass seed. I kept calling and emailing for six weeks, but Chris already had cashed my check, and never bothered to return my messages. Horrible way to treat a client! read more

The owner Chris arrived on the construction site to remove trees. He was hired by a subcontractor who had not arrived yet so I spoke with him. WOW! He went off saying the conditions were not the same as when he priced the job. The grass had been removed and they had to work in the dirt. I told him I understood and the people who hired him would be here in a few min. He responded "you do understand, no you don't give a @/$#%". The out fit that hired him arrived and went to talk to him with his hand out. Chris responded "I won't @%$&# shake your hand". I watched the exchange with my own eyes. As Chris was leaving he gave a business card to the outfit that hired him so he could be reach. But said don't ever call with any future work. He also gave me a card so I could reach him if needed. He also told me not to call with any work that he would never work for us. Odd as I was not the one who hired him or had anything to do with it. I did leave the colorful language he used out. To get this treatment from an owner of a company was shocking. His men were left to do the job. They were very professional and pleasant to work with. I feel bad as this no doubt affects them. read more
