I had a great experience with Regal Tree in 2017 when dealing with caterpillar spraying which is why I'm giving 2 stars. I can't say the same for my experience in 2018. The price I was quoted for the same exact job this year was almost double the price of last year. When I questioned it, I was told it was because I had contacted them late in 2017 and they were only able to come out and spray once, and this year they would come twice. Makes sense I guess so I went forward with it. The spray technician came out a few days later and supposedly did the first spray. I say supposedly because there were still caterpillars everywhere after the spray occurred. The previous year when my property was sprayed, there were hundreds of dead caterpillars by the following morning. He said he would be back in a week or two to complete the second spraying. After 3 weeks went by, I emailed the spray technician asking when he was coming back out. I informed him I was no longer seeing caterpillars (though I had never seen any dead ones...) and asked if we had missed the point where spraying would be effective. He said no because it was a late season. He came back out within a few days. Again, no dead caterpillars. Within a few days, there were Gypsy moths everywhere, and now there are egg sacs covering the tree. So whatever they did this year didn't work. I emailed Regal Tree before writing this to express my disappointment and to see what they advised. I didnt hear back. Looks like I will be using a different company next year. read more

This is one of the worst customer service I have ever experienced and a human being could tolerate. After they took my deposit back in December 2017 and schedule for tree removal service in February 2018, I then took my day off from work and waited for them to show up. I waited...and waited all day and their crew didn't show up, I didn't get a phone call or anything to notify me they weren't going to be there instead they made me have to call in to their main number to get an updated status. The lady Stacey in the office gave me the run arounds. I said ok no worries lets schedule it for another date. She said February will be good. I rescheduled for Regal Tree to come out in February but then it snowed and the ground was too saturated to do anything, they called me and told me to call back by the end of March, a series of events occurred including the winter Storm Riley where trees were down and power outage was everywhere across the Southern New England area. Regal Tree call me the next day after the storm and said they cannot come out to do my job because their crane has a broken part and was out of commission. I had doubts but I kept quiet and may have blew me off due to $torm Riley in March. Anyway long story short, no updates from them until today 5/1/18 had to call twice today the first time I left a voice mail and no one returned my calls the 2nd time later today Stacey picked up the phone. Stacey has the audacity to tell me over the phone that June will be the earliest they can come out and they are booked, I am very upset because this company took my down payment and deposited the check 5 MONTHS ago dating back to December 2017 then gave me the run arounds and having me wait until they felt it's appropriate for them to come out and do the job. The fact that a deposit for the tree removal was made last year in December 2017 why are they waiting 6 months to get the job done? You would have think that a tree removal job where deposit was made would be prioritize first? This is a lack of communication and poor customer service on their part. I wouldn't recommend this to happen to anyone and never hire this company to do any work on your property. read more

Outstanding job! Hired them to clear an area and remove trees . Showed up right on time , in fact my daughter was trying to dig up an azalea to save it before they started. ( I was at work and forgot to do this prior). One of the gentlemen got a Shovel from their truck and did this for her!!! Above and beyond their job. Very nice. I asked them to come back for something I added . They did this as well, the very next day. The job was completed and they cleaned up everything. Would definitely recommend. read more

Called to have my tree sprayed never shows had to continuously call, when I did hear back excuses abounded. The company had no issue cashing my check but a big issue following through on the work. Do not reccomend! read more

Absolutely do not hire this company. First thing I asked Kevin when he estimated my job was if they grinded stumps, I was very clear I did not have time to try and find a separate company to do this. I was assured they did, and it would be taken care of the same day they cut the trees. Crew shows up on scheduled day but I am told the stump grinder is broken and they would be back at the end of the week to finish the job. 3 weeks go by, not a word from them about coming back to finish. Then I get a bill for just the tree cutting, not stump grinding. I then get a call about payment, I tell Stacy I am not paying the bill since the job was never completed. Miraculously I get a knock on my door the very next day from an employee from Regal with a stump grinder to finish the job. I am 100% convinced if I did not owe them the money they would have never shown up to complete the job even though I conveyed how important it was to me that they do this. Also, they broke 3 big flagstone patio walkway stones, gutter, and scratched up the side of my house dragging the branches to the shredder. I never mentioned this to Kevin because I liked the guys who actually do the work here. read more

I have limited experience with tree removal, but Regal Tree was great. From initially getting a quote to scheduling and removal, they were always courteous and professional. We were having a mid-sized tree removed right next to our house so, while it was not a huge job, it was certainly stressful how close to our home the tree was. Regal Tree did a great job, ground the stump all the way down, and segmented the larger limbs down per my request so I could split them into firewood. On top of that, Regal Tree gave us the best quote out of the few that we received. Could not be happier with their service! read more

We contacted several tree removal services regarding removal of a large fallen tree from our yard. Regal gave us the best estimate by far. Their crew removed the tree relatively soon after we contracted with the company. Moreover, Kevin, the owner, was extremely responsive to all of our email inquiries throughout. In particular, when we followed up with him about the removal of debris left over from the initial job, he responded and assured us that his crew returned to finish the removal, which they did. read more

One of the best decisions I ever made. I was so nervous about how this was going to play out because the trees were gigantic and there were 23 of them. Man...those guys worked their tails off.
