Well, so far I've learned a small lesson the hard way. When negotiating a retail space lease,…read morealways have your own realtor. If the listing agent/property owner tells you that you don't need to involve another realtor in the contract talks...walk away. I trusted the Grisanti Commercial Realty Group to be honest and foreright when showing me the property...I WAS WRONG. So far it has cost me just over $5000. Today I had to file a written complaint with the Kentucky Association of Relators for multiple violations of their KAR Code of Ethics. Their agent failed to disclose numerous (14) hidden issues with the property and we are now involved in litigation. The landlord LEA, LLC has already settled, however the Grisanti Commercial Realty Group is slow walking the issues. They have hired two different law firms to dismiss the suit. On the other hand, they have also made two offers to settle, $250 and $700. Needless to say, I have not accepted. The bottom line is, if you are considering a commercial real estate company, my recommendation is to stay as far away from the Grisanti Commercial Realty Group as possible.
