The old Gables Laundry was a pleasure. Now the new management painted, installed a cafe and raised the prices 6% across the board. But wai, the worst part is that you now have to "Purchase a user card for $2.00). Then you have to refill the card (with $10.00 minimum refills?) I had a load that needed another 10 or 15 minutes to dry and when I went to the machine it said $10.00 minimum. One more detail, when I went to put money, it said oh we need to charge you 4% for credit card fees... WTF? Bye, Bye... taking my business elsewwhere. read more

I love coming to Gables dry cleaners to bring our comforters and larger items for washing. The staff does a great job and the turn around is super short. Within the dry cleaners they also have an alterations place that is a GEM. I have been going for years and I can't say more good things about them. Super professional, cost effective and detailed. We have been coming here for about a year washing our restaurant's tablecloth, everything was perfect until today. We were using 2 washers but none of them had hot water, we noticed because there was no water coming out of the washers and they were spinning inside and the time was running. We told a lady that was working there and she gave us an explanation of why that can happen. One washer was rinsing already without water and a little bit of the detergent was stuck to the clothes, detergent that we had to put with our hand because that wasn't working either (in the pictures attached you're able to see), we told the lady and she said it was perfectly washed, then we knew that she was the owner and then she told us that those are her washers and if we didn't like how they were working that we can leave and don't come back anymore. She didn't want to give us the money back ($11 ), we told her that that was not fair and at the end after all that bad time without need she gave us the money and left. No customer service at all and bad attitude without a reason, people need to be become more aware of how to run a business read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! I work in the gables and dropped off my sheet and comforter. I picked up my laundry today and I went home to only find out that they only gave me my comforter back how do you lose 50% of my laundry they're both huge and when I called the lady working on October 17 8:45pm on Friday she answered and said only Spanish Spanish Spanish because she can't understand and didnt even try to communicate with me then my boyfriend gets home who speaks spanish on the phone and she's talking about I only brought a comforter and she doesn't forget numbers and that my number was 280. My number wasn't even 280. She's wrong and then she tells me that she found a black sheet with some socks so I can drive there to see if that one's mine, mind you I didn't bring socks so why on earth want to waste my gas and energy to drive and see some dusty black sheet that does not belong to me. I've been needing to go to a landromat lately as my washer broke a few days ago, flooded my house (lol), and it's yet to be fixed. Conveniently right on Ponce, the staff here is very nice and patient. Space has a chill vibe to go in and do your laundry without anyone disturbing you. Also plenty folding tables, carts and the machines are still new condition. Dryers are always annoying as they take forever to dry anywhere, but not here!!!! Super quick and heat well. read more

Needed to wash an oversized blanket which required a larger machine than was in the condo. Last time I was even in a self serve laundromat was in college... 1980! The women working did not speak English but went out of her way to ensure I was taken care of. 2 customers, also rendered aid before I threw in a $20 in change machine. A straight forward laundromat- $2.75 per washer load, $0.25 per 7 minutes of dry time- they have their own parking lot, it's usually not crowded (weekends appropriately more busy than weekdays), can buy detergent for cheap if you don't have some. In and out in about an hour usually! read more

I've been coming here for 2 years. Always nice attention. Clothes are clean and ready in 1 or 2 days.

No one speaks English here, true; But that's not what got me: They lost or gave away a shirt of mine that I had them dryclean and said I must've been the one to lose it!! No apology, no offer for any free cleanings in exchange, nothing. Based on principal I can't go back. I usually don't make the time to trash some one or a business like this, but again based on principal I've got to tell about my experience. I hope whoever has my shirt can at least make sure to look good in it... read more

Much better now than under the previous ownership. The price per pound actually dropped one cent. The place is cleaner and brighter with even better washers and dryers. They added alterations services, as well as comfy couches and two big TV's to ease the wait. They even honor whatever "spoiled customer" requests I had before they took over. The only reason why I don't give them 5 stars is because the last time I picked up my laundry, they had let my clothes sit in the basket too long before hanging them and they came out wrinkled :/ .Otherwise most of my experiences have been positive. read more
