First time in, wanted something cold to drink and a small bite. I will try to update the Yelp summary here that says no alcohol - they have a full bar and happy hour specials for draft beer and house margaritas. (Also they have free WiFi, which was also marked as not available in the Yelp summary). I was glad to see that even though the salsa was medium/mild, it had some flavor from chilis and chili powder and was not at all sweet like some other local joints (you know who you are). When I asked for one with more heat, they delivered a sinus clearing but tasty alternative. Nice! I had a cold Dos XX, a single fajita taco and some refried beans. It was a healthy amount of tender and flavorful beef and the tortilla had been nicely warmed on the griddle, which is sooo much better than when they come out either straight out of a package or sort of steamed. The place was clean and tidy and all the staff seemed engaged and pleasant. I got great service from the bartender and got to see some tasty looking drinks go out from my seat. About 9 months ago (spring of 2024), Gabby's went from being our go to Mexican Restaurant to where it was pretty poor, with small portions of not so good food and average to poor service. Well something happened, not sure if it's a new manager or what but we ate there a month or so back and it was back to being good again. I waited until we dined there again to make sure it wasn't a one off and if anything the food and service is better than it ever was. Big portions, well seasoned, freshly prepared food all served by a very experienced and pleased server. If you have had a poor experience here in the past I would say give them another go as they have new items on the menu and whoever they have in the kitchen now knows how to cook! read more

When we were in the area visiting we came across this Mexican restaurant and stopped in for a Late lunch early dinner. Very nice waitstaff that took care of our needs. First they bring out hot fresh tortilla chips and salsa which is really good. There menu is basically the same as any Mexican restaurant. So we went with the fajitas and the carna asada tacos. All I can say is the food we received was tasty n delicious. The fajitas came out smoking hot and love the fajita setup,beans,rice,sour cream, guacamole& pico. The Carna Asada tacos were just as good with lots of steak in it. It wasn't a expensive dinner but it was a delicious dinner. I always order the steak A La Mexicana and ask them to spice it up . I have never had an issue with this up until today . It is so hot that I cannot physically eat it I have eaten so many spicy foods but this is beyond anything a person can eat . I guess I pissed off the chef because it was 30 minutes till close when I showed up . It was a to-go order and it was $31 and I left a $9 tip . I got home and tried it and it is so spicy that I can't even eat it !! I don't know who the chef is and why they thought it was funny to make something so spicy twerk a person cannot physically eat it! I love spicy foods but this is completely unacceptable and blatantly shows that the cook was just simply being an a****** I guess because it was 30 minutes till closing . I have eaten at this place twice, and each time the hostess was incredibly rude, we are a family of five and both times she tried to cram my family into a table meant for four people; when I requested a larger table she seemed incredibly annoyed and acted like I was inconveniencing her. On our first visit, the waitress made up for the rude hostess, she was attentive and polite, the second visit we had THE ABSOLUTE WORST WAITRESS I HAVE EVER HAD DURING A DINING EXPERIENCE. I would like to acknowledge that being a waitress is a difficult job and I understand if service is slow because the restaurant is busy, mistakes in the kitchen etc; however, this was not the case. You could tell she hated her job, she failed to bring anything you requested from her, and would storm off before you could even finish your request. I know it wasn't just our table, I overheard two tables next to us complaining about her service as well. I tried to look on her uniform for her name but it was not visible. I am not one to complain to managers and be a "Karen" but the service was so atrociously bad that I thought this nightmare experience might warrant a formal complaint. I guess the managers set the tone in this place because the man I assumed was the manager went to a few tables to inquire how the food/service was and ignored a large section of the restaurant. Overall, the food is okay (not great, not terrible) but the service is so bad that I will not be returning to this restaurant and will warn others not to as well. read more

This place use to be our go to mexican place. They have since expanded and built 2 new locations. The service went down and the flavor went down. Salsa was watery and you had to practically beg them if you want a second cup of salsa. We didn't have silverware until after our food arrived and we asked for it. I live only a minute or two away (sundowner) and when I got home and inspected the food; it was cold. I received no salsa and only one bag of chips with a 70 dollar order. We had a not so good visit our first time here about a year ago and decided to give them another chance . The food is way over priced for what you get and very low quality and seems microwaved When we arrived they brought us a half filled small basket of chips the salsa they bring out we each got about 2-3 tablespoons of salsa in a tiny bowl we had to ask another server to get us more chips because there wasn't enough chips to finish the tiny salsas let alone the cheese dip we ordered our server was a no show most of the meal and we never got our drinks refilled. She was spending more time sizing up the men that walked in the front door than watching her tables. I ordered the deluxe nachos and they left them under the broiler way to long the chips were burned on the tips and there were about 15 chips on the plate covered with a ground beef that was of a quality that a tv dinner would have been better.It had grated cheese that the burner had turned to dried plastic with about a quarter cup of lettuce with a teaspoon of chopped tomato about a tablespoon of sour cream that tasted nothing like real sour cream. It had about a tablespoon of guacamole which was the highlight of this dish. My daughter ordered a childs bean burrito with french fries it wasn't bad. I asked for another of their tiny salsas and found at bill time I was charged $3.25 for it ..outragous!!!. My wife got a couple enchaladas that seemed straight off a tv dinner and a taco salad. The taco salad was a wilted down soupy mess it was disgusting she couldn't eat it. When the waitress finally showed back up with the bill it was $32.50 this was lunch and we all were still hungry and my daughter had water to drink! Next time I think we will go buy 3 tv dinners and have better food and be more full on about 5 dollars. I don't really remember when I came here, it was me and my older sister we got seated right away. We got chips and salsa and drinks. I got their appetizer Shrimp Cheese poppers whatever it's called and I took the first bite and it tasted so bad and it didn't even have a lot of flavor that I expected to be. Then I got their chimichanga beef dinner and it didn't even have a lot of flavor either. It was so greasy I didn't even eat it anymore. The prices are cheap. If you go to a restaurant that have cheaper prices the food isn't going to be that good. If you go to a restaurant that their prices are expensive, they're food is going to be good. Idk if the cooks don't know how to cook Mexican food but their food is disgusting.This was my first visit here the service was good, the food wasn't that great.
