When the time came to plan her birthday party, she was super excited to have it at Let It Shine. All the kids had a blast, and Coach Ben was so engaging & energetic... he had the kids laughing and kept them entertained while they were on the floor. (a true hero IMO!) Coach Cheryl worked her tail off to get the party room set up, and kept the party on track so we didn't go over two hours. It would have been so much more stressful without her hard work! Two of the other kids told their parents they wanted to have their party's there too, and I take that to mean they really loved the experience. Money well spent, & I definitely recommend!

The following day Brooklyn was standing j line and when it was her turn to go in she went around the side of him.. in the attempt he grabbed her arms and then grabbed her right arm and shoved her to get in line. Brooklyn was so afraid.. when I arrived she was standing at the door face red and crying hysterically.. I asked what happen.. and ask to speak to the teacher and owner. I spoke briefly to Mr. Brent and he admits to grabbing her.- I recorded his response. The workers and staff was soooooo mean and nasty to me. They handled me like I was wrong.. the constantly callled me racist many times.. because I point out that Brooklyns was the only black girl in the incident or class and it didn't look good for a white man to be shoving around a child- any child it doesn't matter what color. Well when I talked to the owner.. she was actually awful during the exchange.. she was very defensive and acted extremely guilty.. I asked to see the video and have a copy and she told me she had an attorney and the attorney told her not to give it to me. She kept asking my why you want the video you just trying to find something.. I watched the video and it was bad. He clearly grabbed and it was obvious it was aggressive due to Brooklyns body language. She offer to give me free child care.. but i didn't feel safe with the my child going back.. my daughter begged me not to take her back cause she was scared. So I didn't take her.,, this was my first negative incident in Nashville. I had not intentions of trying to sue or call police.. but she handled me so horribly I was torn. I tried to got talk her today.... And they stopped answering my calls and refuse to let me speak to the owner. Once the saw me talking to police they came out with and attorney phone. If you have ever had issues with this facility.. or Mr. Brent reach out to me. Children need to be safe no matter what color they are.. parents should be treated with respect. A child in distress should be priority. My child was thrown to the side cause Maggie was trying to avoid a lawsuit. That wasn't even coming. The owner and her coach have went above and beyond to help with this and pull her out of her shell. The coaches have brought a group of girls who vary largely in age, together as a sisterhood more than a team. I love the fact that the coaches have become more like family. The coaches take time to find each athletes strengths as well help them overcome their shortcomings. I am looking at enrolling my niece as well now so she can experience the family and joy of cheerleading my daughter has.

The new owner Cathy Kiser has been coaching gymnastics for several years. She is USAG Jr. Olympic certified and a USAG certified Judge. Her dream was to own her own gym and with her husband being a United States Marine that dreamed seemed far away. Moving from Okinawa Japan where she coached for several years and began a USAG competitive program for our Military dependents. She was very grateful for the opportunity to make her dream a reality. Even though her family is stationed in Mississippi She lives in Pleasant View Tennessee where it was possible for her to make her dream a reality. Backstory: Sunday night she spiked a high fever suddenly so we didn't take her Monday. Bummer. But when her fevers continued to remain above 102 and she had GI issues as well, we were able to get her an appointment at her pediatrician on Wednesday morning. It turned out she had strep and another unidentified virus....which means 24 hrs of antibiotics before she's not contagious. We got a doctors letter verifying she absolutely couldn't attend camp until Friday. All that to say, Boost will absolutely NOT work with you!!! If your child gets sick (which often happens to kids) you are completely out all your money and will have a very sad child. Buyers beware!!! Their policy is completely inflexible - no exceptions!!!! My daughter got to go to camp for 1 day for $350, and that day was just a field trip to see a movie. They had a million excuses why they wouldn't work with us...even when I offered to pack my daughters lunch so she wouldn't partake in camp food and sit out of special guest visits so she wouldn't cost them more money. They said they're always full and couldn't add her in the next week (they actually had 30 spots open). A few quotes from the director when she finally responded by email after I called multiple days in a row. "First, let me say that I am so sorry that you have a sick kiddo and I pray for quick and complete healing." "As a mother of 3, I know how unpredictable and unavoidable illness can definitely be and how when it does rear its ugly head it can be at the most inconvenient times." "Customers are paying to secure their spot in camp similar to buying concert tickets. Unfortunately, there are risks that come with both of those purchases, as there are unexpected events that could possibly occur that sometimes cause us to have to miss out on things we paid for in advance." "We are not in the business of upsetting customers and honestly quite the opposite. Customer service is a priority of mine and I truly do aim to treat all of my customers the way that I love to be treated." Wow!!! Comparing a small town community program to a large venue concert (where people also have the option to resell their tickets if extenuating circumstances occur) doesn't make sense. Suggesting that customer service is a priority but being completely unwilling to work with one family experiencing an unfortunate illness is ridiculous. And offering "thoughts and prayers" and empathy as a fellow mother is demeaning at best when you actually aren't willing to be compassionate. Brynn Crady avoided my calls, offered zero customer service and acted like she could relate. In my 12 years of parenting, I've NEVER experienced a company so money driven with lack of customer care. I WILL NEVER send my child there or recommend this place. The coaches may be nice and the kids may enjoy the camp but the leadership ruined it! If you have $300 to risk, go ahead and sign your kid up and hope you don't experience a situation like I did.

Have had a good experience thus far…read more Lately however, there are strange young men pacing back and forth in an awkward manner in the middle of the gym floor without their shirts on. That is a bit strange and in my opinion inappropriate while there are dozens of young girls practicing. These guys should either practice at a different time or go to a regular gym. Or be in a totally separate section away from the little girls. In today's world, people need to be careful and wise. It is a problem waiting to happen in my opinion.

For this they've lost respect and credit.
