    Cool vibe!

Really wonderful find just off the highway! Food was basic and not the healthiest choices, hot dogs and pizza rolls, but good for what it is. Limited number of in house beers but sourced many locally. Great coffee and desserts. Wonderful outside play area and relaxing spot. Service was outstanding, very kind and thoughtful.

What a little gem! Great atmosphere and what great service. We were here for a friendship reunion had beers, wine slushes and a dip. Great prices and they had no issues with us bringing in our picnic lunch. They we having there 3 year celebration and we even won a hat in their raffle. It's so refreshing going to an establishment that shows such enthusiasm and makes costumers feel so welcome. Our server took time to tell us about places do go in the area. Go here you will not be dissapointed.

Great location and the service from Mandy was very helpful. We had excellent beer choices that paired well with taste buds and the pizza. Beer choices were the Amber Gone Nuts. Enniskillen, which is a stout and Sour Kid which is a prickly pear and guava sour. Highly recommend here it is only a 5 mile drive from the interstate and I can hike it out of our vehicle anytime. Love the decor with the addition of local art which is for sale, which adds to the love of WV craftsmanship and spirit.

We sat outside at the picnic tables so we could watch the Pacers game without our phone being too loud on the back patio and annoying other guests and to let the dogs chew on some bones and have plenty of room to sprawl out. We split a pizza and cheese curds and each had a side salad. The salads were HUGE and super fresh, we both loved them and it was a nice balance to the pizza and cheese curds. The pizza was thin and crispy and just what we wanted after a long day on trails. And you can never go wrong with cheese curds (it was also a huge portion). We each LOVED our beers! I had a sour gose and my husband had an IPA. We only did a couple of beers there because it was cold outside and we didn't want to stay super late, but I would go back here in a heartbeat. We were going to stop in and buy some canned beers to take back to Indy with us before we left town, but ended up not being able to because they are closed on Tuesdays. I hope to see them at Total Wine & More or as a guest tap at another brewery one day so we can have them again.

Old Spruce is the kind of place where people gather all day to hang out, grab a drink, and enjoy good food in a relaxed setting. After a full day on the slopes, it was exactly what we needed. We ordered the veggie tacos, tuna nachos, and the Asian tuna salad. Honestly, it was a pleasant surprise to find food of this quality at a brewery. The nachos were flavorful, crunchy, and had just the right kick of spice. But the tuna -- that was the real standout. I know they say not to eat seafood far from the coast, but this completely defied that rule. It practically melted in your mouth and was perfectly seasoned. The veggie tacos were also excellent -- so hearty and well-balanced that you could almost mistake them for having meat. The staff gave off that "everybody knows your name" vibe -- very local, welcoming, and family-oriented. It made the whole experience feel warm and authentic. If you've been skiing all day and want a laid-back place to relax, eat great food, and enjoy a cozy mountain atmosphere, Old Spruce is absolutely worth a visit.

We ordered a $15 rectangle Detroit pizza, which was absolutely superb. However, they serve such a flimsy, plastic knife and fork. You can barely cut through the pizza much less eat it! I am emphasizing "strongly" that the business invest in better plasticware. My friend had a Diet Coke that was served in a can with a straw and it wasn't very cold. They don't provide ice, which is also a bit of a problem for people who like cold soft drinks. Also ice is pretty much necessary in water and some people like to also put it in their white wines. Other than that, what a great little restaurant downtown, Charleston is lucky to have them

A major plus to this Seasonal Depression Sufferer! We went to the bar to place our order! We opted for the Knotty Boy Garlic Knots for $10 & the Fully Loaded Detroit Style Pizza for $15I had a bottle of water and though he was very disappointed that it was ONLY their WV Craft Beer served, he went with what the bartender recommended (closest to a PBR & Budweiser that they offered ) for $5.50, total with taxes & Tip was $42. We were surprised that the food was out in like 15 minutes. We fully expected to wait since Detroit Deep Dish normally takes 30 minutes to 45 minutes to cook fully. This led us to believe it was PAR BAKED for faster Customer Service which to many is NOT A PLUS! The Garlic Knots were very doughy and extremely dense in texture. Not a fan! The service was fast and friendly but for the atmosphere, price and the fact they are trying to be trendy, the paper plates & plastic cutlery was a BIG NEGATIVE!! I know myself even if Melanac Hard Plastic for plates is okay, but I want true Silverware!! The sauce has a really Great flavor and the cheese pull was very nice on the pizza. The sauce served on top, a big big plus!! I live in Ripley, WV and drove 35 minutes one way to enjoy this meal, but the question is...would I do it again?? Probably NOT! I give them a 5 out of 5 on atmosphere and ambience they nailed that! I give them a 4 out 5 on Customer Service because the food came too fast!! I give them a 3 out 5 for the food, the sauce was perfect but everything else about taste and flavor was a hit and miss. The score might have been higher if I had left off the Knotty Boy Garlic Knots!! The beer though I tasted it wasnt bad but Im not a beer drinker, my hubby was very disappointed so thats 2 out of 5 stars and the tableware scores a zero!! I wasn't on a picnic and the paper and plastic screams picnic or lazy kitchen staff to me!! So, would I recommend? I must say overall, 3 stars out of 5 stars! I recommend you go and decide for yourself!
