Young gal at register should NEVER be allowed to speak to public! She couldn't tell me what they had on tap, what an IPA was and exhaled sharply when I showed her the pictures of beers we saw at Tamarack we wanted to purchase! Talk about bother her! When I asked for the Oktoberfest, we're out. Black ale, we're out. The couple next to me rolled their eyes when I glanced at them. When cashier went into cooler for the Mothman Black IPA woman said she's made it clear she doesn't want to be here. I understand they had and event the night before, but attitude and customer service is what keeps customers coming back! When I worked Mardi Gras I worked 15+ hour shifts for 7 DAYS. No time for attitude towards PAYING customers. Her attitude was so bad it's one of the few times I DIDN'T tip! As a bartender I always tip but not her!

Dog friendly

We really enjoyed all of the beers we tried and watching the brewery "in action" as they canned some of their beers.

I spent a month in Lewisburg this summer and had tried all of the GVB's brews I could find in the can.

While at Snowshoe Mountain, I was recommended to try a local favorite -- Old Spruce -- and it did…read morenot disappoint. Old Spruce is the kind of place where people gather all day to hang out, grab a drink, and enjoy good food in a relaxed setting. After a full day on the slopes, it was exactly what we needed. We ordered the veggie tacos, tuna nachos, and the Asian tuna salad. Honestly, it was a pleasant surprise to find food of this quality at a brewery. The nachos were flavorful, crunchy, and had just the right kick of spice. But the tuna -- that was the real standout. I know they say not to eat seafood far from the coast, but this completely defied that rule. It practically melted in your mouth and was perfectly seasoned. The veggie tacos were also excellent -- so hearty and well-balanced that you could almost mistake them for having meat. The staff gave off that "everybody knows your name" vibe -- very local, welcoming, and family-oriented. It made the whole experience feel warm and authentic. If you've been skiing all day and want a laid-back place to relax, eat great food, and enjoy a cozy mountain atmosphere, Old Spruce is absolutely worth a visit.

The beer here is great, the smash burger though? It's what dreams are made of. It's also pretty…read morecool that it's big enough that kids can run around outside and not disturb people. I felt very comfortable bringing my daughter here and she enjoyed playing with the other kids. The service is also world class - fast and an absolute delight!

Lots of bonus points for being dog friendly! Also enjoyed the fire pits and Cornhole games! Service was friendly and efficient.

We were visiting the area and wanted to check out a local brewery…read more We arrived shortly after 7pm after parking in a small parking garage down the street since their parking lot was full. It was a beautiful fall evening and there were a good number of people enjoying both the outdoor and indoor spaces. We made our way inside and were impressed they also had a live band playing on the stage. We looked around a bit, enjoying the industrial feel of the building and the music. We took a place in line and ultimately I chose a pint of the Bareback Bronco IPA. We love good swag so we made our way to look at the offerings. My wife quickly commented on their cute and clever designs which are printed on soft, comfortable cotton shirts, hoodies, etc. They also had a good selection of assorted discount t shirts available in small, xxl and xxxl sizes. The band engaged the audience with the Chris Stapleton favorite, Tennessee Whiskey which was fun. We ultimately decided to enjoy one of the high top tables outside while I drank my beer, which I enjoyed and ended up purchasing an additional 4-pack for our long weekend in Roanoke. Great stop, if you enjoy local breweries, make sure to stop in. We noticed they are also open Sundays. We did see some people with food that appeared to either have been delivered or they brought with them.
