We only used him a couple of times, but in retrospect we could've served ourselves and our family far better by making the short drive to Coquille for this type of care as opposed to wrestling with North Bend Medical Center and Bay Area Hospital over the many years we've lived around here. Nice guy. Caring, compassionate, and if he doesn't know the answer, he's not afraid to say so. Gee... I need to find out if he's still in business. For some reason I'm thinking he retired. Good doc. When a tiny hospital cannot figure out when or if its lab is open, it makes you wonder what kind of…read moremedical care you'd receive there! I called the LAB on Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and the man in that Dept. said the LAB would be open for blood tests on Friday after T-Giving from 7-noon. I showed up in freezing temperatures, only to be told that the LAB WAS CLOSED on Friday, but would be open 7-noon on Saturday. I called on Saturday before going there, and was told NO, the LAB was closed on Saturday to all outpatients. Since my blood tests require fasting, I went ahead and made breakfast. Later, I got a call from Tina, the person I had spoken with earlier, who told me she found out the LAB was indeed open to outpatients until noon! But that news came too late for me, since I had already eaten. FOR GOD'S SAKE! THIS HOSPITAL IS TOO SMALL TO HAVE SUCH HORRIBLE MISCOMMUNICATION PROBLEMS! I'm just one person, but 3 miscommunications over 3 consecutive business days = COMPLETE CLOWN SHOW!!! This problem needs to get fixed and stat! Thanks for ruining my travel plans for the long weekend!
