When we asked the host where the line was, she just kept laughing and repeating "it's right there," even though there were multiple lines and it was unclear where to go. The whole interaction felt dismissive and disrespectful. It's really disappointing to see how the atmosphere has changed -- it no longer feels welcoming, especially toward Hispanic customers. I speak perfect English and was born here, but the attitude I experienced made me feel unwelcome. I won't be coming back.

I have never had a long wait in the checkout line. Maybe one or two customers were ahead of me in the checkout line but it didn't take long for me to checkout, because it always goes fast. Cashiers have always been friendly and helpful. The only problem with Wegmans is their enormous size inside their store. From produce to cold boxes is a long walk for an old man like me and sometimes I think I may have to show my passport. Back to their groceries. I am amazed at the freshness, quantity, and variety of their produce. It stays the same for their other grocery items too. Whatever strange grocery item you are seeking, seek it at Wegmans and you should find it. The store has always been clean and a well lighted place. Next time you need some groceries, try Wegmans.

It was frustrating to be put in this position, especially since I followed the ordering process correctly. The inventory issue was clearly not my responsibility. However, being on a tight schedule and needing the ham for the holiday, I felt pressured to pay an additional $17 to upgrade to the larger size. This situation could have been handled much better from a customer service standpoint. Offering the 10-pound ham at the originally purchased 8-pound price would have been a reasonable solution and would have avoided unnecessary frustration. Unfortunately, there wasn't time to debate the issue in the moment.

They will always offer help out to your car which is hit or miss elsewhere. They also offer a full pharmacy and you can get your flu shots there for free. Finally, this Harris teeters has a Starbucks inside so you can get your caffeine fix on the way in - or on the way out - and their service is just as good as the regular Starbucks. This is one stop shopping at its best. Highly recommend.
