I just ate at Lorena's Deli and I am no longer in Manassas. My husband and I ordered papusas and carne asada and I swear the first bite teleported me straight to Jutiapa, Guatemala. No passport, no layover, just pure, unfiltered authenticity. The carne asada was so tender it apologized for being delicious. The papusas? I heard angels singing in Spanish and they were harmonizing with the sizzle from the grill. Service was FAST, kind, and genuinely happy to see us, which is rare in 2026. Also: there were adorable kids playing in the background and it made the whole place feel like someone's abuela's kitchen on a Sunday. I wanted to adopt the entire vibe and live there. Sub-par breakfast burrito. Waaaay too many onions & peppers. I was really trying to like it, but couldn't finish.

This 3 times I have been bye and they have been closed. 0630 4/3/24 they were just pulling in the parking lot to open up, 5:20pm (I asked the guy bringing groceries in what time they open, he said 0600) my fault I thought they were open until 6pm, 0615 4/4/24 no one there at all! If you say you open at 0600 then someone actually has to be there and open and get the grill hot! If you need to change your hours that's understandable.... But don't say 0600 knowing that you won't be open!!! read more

YUM! I used to live in Utah where Mexican restaurants are very popular. There is one chain in particular that is known for their MASSIVE and yummy breakfast burritos. After living here 3 years and searching high and low, Virginia has proven to be seriously lacking in a good breakfast burrito (unless I want to pay an arm and a leg at Eggspectations for one) that is, until I found this place. Searching around Yelp one day, desperate to find something even close to my missed breakfast burritos, this place came up in my search. Could this be it? Could all my dreams be coming true!? I called in an order one day, planning to pick up two, one for myself, and one to drop off to the hubby at work. I ordered one bacon and one sausage. The guy running the cash register was very friendly and funny. He said he had the chef remake the burritos as she had made them both with both bacon and sausage. Nice of him to catch that. $16 for the two burritos. Not too bad, we paid $12 for two in Utah. The burritos are massive, I can't eat an entire one in one sitting. Well worth the price. They come with black beans, sour cream and hot sauce. He warned me multiple times that the sauce was very very hot. It was pretty hot but I'm a fan of heat, and once you add it with the sour cream it balances it out. The burritos still ended up both having both sausage and bacon, but I'm not complaining, they were amazing. As common with breakfast burritos, they were lacking in meat. Over the phone I requested double meat but I don't think that happened. Unless that was why they both had bacon and sausage, I'm not sure. But regardless, these weren't a perfect match, but the closest I have found and I am beyond thrilled to have found these. So good! read more

A great new Deli in the neighborhood! If you like fresh, home made deli sandwiches you must stop in and meet Carlos & Lorena. Open only for three months they are growing their business as a start-up leveraged from their catering business. They are in a small strip center off Route 28 near the 234 PWC Parkway Interchange between the Tokyo Barber's and the Pipe Shop. I ordered take out but they have four booths and a bright and well decorated restaurant. I wanted some soup with chicken and rice as i've not been able to score any at area mexican or latino restaurants in my Manassas hood. You also get a grilled cheese with this great $4.99 value. I gave this place another shot, making sure to request less than the normal amount of tater tots in my sausage breakfast burrito and that did the trick (as did ordering sausage - I had tried the bacon one the first time and disliked it for how undone the bacon was). The sausage breakfast burrito with light tots is one of the best breakfast burritos I've had. Further, my husband ordered carne asada and it is the *best* carne asada in the Northern Virginia area. It is exactly the way they make it in El Salvador. Every other restaurant we've ordered carne asada at (and that's upwards of 5) doesn't hold a candle to Lorena's. It's the perfect cut of meat, the perfect season, cooked to the perfect degree of doneness. HIGHLY recommended!!! read more

That scrapple breakfast burrito SLAMS. The staff here are very nice too. I'm almost shamed to say I've only been here a few times because the chow really is great. The burrito I got this time was quite large, filled with potatoes and eggs like you expect breakfast burritos to be. It departs by having some small, properly cooked and portioned onions and peppers and SCRAPPLE. My nephew ordered some wings and said they were good, just not as good as buffalo wild wings. I looked up breakfast places in Manassas and Lorena's had good reviews, so my hubby and I stopped in. We have been to Trojan Firearms many times, but had never even noticed it. The first thing that impressed us was the cute gal behind the counter who greeted us with a smile and warm welcome. We both got the breakfast burrito, which was stuffed with potato, beans, chorizo, egg, onions, cream and cheese. It was enormous! It was delicious. The textures of all of the ingredients blended together perfectly. The potato added a little crisp texture and the flavors were perfect together. It didn't even need the red or green salsas that were served on the side, but they were both tasty. Interestingly, the green salsa was spicier than the red. Overall, the experience was great. I have been ordering their ham, cheese, & egg breakfast sandwich. It is served on a texas toast kind of sandwich bread. It's really good & I recommend it. So why did I give it 2 stars you ask? Because I tried a breakfast burrito when I came with my best friend. She ordered her burrito with chorizo. I didn't know what chorizo was so she explained it to me which sounded delish so I asked for chorizo in mine too. The guy who took our order was surprised that I didn't know what chorizo was. He seemed offended & I really didn't know what the big deal was. I wasn't rude about it & actually wanted to try it. The guy at the register was really rude to me afterwards & gave a big stink about it. Because of this I won't be coming back. I don't like to feel uncomfortable at eateries. I kept getting stares while I ate to see if I liked it. Just ask me if I like it, don't stare at me all the time. I'm being generous with 2 stars. Lorena is really nice if you ever get to meet her. After several years of driving by this place and wondering what it was like, I stopped in one day for lunch... The guy taking orders behind the counter was friendly and engaging and helpful with placing orders. (He basically suggests everything on the menu, because he said it was all amazing!) The restaurant is nicely done on the inside, nothing special, but the name implies it's a deli, where it's more of a regular restaurant, but without table service, as they have an order counter. The items we ordered were done very nicely! Chicken burrito was tasty and fresh and their al pastor tacos were really nicely done too. Overall, we enjoyed it and I can't wait to return and try their breakfast burrito. read more

Trust me, you'll end up with the best breakfast burrito you have ever had outside of the Southwest! Lorena's Deli is special. The owner, Lorena, is passionate about food and either she or her sister are there to help make the food and ensure it is top quality. She loves talking with her customers and loves talking about food. Each time I have visited, I notice that if I order something like Sopes or a dish with tortillas, the cook grabs some dough and starts to knead and slap the tortillas to make them fresh right then! Most folks get takeout, but there are a few booths to sit down in and I often make it a point to sit down and take some time to eat. The menu is heavily Guatemalan influenced, with some carefully added American deli standards. However, Lorena is careful about only serving what she can ensure is top quality. The rolled tacos are the real thing, and I haven't had any this good since San Diego. The Sopes were new for me and they were fun to try. If you never had Sopes, try one. They are messy, but fun and delicious. The soups are outstanding, homemade and another part of the menu worth exploring. I haven't been able to visit when there were any fresh Tamales available, but I keep hoping, as good fresh Tamales seem to be hard to find around here. read more

Our server was adorable. Such a cute personality. She did take a while to deliver my husband's soda, but was so sweet about it, you couldn't be upset. I ordered bacon and egg breakfast tacos and they were very good. They came with crema, pico de gallo, and a cold bean dip. I don't know if the beans were meant to be warm- they would've been better if they were. My tacos were very good. There were green peppers in them and those usually repeat on me. They didn't- and the 2 of 3 tacos I ate kept me full for a very long time! I had a side of sweet plantains and they were fantastic! The husband had a breakfast burrito. It was huge. There were far too many tater tots in them for him, but it was a good breakfast overall. He did say next time he'd have the tacos to skip the potatoes in the burrito. Came in for the first time today. Decided on the chorizo burrito and scrapple burrito. My husband requested no onions on his but it still came with it. They insisted on making a new one even though my husband didn't complain (they noticed him digging through the burrito). Both burritos were good but better with the refried beans, crema, and salsa verde. The tater tots are really crunchy. My 3 year old liked the tots, fried egg, and sausage.
