The billing manager who sits at the receptionist desk sent my bill to an incorrect address (major HIPAA violation). This upset me very much. Additionally, the bill was for an amount in excess of the agreed-upon treatment plan, and there were no details as to what the extra amount was for. In speaking with the billing manager, she promptly hung up on me. I called back to talk with Dr. Rizwan to advise him of the situation. The billing manager sarcastically replied, "He is busy. Oh, don't worry, he will get the message and call you back." Three weeks have passed, and Dr. Rizwan has not returned my call. I believed we had a good dentist-patient relationship. However, I was wrong. It has been three weeks, and I have not received a response to date. I referred people to the Kentlands Dentistry practice, and they will not be returning because of this. Shame on the billing manager who felt so comfortable hanging up on a paying customer and for her very unprofessional manner. I am also disappointed that Dr. Rizwan would allow such an employee to work there and behave in such an unprofessional manner, and that he never returned my call. I thought I had finally found MY dentist. Very disappointing to say the least. Maybe the billing manager was a family member of Dr. Rizwan's, but she was horribly rude and upsetting. A HIPAA violation is taken very seriously and cannot be ignored.

Having had a bad experience I had a lot of anxiety about going into the same procedure, Dr.Stiles talked me through the whole process and answered all my questions with such a sweet and comforting bedside manner. We then discussed multiple options and payments, which gave me options on what I wanted to do and what I wanted to pay. During procedure day Dr. Stiles talked me through every step after we agreed that's what I wanted and when the process was done she handed me a mirror and asked me if I was okay with the outcome and if I wanted anything changed, we worked together to get it just right. The best thing about this experience was Dr.Stiles's chair-side manner. She never made it seem like she was in a rush or that I was just another patient - something I had felt often at my previous dentist's office. The reviews are true - a warm experience with experienced dentists. So happy that my dental experiences are no longer have to be filled with so much anxiety.

I should say, the reception staff is great. They were helpful and accomodating, assisting me in getting an appointment the same day for both a cleaning and booking additional time if any other services were needed. However, that is where the positive experience ended. The hygienist who handled the cleaning was rude, condescending and disorganized. I spent a total of 45 minutes back in the chair, of which a total of 6 minutes was spent on the cleaning. The remaining time, the hygienist was walking in and out of the room, trying to make their equipment work, and making snide remarks. When the dentist arrived for an evaluation, it was not much better. He and the hygienist argued about what equipment should be used, what equipment was available. The dentist barely did a clinical exam, instead relying almost entirely on x-rays they took. Further, although I had booked time to resolve any issues he found, he said he would rather wait to clean some cavities he identified without providing any reason why it would be in my interest. In the end, I appreciated the office's ability to get me an appointment quickly, but the attitude and treatment I received was woefully subpar. I will not be returning to this office.

During my first visit, 99% of the work was done by a hygienist, yet Dr. Li quickly claimed several of my teeth were so worn down they would soon be 'unsalvageable' without immediate treatment. This contradicted my previous dentist's assessment. On my second visit, Dr. Li insisted I needed a full-head X-ray, claiming it was my insurance requirement and that refusing it would be 'malpractice' on her part. I later discovered my insurer had no such requirement. A second opinion from a different dentist has since confirmed that no work is necessary and that minor wear is normal for my age (78). I found Dr. Li's approach to be unprofessional and profit-driven rather than patient-centered.

After having over 9k of work in January of 2025, and 4 hours total in the dental care, over 3 weeks, Dr. Azimaie did not give me the proper detailed aftercare instructions and then brushed off any complications I had afterwards as my fault- . Which were quite extreme and painful. In addition, it took Dr. Azimaie two times to install my bridge. He cracked the first one and didn't acknowledge it. Dr. Azimaie is cutting corners and not taking the time to truly take care of his dental patience. I went to my original dentist after much aggravation of dealing with complications of aftercare with Dr. Azimaie, to get a second opinion. Dr. Nova noticed Dr. Azimaie did not properly remove the cement around my new bridge and failed to tell me I have a cavity; a simple discovery of proper and thorough dental care. However, Dr. Ghafari examined my teeth very carefully and found it was coming from the shape of my tooth and my bite. I feel no pain at all now!!! I've seen many dentists, so I can safely say there's a difference between what impression you have as a patient and what is actually done in your mouth. I saw another negative review here, but my experience has been completely different. I can't say Dr. Ghafari is the most friendly dentist or one who gives lip-service, but I can say she is very resonable and honest about her procedures. She seems to be a perfectionist, which means she doesn't seek a short-cut to save her time and money. You should recognize how long it normally takes to clean your teeth. It can be less than 10 mins in some dental office, but that's not necessarily a good thing. That's why sometimes you have to wait in the waiting room a little more, but think if the previous patient were you. I'm pretty sure she could be way faster if she wanted. And moneywise, other offices may charge you less out of pocket but far more in insurance money that you need to use in your future. My wife had this experience, and it made me more grateful to Dr. Ghafari. At least she's straightforward about costs. For the last thing, I really want to say that you'll find how good dentist she is in how you feel about your teeth as time goes by.

When Dr Gilbert moved from Montgomery Village to the Darnestown area, there was no doubt that I would follow him despite it being a bit of a drive. He has referred me to great specialists (endodontists, orthodontists).
