I was also lucky enough to have Miriam squeeze me in to redo my ear piercings. At first he seemed fine, if gruff and not all that friendly. He the proceeded to give me both the worst tattoo and worst tattooing experience of my life. I am a heavily tattooed person - I have a full back piece and my hands and stomach tattooed - and the tattooed he put on my inner arm hurt more than any other tattoo I've gotten. It was almost as if he was enjoying causing me pain. When I winced he made mocking comments about my other tattoos being "fine line" no knowing that I have traditional tattoos other places on my body. And the tattoo itself is the worst applied one I've ever gotten. It's completely blow out and looks like I've had it for 100 years. I cannot recommend anyone get tattooed here.

He's perfectionist and his line work is amazing. He did my friends tattoo. I got Brian. He touched up my old tattoo so it didn't look bad next to the new one since they are both chest pieces. He followed 20 year old lines I couldn't even tell were there anymore! He's an amazing artist as well. We got many that's awesome for our idea. That was great too! She had a different…read moreartist and had a great experience -- she was comfortable and her tattoo turned out exactly how she wanted. Unfortunately, my experience with Mo was very different. Even though we called ahead and were told walk-ins were fine, it felt like Mo wasn't prepared for me. Instead of setting up a proper tattoo table (which I saw folded up in the corner), he had me lie on my side on a small, unstable bench. As a bigger girl, this was extremely uncomfortable. I was literally struggling to stay on the table the entire time, and the position was awkward for the placement of the tattoo. I told him multiple times that I was uncomfortable and that the position hurt more than the tattoo itself, but nothing was done to make me more comfortable. At the time, I didn't push the issue because I was happy with how the tattoo looked initially. Now, almost a year later, the tattoo has changed significantly and no longer looks the same. There's a noticeable gap where the stem meets the flower, and overall it just doesn't look how it should. It's disappointing, especially since my friend is still happy with hers and we went into this experience hoping for matching results. I wish I had been made more comfortable during the session, especially after speaking up, and I wish my tattoo had held up better over time. Overall, I was unhappy with my experience.

I am not sure if my artist was new, and know that can be expected in some places on tattoos sometimes, but it is a good chunk of the tattoo. My husband also overhead a conversation between the front desk person and my artist regarding the pricing of my tattoo, and overhead the front desk person being surprised at how high my tattoo was priced. I am not sure if it was because I mentioned we were from California and tattoos are pricy out here, but it didn't sit well with me after hearing of the conversation. Just a warning to out of town folks especially. The two stars is for the tattoo because I generally like it, but up close the work wasn't done well and I wouldn't return to the shop for future work.

I checked out her Instagram account and stopped by. I showed her two pieces of artwork, heard her ideas, and made an appointment. Not only did Brandi do a beautiful rendering of the picture I brought in, but she's a great conversationalist, which made the hour or so sitting fly by. My tattoo healed perfectly without much of that ugly scabby phase at all. She gives you detailed instructions on taking care of it, and guarantees her work forever.
