Found this place for dinner during our trip and we were so excited to find this was Michelin recommended. The atmosphere was very light, airy and green. We had great service and they provided wonderful recommendations. We ordered everything family style and shared each of the dishes. Each dish was so flavorful and delicious bringing authentic Thai flavor in each bite.

Overall I think this is a good spot if you more so want ambience/a chill spot to catch up with friends and you're just craving some Asian food. But overall I thought the Thai food was mediocre. Might have just been our order though! We waited around 30 minutes for our green curry entrees. My friend said the tofu was good, but I would skip the beef as majority of the portion was fat. The rice was also overcooked and the cocktail was okay. Servers were nice but hard to get ahold of.

Enjoying Thai food, we booked a lunch reservation here after reading about it in the Michelin guide. Here's my family of three's experience. 1) Food: It's more unique Thai food with creative spins on dishes. You won't find staples like green curry with chicken or tom ka gai soup. You will find chicken dumplings beautifully molded into blue dough and papaya salad with jumbo shrimp. We enjoyed every dish, including the beef dish with egg and rice. My wife and daughter found the pad Thai a little too crunchy, but it does come inside an egg (cooked like an omelet). 2) Drinks: We enjoyed our cocktails. The guava mimosa was very refreshing! 3) Service: It was attentive and friendly. Our food came out as it was ready from the kitchen so it's staggered. 4) Space: It's beautiful and fits its neighborhood well. We sat in their courtyard with green plants everywhere. We sat by an outlet and charged our phones as we ate. 5) Prices: This is where it's hard to justify. Yes, the food was good, but WAY more expensive than many places in CDMX. Why spend over $125 on a lunch for three when we could have world-class tacos for mere dollars.

A must try green curry here. Authentic and talented chef/owner Anna put all together in this restaurant. Anna is Thai native. Tom yum goong is amazing, too. Their smokey ice cream is die for. Beautiful setting and they have romantic room which was previously hotel's bar area. Very charming.

Amazing place to eat. The food brought me right back to Phuket, Thailand! Everything is instagram worthy. This isn't a place that the price is high only for ambiance and pretty looking food. The food was to the highest degree of quality, the staff are very friendly and attentive. This was a Michelin star experience in every way from the moment I stepped inside to the moment I was leaving in a taxi.

Galanga exceeded my expectations. The service was impeccable. Our server, Armando, was excellent. He was personable and attentive. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. I highly recommend!

this place was suggested to us by a friend upon our arrival and i'm sooo grateful. first off, it's stunning and pristine. it felt super luxurious and the service was wonderful. second, the fooood! omg. so so good! we had pad thai, friend rice & an app i can't remember the name of but worth every penny. they even had cute fish utensils perfect for a pisces princess celebrating her bday. we tried the mango sticky rice as well which was served with a coconut ice cream. i didn't love the mango sticky rice but my bf enjoyed the coconut ice cream for sure.

Do not eat here!!!!! I happened to eat at this place by accident while living in Mexico and found out of the blue about the head chef mistreating the rest of the employees. Food is just mediocre, nothing too special. The head chef at this establishment has been openly abusing the Mexican employees, creating a hostile and toxic work environment that no one should have to endure. She constantly insults them, calling them derogatory names like "Indians" and worse, treating them as if they are beneath her. Instead of showing leadership or professionalism, she resorts to physical aggression, hitting employees and belittling them in front of others. Her racism is blatant, and she makes it clear that she does not see these workers as equals. To make matters worse, she has been actively exploiting them financially, refusing to pay them properly, and when she realized she couldn't fire them outright, she found a loophole by moving them to an outsourced company. This shady maneuver allows her to fire them more easily and pay them under the table, avoiding legal responsibilities and fair wages. The injustice is glaring, and with the ridiculous prices customers are paying for meals here, there is absolutely no excuse for this level of exploitation and abuse. It's disgusting, and something needs to be done to hold her accountable. I'm very much surprised to see this type of behavior as I have traveled multiple times to Thailand and interacted with Thai people, they're so kind and friendly, I honestly don't know what's up with her. Here's a link to watch the video of her abusing the employees https://www.instagram.com/reel/DHL_n8eOWYr/?igsh=cjIxbDd6bmVhZHZy

First time here. Was recommended from tiktok. Food was amazing! Super authentic and great flavors. Our plates did not come out at the same time, so our food got a bit cold waiting. I had the KHAO SOI and it was delicious! I opted for the chicken, but the soft shell crab sounded great too! Our dinner was also interrupted by a fire alarm and evacuation (??). Regardless the restaurant brings so much charm and is beautifully decorated. Would recommend and come back! Next time I need to try the deserts!

Best cocktail that I had in my life. Coconut cream w/ jelly and mango. I can't recall the name but have attached a picture. Drinks stood out compared to food, but food had thought and creativity as well. Recommend the Tom kha soup. Wonderful ambiance and friendly service. If you are in roma Norte and in the mood for Asian cuisine , try it out and mix it up!

This hits the spot if you're in Mexico City and caving Thai food. The taste is a little off if compared to the Thai dishes in America. Fast and friendly service and just have a very inviting ambiance.

Galanga - galanga - galanga! I've been missing Thai food in Monterrey, Mexico, and so when I planned this trip to Mexico City, a friend strongly recommended this restaurant, and it is a gem. Wow! It's a large restaurant set into a large traditional Mexican home. The space is perfect with a high-ceilinged main area and cozier, but not too crowded, bar area. There are lots of fresh flowers and in the evening candles. Waitstaff is knowledgeable. They know the dishes inside and out and make excellent recommendations and pairings. Take some time with the menu as sometimes they have seasonal dishes in addition to their standing list of dishes. The house cocktails are luscious, bright, and beautiful, so enjoy one while you're deciding what to order. The flavors in the food are vibrant and strong, and the ingredients are high quality and fresh. I've eaten from both their seasonal menu (spring) and their standing one. The som tum (green papaya salad) from the spring menu was perfect. The tom kha gai soup was perfect in Mexico City's heat, incredibly comforting, even though it had been a winter staple for me in Detroit. It gets buys and prices are high for the area. Don't be surprised if you have a bit of a wait for food, and don't hesitate to flag down the waitstaff. They'll be happy to help.

We were excited to try Galanga after a week in Mexico City as we were ready to try a different cuisine in the city. We made a res for dinner the day before just in case it got busy and it was a good thing we did as there was a line outside when we arrived around 8pm. We ended up ordering the khao soi, claypot rice vermicelli with prawns and roti pratha to share. The khao soi was my favorite with a rice brown and tender chicken. I do wish the broth had more spice and a stronger punch but the flavor was good overall. The vermicelli noodles were served in a steel bowl and not a clay pot which was a bit confusing but the noodles themselves were yummy and comforting with familiar southeast asian flavors. The prawns on the other hand were bland and overcooked. They were a nice size but treated really poorly. The roti didn't come until were pretty much done with our dishes which was odd. We almost forgot about it! The roti came out buttery but to the point it was pretty oily and oddly sweet. It also lacked the flakiness of a good roti and didn't have noticable layers. All in all - it's a nice environment for sure and it's rare to see elevated Thai food in Mexico but the food is really a 3.5. I would give it a 4 overall including the great ambiance and nice service.

Beautiful and flavorful mango with sticky rice, colors blew us away.

My review is based on the three dishes I ordered: spring rolls, chicken satay, and pho. The spring rolls were probably the best thing I had. Tasted how you would expect. However, the peanut sauce that had accompanied them was overly sweet. 3.5/5 The satay was RAW. Ate only one full satay skewer because I couldn't eat the rest. 1/5 The most disappointing dish was the pho. The broth lacked depth in flavor and any fragrance characteristic of pho. It was almost as if they didn't try. The portion of noodles was quite small; I finished the noodles in about three bites. The broth is traditionally poured scalding hot over raw meat but instead, it was warm and it took a while for the meat to cook. 1.5/5 Do not recommend. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the waiter was friendly.

Probably the worse pho I ever had, but probably one of the best in DF. If you're looking for authenticity this isn't the place...but you probably won't find it in all of DF. It's kinda like looking for authentic tacos in Vietnam. The restaurant itself is small and has a hole-in-the-wall charming feel. It's off the main drag so you can escape the bar crowed and duck in for a drink or two. Price wise this place is pretty expensive, even for La Condesa standards. So if you're stomach was hurting from street tacos and you want soup, it's 11:30pm and the ramen bars are closed...then give them a try. Otherwise skip.
