I put enough quarters for 90 min expecting to leave w at least 60 min still on the meter. Go into the building, and up to the 14th floor. Right off the bat as soon as I get there, I had to pay $100. Definitely don't like to pay for a service before I receive it but whatever, this lawyer was recommended by a family friend. Appt is at 2:00p, and made with the Son Sekula. After sitting in a room for 20 min, a receptionist comes in and asks us a bunch of questions "to give the lawyer a better idea of the case". I hand her my documents, yet I had this feeling she didn't know what she was looking at. After all, I wanted a professional set of eyes to look at my case, not some college student. 5 min later and me and my family are alone in the room again. It wasn't until 2:55p that I was fed up enough to walk to the receptionist desk (hoping to ask for my $100 back). Just then my wife talked me down, and told me to wait 5 more minutes. Exactly 2 min later, the father Sekula walks in (probably because they heard me livid) and proceeds to talk to us for about 25 min. While I didn't appreciate just about the whole experience, I appreciated his honesty to my questions. So for the service, 3-stars. I get parking was out of their hands, but waiting for 55 min without being seen by a professional, in the middle of a workday when 4 people were taking time out of their work schedules to be seen was ridiculous. By the time I got to my car, the meter had expired. No ticket, thankfully. I absolutely do relate to some reviews about getting the sense that I was just another paycheck at that office, rather than a person.

My main reason for hiring a lawyer was to fight for the sole custody of my child. Upon hiring, we had an agreement he would represent me to obtain sole custody. In the many hearings we had to attend, he wanted to settle in court for joint custody without speaking to me about it. He pretty much just wanted to be done with my case without making much effort to win. I prepared an outline of valid reasons why I should get sole custody and main points to be brought up in court. I basically was my own lawyer at that point and gave him the information to work with and for. This guy still wasn't trying to be on my side and defend me in court. This was unbelievable even though this is something that was agreed upon hiring. It was a waste of money, in my opinion hiring this lawyer. He showed up to be unresponsive, lazy and disrespectful towards clientele. I highly would not recommend him. Before hiring a lawyer, make sure the guy wants to work for you.

In 2021 I hired this attorney on a contingency basis to represent a civil claim against the state…read moreof New Jersey for violation of my human rights. This attorney initially filed a broad case which was to encompass all parties who were responsible for the torture which I endured. However the attorney made some serious errors in his broadscope filing which forced a portion of the case to be lost leaving only wrong doing conducted by some. Despite these errors and my repeated pleas for him to act upon my case he failed to do any work on the file until late 2024. This resulted in one of my witnesses dying without being deposed or getting us wrong statement from them. I have one remaining witness for which this attorney still has not gotten a sworn statement to this day as far as I know. I say as far as I know because this attorney has refused to communicate with me for many many months up until a letter I received in mid-January telling me what he felt like telling me regarding my case but not realizing that the date of his letter was already past the date of the filing deadlines for the submission of important evidence. If it wasn't for another attorney reviewing the case due to this attorney's non-communication I would not have found out about this error. This attorney then scrambled to get the filing deadline extended but at the same time has made clear that he has quit my case and if I communicate with him again he will have me charged with a crime. You will not give up the case to another attorney for any reasonable share of the fee and he will not account for his time which has caused the case to lose valuable remaining time. This attorney is the most unethical person in my opinion that I have ever met who holds the title of officer of the Court. I urge you to look up my Google review of this attorney. I will attempt to attach photos of his deplorable communications to this review. It is already posted on Google. The attached letter is dated January 15th 5 months after this attorney has broken off communication with me and 6 days past the filing deadline for the experts he described needing in this email. Additionally I signed the contingency fee agreement with this attorney were costs would be deducted from the award and this attorney is demanding tens of thousands of dollars from me in order to proceed with the case. In my opinion you need to look elsewhere for a more competent attorney who cares about you and your outcome.

He successfully maneuvered and distorted our rules to ensure the current board could stay in power with convoluted legal reasoning that would make any lawyer proud! The way he shut down debate on that one and made sure no one could question his reasoning? Masterful! That was some spectacular lawyering! Please, hire him, with a big contract! He will certainly do all he can to keep your board members in place and do all he can to ensure that any board members who try to make things better are run off the board. He's really great at that! You won't find a better lawyer! He may even help you rig a board election! And, no way will anyone suspect a thing. No siree! Not with Jeff! He's the best lawyer you will find. I'm not saying he rigged one of our elections, because if he had, no one would be the wiser, and I certainly am not wise at all. I'm just sure he could, if that's what you need.
