I had Maris replace 2 of my windows that really needed it. I did NOT want to replace all the windows at that time. I actually had a sales guy named Adam like a previous negative reviewer here. In fact, my deal was signed the day after their review 3/7/19 (I read this for the first time today). My sales meeting with Adam was pretty low-key/casual and no hard-sell tactic was used, which I appreciated very much. I absolutely hate long-winded BS and hard-sell tactics especially when I know what I want and am not looking to spend a lot. I explained my situation to him and he was very understanding. Adam worked with me to get me a deal to fit my problem, not one that would maximize his sales pushing more work and cost than I wanted. It was the easiest home remodel deal I think I have ever made. Then later their construction guy came and did the work without any issue, putting in a custom double-window. I do like these windows, and they are working just fine a year and half later, and am glad I got them changed! In fact I was just thinking recently about how this deal was so easy and how the sales guy was so cool last year. We had talked how I had a folder of info for the windows to give to a new owner if I sold the house, in case they wanted to get the other windows swapped out to match, but now I am thinking of hitting Maris up again for those other windows. We met with Karen and she went over several different options (configurations, materials, etc.) and price points to tear down and replace our existing deck that had started rotting. Previously, we didn't have stairs and we knew we wanted them with the rebuild so she was also patient enough to give us the breakdown on those options--with and without--to see if it made the cost easier to swallow. At the end of the day, we got a larger, maintenance free deck, with stairs for the same price a competitor was going to charge us for a smaller wooden deck with no stairs. There's no doubt Karen's an excellent saleswoman and knows what she's doing and how to work a customer, but not in the awful ways sales people are stereotypically known for. Her patience, multiple options within what we could afford, and ability to explain the product features and attention to detail Maris offers in how THEY build decks is what sold us. The build went incredibly well and were thrilled with the look and quality of our new deck! We had some issues with a scratch board here and there during the build and Maris replaced them without ANY grief on our end. Just stellar service from start to finish. read more

We are so happy with our new windows. So much easier to open and close. easy to clean from the inside. No more frosting up when it gets cold outside. job was done on a good time setting and clean up was great. Our old windows were about 20-25 years old and for the pass several winters when it got cold out they would Frost up on the inside, no longer have that! some were starting to get hard to open. Just was a good time to do some updating of windows and we got several bids, so it wasn't just them coming to try and sell to us. They were all pretty competative, but they seemed more honest and showed us different selections. So anyone needing new windows --- please check them out, best deal and done in good timing, very nice man doing the work and kept us updated with any problems. We weren't going to replace our garage window, but he showed us where we had a lot of damage from weather and being eaten away from the dampness and mold starting up, so we went ahead and order that window. I used Maris Home Improvements for two projects. First, they replaced an existing deck with a new one. They were very professional and provided an estimate and then a quality beautiful deck. The supervisor Paul did a great job answering questions and keeping me informed about the progress until the project was finished . Secondly, a different group within Maris provided me with an estimate to replace my 25 year old basement sliding glass door. They came out, took all of the measurements and within 2 weeks the door was ready for install. Two guys delivered the door and surprisingly one guy did the entire install in one afternoon. The installer really did a fantastic job...took his time and paid attention to every detail like the trim and caulking. Fantastic job guys...very satisfied! read more

We needed two new windows because the ones we had allowed cold air in and both rooms were too hot in the summer. I shopped around and met with three window companies. Maris showed up on time for our meeting and gave a very good, no pressure presentation on their windows. Their quote was not the lowest nor the highest. I decided on Maris because their presentation showed quantity construction as well as the ability to filter out actual heat from the summer sun. The windows and installer showed up on the promised day and both windows were installed very meticulously. This installer only installs Maris windows so no wonder it went so smoothly. Loved working with Maris from beginning to end. I reached out to them after reading great reviews. They came out and gave us a free estimate for a vinyl fence and didn't use any of the typical sales tactics to get us to give them money right away. They were extremely respectful in allowing us time to make a decision. They were not the cheapest company we obtained quotes from, but it was worth every penny! When it came to obtaining permits, they handled it all... we never lifted a finger. Once we received all necessary approvals, they came out and had our fence up in no time and it looks beautiful! Spring 2020 - We desperately needed a deck to replace one that was falling apart. Maris was quick to respond to all questions, familiar with the product I wanted to use (Deckorators), and did everything needed (permits, etc). Everyone that I talked to at Maris was so nice. Maris installed a deck on the back of our house. They used materials that are low/no maintenance. All the corners and seams are tight. There is no rattle or wiggle going up and down the steps or when grabbing the rails. The workmen were very professional and cleaned up completely when finished. If I had questions about why they were doing something a certain way they explained in a way a lay person could understand. I am pretty sure they have done this many times. We added a couple of chairs and a table with a little fire pit in the center and use the deck year round. I recommend Maris without hesitation. read more

We got several estimates for our privacy fence before we chose Maris. I did research ahead of time and had an amount I was willing to pay. Brandon was very polite and gave us an estimate UNDER my amount. Then offered us several discounts. The work was done in less than a day and looks beautiful. They called repeatedly to check on the condition of the fence and when I mentioned one of the post holes had sunken a little someone came out the next day to fill it. From the initial visit to give us a quote on our new fence to the finished product, Maris was FANTASTIC! The representative even suggested options that we never thought of that saved us extra money. We had a bit of an issue with one of our neighbors with regard to the fence location. I had Maris Home Improvements replace a rotting deck. They did an excellent job. The quality of the work was very good. I am very pleased with result. I had calculated what the job might cost to do it myself. Their bid was a fair price. It was the lowest bid of the three bids I received. Demolition of the old deck and rebuild took about 2.5 days. The dumpster was on my driveway for 6-7 days because my job stretched across a weekend: it came on a Thursday and was picked up the following Tuesday or Wednesday. I cannot believe the beauty of the finished products. From breaking the concrete flooring, making one huge bathroom into two gorgeous bathrooms. The one has a roll in shower for my husband with his w/c. They even enlarged and hung a new 6 panel wooden door for a w/c when needed. Our children are delighted with the end product. We are so happy with the fence and gate we got. We have two very large puppies that needed a fence.I called and that weekend Brandon showed up and we picked the fence we wanted and then. One day the supply's showed up at our house, then 3 men showed up and in 2 days I had a beautiful white privacy fence for my dogs and great grand children to run safely in. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and brought samples and information of proposed deck remodel which is more than a previous construction company I interviewed had done. The construction was done in appropriate time and the construction crew was excellent. 2 inspectors had to come as is the standard procedure now a days and there were no problems. We are thrilled with the outcome of the white vinyl fence design for our yard. We only have a fence along the top of the yard and 8' down both sides opening out at an angle. This provides the perfect accent for our hillside garden and waterfall. We receive many compliments on the work and the beauty of our yard. They were very professional and respectful from the beginning. They were honest and up front and I feel that I will have a deck that will last for a very long time. we had our bathroom remodeled for wheelchair use. now that the remodel is done , the bathroom is great for helping husband roll into shower. their were some issues, but maris was great about getting back out here to correct things all it took was a phone call didnt have too chance them down. jason and kevin corrected the problems and they were great . cindy p read more
