This place is super cozy with the kitchen right there when you walk in. So, it made the dining room REALLY warm the night we were there. Granted, it was in the heat of the summer and a hot/muggy day, but it is worth noting. The service was amazing! They take very good care of you when you are dining in. The food was good, but not great. I thought the red sauce was a little off and not super rich in flavor. The salad was just run of the mill iceberg lettuce so nothing special. The house dressing tasted pretty good, but I had to add some of their parmesan cheese to help spruce up the salad. The garlic bread was tasty but overall the meal was a bit of a bust sadly. This is my first stop of my two week adventure in Perryville, Missouri. This place is a cute little hidden gem that only has about 10 tables. While I was waiting for my to-go order, multiple people came in to pick up orders and the restaurant was pretty busy! The staff was very friendly and seemed happy to be there. Everyones food came out quick and looked amazing! Next time I definitely want to try a pasta. I ordered a pizza with mushrooms, peppers, and black olives. I'm not normally a thin crust lover but this was a great pizza!! The sauce is delicious and the toppings were all fresh. Super easy and very satisfying dinner. read more

Host was super accommodating when he saw my little guy put his arms in his sleeves because he was cold, he offered to turn the a/c down! Our food was amazing and the prices are extremely affordable. I love this place, it's worth every penny. You ask for a 3 cheese calzone they give you loads of cheese, They don't skimp on the food. My favorite part of ordering here are the breadsticks, they're to die for. 5 huge cheese filled bread sticks and a cup of marinara with cheese on top. $6.99. Normally go to some other places in Perryville. One place we were going to try, ovens were out. I am glad that redirected us to Galati's. Fantastic pizza and a refreshing salad before the pizza. Been there twice. Both times we were asked to leave because they were closing soon before we ever ordered. They were extremely rude and I wouldn't go back on a bet. The second time I mentioned their website stated they were open another hour and a half they snapped at me and said they dont update that, I should look at the door. My mother-in-law and I both had the "Mama's Trio," and it was delicious!!! We got to try 3 of their bests in one dish....lasagna, fettuccini Alfredo, and meat tortellini. Adorable Italian restaurant. You'll find Sal there The majority of the time at least three out of the four times I've been there. He told us some pretty interesting story is from the old country. Funny guy. First night we went I had the trio and would say I'm not much for red sauce but the lasagna was delicious. Every other time I've been there I have gotten their pizza which has always been an light crackery crust with a perfect amount of sauce and a real cheese. This is the same restaurant as Galati's Italian Restaurant listed separately on Yelp. I'm a local in Perryville and this place is awesome. Owned by Salvatore (Sal) Galati, who is from Italy and has been in Perryville running this restaurant for over 10 years. He is very friendly and the restaurant is small, but the waitstaff is very friendly and the food is great. Their pizzas are the best part. The Super Deluxe and the Bella Montagna pizzas are our favorites. They also have delicious Chicken Parmesan and meatballs. Try the house salad with balsamic vinegrette, it's all house-made and delicious. They have a lunch buffet most days which is served on paper plates and the food is more basic. Not bad for a quick workday lunch but if you want the good stuff, go for dinner and order off the menu. Only complaint is the lack of a desert menu. Also, you may want to avoid the restaurant on Sundays and it's closed Mondays. Sal doesn't work on Sundays and the backup crew just isn't the same. Although the food is fine. This is by far the best restaurant in Perryville, with Tractors in second place. Galati's is a bit expensive on their pizzas with a large specialty Super Deluxe coming in at $17.99. But it serves 3-4 people so if you share it's not bad. Overall the best of the best in Perryville. read more

Would have given a 2.5, but decided to round down. Galati's looks decent on the inside, a little dirty but well decorated with a nice atmosphere. Just about as good as you can expect in a town like Perryville. I ordered some bruschetta, which while decent wasn't the best I've had by a long shot. Bread wasn't crispy and the tomato's weren't very ripe or tasty, though I'll give a pass on this because I ate here in March. I also got a 12" hand-tossed pizza, ordered with anchovies and Provel cheese. I was quite excited to see Provel on the menu, as it is so excellent on the pizza made by the local favorite pizza chain Imo's. I was very disappointing with the pizza when it arrived. It was slightly underdone. Instead of a whole pie covered in succulent, divine Provel the thing was mostly fashioned with mozzarella with a tiny sprinkling of melted Provel on top. LAME. Not cool at all Galati's. The pizza also had about a half dozen tiny anchovie pieces spread far and wide that tasted very fishy and off, like a cheap low quality brand would. The service consisted of one poor overworked gal who had to rush about table to table. She seemed quite stressed out and I felt sorry for her. She did not offer to get me another beer even though I saw her look at my empty bottle and glass several times. Galati's needs to hire an extra hand or two. All in all, Galati's probably serves the best pizza in Perryville which isn't saying much. Head up I55 to St. Louis if you want something truly good. Not a terrible restaurant, they just need to work on their service and food. read more
