I had our pool deck and patio coated by Galaxy 3 years ago. About a year ago I notices that the top coating was not holding up and eventually the coating started flaking off the cement in places. We have a 15 year warranty, so I was surprised that there were obvious defects this early. I called Galaxy and was directed to Nick. I played phone tag with him for about a week. When we connected by phone, Nick set up an appointment to come and look at our concerns. Surprisingly, Nick agreed there was a problem with the UV layer/topcoat. He advised me that they should take full responsibility and replace the entire pool decking and patio coating based on his assessment. He noted that the chemical company had to change the composition of the topcoat to withstand the Arizona sun. Nick submitted the warranty work and it was approved in about a week. Nick schedules a time/date to perform the work. I am once again very happy with the results. If you decide to use Galaxy ask for Jorge's crew. The job was scheduled for 2 days. Jorge and two other gentlemen got to work and knocked it out in 1 day. It was easy to see that Jorge was very detailed and did not cut corners with the quality of work. The pool was left very clean and they vacuumed my turf and even the landscape rock around the pool. The reason we initially decided to use Galaxy was because we had a lackluster pool contractor that didn't cure our concrete properly and it cracked immediately. Approximately 50% of the pool deck concrete was replaced by order of the ROC. The other 50% was not replaced because the cracking did not fall outside the quality guidelines. Galaxy treated the cracks and filled them to improve the longterm appearance of the pool deck. I am not delusional to believe that the cracks will not eventually return, but I appreciate the process of "repairing" them. The Galaxy coating is unbelievably cool on the feet compared to just about any other surface I have encountered. We researched pavers, travertine, Kool deck, and several others before going with Galaxy. Although Galaxy is not the most reasonable or most expensive, I see the value in their product. I will have to see how the new coating withstands the Arizona summers, but for now, I am very satisfied. read more

Update: Wild, anyone from Galaxy cannot/will not return an email or a phone call but replied immediately to my BBB review blatantly lying saying the masking was done perfectly. Really? It can clearly be see in my photos the red masking tape they used pulled away from the pool wall not creating a proper seal and allowing their product to stain the pool pebble. This is by far the most unethical and unprofessional business I have ever dealt with and that's saying something when you've had a landscaping contractor literally steal your money, skip town and not show up for work. At least he was just a crook. Not a crook and a blatant liar. I've now spent the money for a terrible product that is failing once again in other areas of the patio to not only on top of that, have a their poor work ruin the great work by our pool renovation company that did an exceptional job. I recommend reviewing this company's Yelp reviews, especially the 1-star reviews. The Google reviews do not appear to be legitimate.. I helped hire Galaxy to install an epoxy floor in a 1,100 sq ft space, paying about $13,000 for the project. This was roughly $5,000-$7,000 more than other quotes we received, but we chose them based on the premium product and process their salesman presented. Early on, the crew attempted to skip the grinding step and coat directly over the previous base. This only changed after we questioned it and asked them to grind the floor as originally discussed. Their vacuum equipment also did not seem to function properly. Dust piles were left behind that we ended up sweeping ourselves, and there was no acetone wipe performed before coating-even though dust was everywhere. From what we've seen, other Penntek contractors typically emphasize that step as part of proper preparation. The grinding process also created a significant amount of dust throughout the building. We had to purchase fans and provide masks for staff just to keep the environment manageable. Overall, it felt far less controlled than what we expected from a company promoting a premium system. The installation was also much longer than anticipated. What was originally presented as a 1-2 day project ended up taking about six days, which caused disruption to the business. Within two weeks of completion, we have already noticed a delamination chip, areas where the topcoat appears thin, and spots where flakes are missing. The warranty we received is one year for labor and five years for materials, which did not match the impression we were given during the sales process. UPDATE: After the original issues I've had with the product and service, one of their agents came to inspect the work and scheduled someone to come back a week after to remedy the situation. They had to grind several areas where there was bubbling and uneven surface areas. That did leave a lot of dust and went all the way inside my adjacent storage area. I'm generally pleased with the product and the way it looks. It is easy to clean with a broom or if it gets hosed down. It can get slick when it's wet. This would have scored a 5 star rating if it weren't for the fact that they had to come back twice to get it done right after I've given them ample time to do it and left plenty of debris and there were some lapses in communication (customer service was sometimes difficult to get a hold off). read more

Our original concrete coating was completed on August 18, 2021. There were some places that had failed. We called and they came out and decided to replace the entire patio. There were a few minor timing glitches, however, it was completed July 18, 2025. Armando and his crew went above and beyond to get it completed. The replaced decking looks better than the original. Had service completed on driveway, garage and patio. It all appeared nice though you can't walk on it for a day or two so did not spot an area that needed repair (handicap ramp in garage). Update to my previous review. Carlos from Galaxy reached out to me and we met again to talk through the issues. He had a crew come back out and fix the issues with the hot tub and worked on the feet of the armoire so they should work properly again. They also removed some areas that had rust spots from a hammock we had on the patio. I so appreciate that Carlos made the effort to hear me out and get the guys out to fix the issues so quickly after our conversation. I hope the owners/management sees this updated review and they take note on the extra time and effort Carlos put into this job to make things right. Obviously not all issues could be addressed (the cleanup, the repainting of the base of our walls, etc.) but am pleased with what Carlos was able to make happen. read more

PSA: To all my friends here in AZ. if you should need any concrete coating done do not go with: Galaxy Concrete. #1 very expensive $6k #2 it's hot as hell in your feet so they provided me carpet so I can at least walk to my pool #3 they said they replaced my plastic strips and now they curl up. they will not come out and fix them. they say it's not their product so i need to contact someone else to fix what they chose to do. But when I went out and looked closely to them I pulled one up (because they just put them in top of the old ones because when they did the concrete they messed them up. you can see in the photos below Plus they told me it was okay that I didn't drain my pool half way because we have pebble tech and it was 110. outside DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND HARD EARNED MONEY. I have a Townhouse in Old Town and was considering doing pavers , tile or stamped concrete for the rear patio. The existing concrete was painted and had some cracks. I was concerned with respect to the repair of the cracks (afraid they may reappear ) They gave me a warrantee on the crack repair. The finish was beautiful it was easy to clean, and not slippery. Unfortunately after 2 years a crack developed in the finish. I called them up and they sent a project manager who told me they would take care of it. I got a phone call a few days later and set up a repair date. They repaired the crack and installed expansion joints to prevent further cracks. Very please with the job and the company. My disappointment came right after. My dog was slipping on it. She likes to jump in from the side. I called them back right away. They came out and gave me an estimate to add an add'l coating for another $900. Considering I was told it was appropriate for around pools I don't think I should be charged. There are many areas that were missed and they needed to come back and they left the yard in the pool and a mess with deck dust all over the place. It took them a week to call me back and set an appointment. So they came out on a Sunday at 12:30 and spent two hours and redid the deck some of the deck. After three days we inspected it again and it still has areas that some of the coding is sticking up. They miss some areas and I've been calling them now for a week and they have not returned my call , it really amazes me that they have on their website that they're a number one priority is customer service because they have given me the worst customer service I've ever had. I do not recommend this company. I think the job they did was not well done and lifetime guarantee it may not even last. One year. I've been calling him almost every day to get them to call me back and tell me when they could come fix the areas that need to be fixed and so far, no calls. you mean need to be very careful before you hire this company. I wish we would have done our homework before using this company. Overpriced, lacking communication skills, no consideration to the fact we have 4 dogs that need to pee, and messy as hell. They covered our pool in plastic to do prep work, and left it overnight. I had to let one of the dogs out because he was starting to vomit, and he fell in the plastic covered pool. If I would not have been watching he could have drowned. I called to express my concern for the fact we were not told about the plastic being left overnight, I got the brush off! My dog could have died, and they don't give a $hit!!! They don't have any compassion obviously! The worksite was left a mess, and they don't cover anything. Dust, and flake is all over our property and in our pool. My husband, and I have been cleaning their mess for the past couple of day's and there is more to do!!!
