Had one of the worst experiences with my tattoo here. First I live a few hours from here and don't mind traveling for quality work. My first appointment went well (he was 30 mins to an hr late, I let it slide) and it was mostly touch-up on my tattoo that I already had & wanted to add more work on. We scheduled another appointment and he bailed on me. Told me to come in around 1pm (Nov 18th) then pushed it to 3-4pm and wasted my time, then cancelled the appointment all together around 5:40pm after I had driven 2hrs to get there. Set up another appointment just to get it finished for 2pm on the 8th of January and then messaged me at 6am the day of appointment asked to push it to 8pm. I'd let it go but some of this artists behavior is inexcusable not only with bailing on me but also because on the 5th of January he messaged me inappropriate things that I'll include in my post. This is yet another reason why I will never let another male tattoo artist touch me or ink me ever again. I was sexually harassed by a male artist before & again by this one. Never again. read more

Went to galaxy for their Friday the 13th sale they had going. Had Adrian as the artist. Everything seemed ok until I got home and noticed that the eye on my tattoo wasn't fully colored as it should be. Now Adrian is currently an apprentice so I figured she's still learning no big deal. I reached out to her and was appalled by her response. This is something that is on my body for the rest of my life and for her to say that it's minuscule and basically not worth her time is ridiculous. Be careful going there. read more

New owners! They've totally revamped this studio and have some amazing artists here. It's very professional, yet laid back enough you can relax and enjoy the experience. It's super clean and they are so tedious with making sure everything is sterile for you before they begin. All of the girls there were super friendly and knowledgeable. How awkward would it be if you were to get a tattoo at a place where they were rude and made you uncomfortable for the couple hours you sat? Not an issue here. Seriously, every employee there (and the owner) were polite. Asked if I wanted a drink, made sure I was comfortable, etc. That speaks volumes alone, just for customer service. Accompanying that... the quality of their work speaks for themselves. I took my time finding a neo traditional tattoo artist. Mystyk was great. She did not judge me, was quick to respond, and made the most beautiful tattoo of just a general idea of what I wanted given to her. It's not everyone's cup of tea, understandably, but she rocked it. Seriously... I was like "Oh hey here's a picture of my dog, I wanted a portrait in your style" and she whipped up this awesome piece of art and asked if it would work. My jaw dropped, it was awesome. I'm not saying she can read minds, but it's a possibility. (Mind reading capabilities not included, I'm no expert though) Star was there, she's the owner, and had a customer come in for an appointment. The tattoo produced was mirror image of what was drawn up. The woman she did it on seemed super pleased, too! The tattoo was awesome. May did a tattoo, as well. It was a walk in, and the guy who got it done couldn't stop smiling from ear to ear when she was finished with his tattoo. There's someone for different styles. I thought that was pretty cool. I'm basing this review on my other encounters with tattoo shops. I've been to several and have had my ribs, hips, stomach, neck, chest, shoulders, etc done. I've also had plenty removed or covered up over the years. I can't stress enough how important it is to find a shop and artist that can make this a good experience- especially if you haven't had a tattoo yet. Other places I've had some artists that were cool but didn't do the best work, one that did good work but was a huge creep, etc. Or... I mean, sure you could go to in an alley and get a tattoo in a corner by someone you don't know who's super weird. Maybe they would do good work. But... wouldn't you want to go somewhere better that that? Might as well try this place since they check all the boxes. read more

I've been a loyal customer to Galaxy for a year and a half now. I've gotten 6 tattoos by a variety of artists (Star, Seven, and a couple of artists who no longer work there). The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home while getting tatted. Every piece I've gotten is beautiful and I always get compliments when I'm in public. I have gone there a couple times for piercings and every time they come out bad. I only went back because it's close to me and the staff was kind, but my most recent experience ensured that I will never be returning. I first went because I heard about this place through a friend that wanted to get a tattoo there. She went and got her tattoo and her nipples pierced and a day later I got my nostril pierced. Fast forward a couple weeks, her tattoo had become blurry and just looked bad, her nipple piercings were done so poorly she had to take them out a few days later, and my nostril had swollen so bad I was embarrassed to be seen in public. We both had taken proper care of our new body mods and they still caused problems. Theres not much she can do about her botched tattoo but after changing the jewellery in my nose, the swelling went down to reveal the awkward angle it had been pierced at that makes it insanely hard to get any jewellery in it, even when I went to an experienced piercer for help. A few months pass and I decide to give it another chance, after all, it's close and the staff were nice the first time I went, unlike most other local piercing places I have gone to. I bring another friend this time and after being told they won't do the rook piercing we had wanted, we settle for some cartilage piercings. We fill out the paperwork and wait and wait and wait. Finally someone decides to call us back. I wanted three cartilage piercings and I showed the piercer many reference photos of where I wanted them. They informed me they only had large curved barbells (not great for the piercings I was getting, they ended up getting tangled in my hair and on each other) and placed the dots nowhere near to what I had showed them. It was a back and forth of telling them where I would like the dots before I finally gave up and let them put the dots where they wanted them. I have had many piercings before this and I know I am not a bleeder. I know what not to consume before getting pierced and I made sure to follow that. When this person pierced the first hole, my ear started gushing blood. The torrent of blood continued with the next two piercings. When it was done I was left three unevenly spaced piercings and a river of blood running down my neck and staining my shirt. My friends one piercing goes fast though it isn't where she wanted it either, and we're on our way. A few days after, she has to change the jewellery because she has a terrible reaction. The top and bottom ones of mine healed pretty good, though they did take some time to heal, but the middle one swelled up so large I could barely keep a post in it. All in all, do not get anything done here. The tattoos are poorly done and the piercings are no good either. If you do get pierced, I recommend changing the jewellery right after because neither me nor my friends are sensitive to any metals that we know of and we were surprised to have all reacted so poorly to whatever they're using as jewellery. I spent so much money on these piercings and I honestly regret not going someplace else. If I could give them zero stars I would. read more

Great environment. They rearranged the layout of the studio and now have more room for more artist! Mystyk did a portrait of my dog and I couldn't be happier with the results. This is the second tattoo she has done. The first she did for me was a paw print. Will definitely go back! read more
