I took my 8 & 11 year old granddaughters for a walkabout in nearby state game area. (less than 5…read moremiles from their office.) When we got back to the truck, I realized that the keys were still in the ignition. Its 20 some degrees outside. I called Price Towing at 251pm and described the situation about the cold and the kids and was told that someone would be there in 35-45 minutes. He did not arrive until 416pm and that's 85 minutes later! In between times I made 5 follow-up calls to them and 3 of them went unanswered. The young man shows up in a older unmarked car, he had some difficulty unlocking my truck and made a 3 inch tear in the rubber weatherstripping in that process. This company is not professional and should be avoided. Other wrecker services will do a much better and quicker job.

I recently developed a transmission leak on my 98 Jeep Wrangler. After getting my 60 year old butt…read moreunderneath her to investigate, I discovered what appeared to be a leaking gasket on the tranny's pan and the majority of it was blocked by the skid plate just below it. I decided I was not going to attempt all this without a hoist so decided to take it to a transmission shop and eventually decided on Price. Good reviews, simple repair, what could go wrong. After this shop had it for several days, I was called by Tammy with a list of things that needed attention. The pan gasket did in fact need replacing along with the seal on the shifter. I was also told that my steering arm needed replacing and one of my brake lines was very close to failing. I told her to get the work done and after getting it back noticed immediately that i was still getting tranny fluid on my garage floor. I was told by Tammy that I could expect some residual fluid so after several weeks of continuous leaking, I decided to take it back and have Price take another look. I got it back after a few days and was told that some of the bolts needed tightening and was assured by Tammy that there would be no more leaks. Unfortunately it again continued to leak. I then decided to take it to Smitty's in Vassar area and was informed first that the skid plate had never even been removed because all but one bolt were seized to the frame and the one bolt that remained was recently broken off, probably by a Price mechanic. Also because the bolts to the pan had been overly tightened, the pan was now unable to seat properly and would now need replacing. The shifter seal also appeared to have never been replaced. After getting the jeep back, i then went back to Price and asked for a partial refund on the improper repair that had been done. Tammy told me that she would need to discuss with the owner about my request and would get back to me on it. After a week without any call, i called and spoke with Tammy and was told that the owner, a Justin Price, refused to refund me anything. So I am writing this long drawn out review in hopes that someone else who might be considering taking your vehicle to this establishment, might want to think twice. I wish that Price had at least called me about the seized bolts on the skid plate instead of half assing the gasket replacement and I wouldn't have come to this. Update: the owner, Mr. Price contacted me and tried to figure out exactly what went wrong. Seems there was some miscommunication and after verifying my story here, he promptly refunded my money that had been put towards the gasket repair and seal replacement. Thanks Justin.
