I do not recommend this law firm. They claim they handle all types of cases, which in my experience is simply not true. I hired them for a civil matter and a domestic abuse-related case. From the beginning, they charged me $30,000 upfront, which I paid in cash, assuring me they would take on the case. Weeks went by with no action at all. After one week, nothing. After two weeks, still nothing. When I started calling to ask for updates, every single call was billed. Even waiting on hold to speak with an attorney was charged as billable time, as if I were actively consulting with them. On some occasions, I was kept waiting for up to two hours, and later received invoices charging me simply for being on the phone. In the end, they never handled all the cases they promised. Only one case moved forward, and the attorney assigned to me did not even know my name on the day of the hearing. The way clients are treated while payments are being taken is completely different from how they are treated once concerns or complaints are raised. This was an extremely disappointing and costly experience. I would not recommend this firm to anyone read more

My experience with this law firm has been a nightmare. I had a consultation with them a year and a half ago to seek legal counsel in opening up a unique kind of business. They could have told me they were not experienced with this type of business, but instead they assured me they could definitely help me, required I pay a $3,500 fee upfront for 10 hours of their time, and pressured me into retaining them with the use of a $100 consultation fee if I chose not to. Then, they assigned my case to a rookie lawyer who had no business dealing with a case like this. After walking out that first day, I did not hear back from them for 5 months. Finally, I was called in to talk with a different attorney regarding my case. Apparently they reassigned my case and the attorney whom I spoke with that day had more questions than she had answers, and it then became clear to me that she was in way over her head in a case that should never have been assigned to her. None of my questions which I paid to have answered were acknowledged, and my time and money was completely wasted by a firm that should have never accepted this case to begin with. After that meeting I literally never heard from anyone again. This is what I paid $3,500 for? I originally walked in to and retained The Gallardo Law Firm with the intent of being provided with knowledge and answers to questions as to how to pursue the legality of a business I was trying to create, but due to the firm's incompetence and lack of communication I got nowhere. At this point I had concluded that I was dealing with a predatory and unethical firm, so a couple months ago I decided to call them to ask for a refund. They told me they would review my file and call me back. Several days later, a lady named Lisandra called me from their billing department and explained to me that I was not entitled to any refund because the work I had paid for had been done. I obviously was disappointed but also busy, and did not get a chance to walk in to their office til today. I asked them for a copy of all pertinent documents to my case including the billing statement. They were able to promptly provide me with all those documents EXCEPT the billing statement. At this point I demanded that they provide me with this information as is my right and should have already been provided. They gave me the runaround and a bunch of excuses as to why they didn't have access to that information and how it would take a week to get it. This was very suspicious to me as it did not make any sense how they had access to everything except that billing statement. I threatened to call The Florida Bar, which I did right in front of them, and after some time a different lady took me to a conference room in the back to explain to me again why they couldn't give me the billing statement. Finally I left without the billing statement and wrote them a very long email explaining why I wanted my refund and how I was going to report them to The Florida Bar to seek reimbursement. ***PLEASE PAY PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THIS NEXT PART*** About an hour later I get a call from one of the ladies I had spoken to. She tells me that she somehow magically got access to my billing statement and that there is A POSITIVE BALANCE OF OVER $1,000!!!!!!!!! This law firm not only failed to notify me that they owed me this money, but when I had contacted them a few months ago seeking reimbursement, the billing department representative Lisandra flat out LIED TO ME and said I was not entitled to any refund after reviewing my statement. The Florida Bar is going to have a field day with this. A law firm withholding funds from a client and even outright lying to them about it. If you've read this far, please do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM THE GALLARDO LAW FIRM. read more

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this law firm to anyone. I retained them to send a legal demand letter and possibly move forward into a civil lawsuit against a company. However, I did not get past the initial demand letter stage because they simply were not responsive or engaged. Unbeknownst to me, there were actually open legal cases against the company I was trying to sue, but this law firm failed to research or bring up any of those relevant details. For the entirety of my experience, I was the one who had to do all the legwork and heavy lifting. I had to constantly follow up with them just to get any kind of status update, as they never reached out to me proactively. I ended up having to conduct all the research and investigation for my own case myself. To make matters worse, they even had multiple glaring grammatical and formatting errors in the various drafts of the demand letter, which I then had to go in and fix myself. Ultimately, I felt like I was doing the work of a paralegal or junior attorney, while simply donating my money to this firm. Long story short, we arrived at the 11 am, appointment, weren't seen until 11:45 by the attorney, Jesus Novo. She started explaining her situation and in less than 3 minutes he said that there was nothing that could be done for her. I asked why did the person on the phone say yes? He stated that the paralegal did not know the law (which is strange because paralegals have to have some idea of the "law", being that they are "paralegals". My family and I had a terrible experience with the law firm. The treatment was very impersonal, the time they took to process and work through what we hired them for was unacceptable. Throughout the process we received very little feedback. Additionally, they charged us a large lump sum to which they stated that whatever amount was leftover after this initial service, could be used in the future to handle any other legal matters. When we returned to seek their services for a second time (due to having a supposed credit), they told us that the balance we had available was unable to be applied this second time around, because it was not related to the first case (something they failed to mention initially). Totally dissatisfied with the low level of professionalism demonstrated by the lawyers of the Gallardo Law Office. They do not deliver on their promise. They are only good at communicating with clients when they want to ask for "a little payment", the endearment term they use for asking clients for money. They bill you even for their mistakes. By the time your Court date arrives, you do not have any money left from the retainer fee they ask. They do not provide feedback about the case, they do not prepare you a day before your court appearance as they tell you before you contract their services. Furthermore, Gallardo Law Office sends a lawyer to represent you who is not knowledgeable about the case. At end, they resolve nothing and send you another invoice even though you stated in writing that you do not want to continue with their service. So the amount you supposedly owe, continues growing. I would never recommend this firm! Their performance is less than adequate.... very bad! Let me start with, I am only giving them a star because I cant give them none. Worst law experience ever. We went months ago to speak to them about my parents immigration case, we were told it was an easy case and that we had nothing to worry about. We paid our fees and waited for for a response. They never called us with any updates, we were the ones who had to contact them frequently. They would only call us for payments. Months passed and we kept waiting for any response. Until we received a letter from Homeland Security that our petition was denied. Now I'm not writing this because we didn't get the response we wanted. I'm writing this because of what happened after. We requested a few days ago a copy of our case files and payment receipts, we were told we were not going to receive anything until we made the pending payment. For a case that they had guaranteed a positive outcome, which didn't happen. Later they scheduled us to come in to retrieve the copies, after waiting 15 minutes the receptionist (who had a bad attitude) told me that the lawyer happened to be in court (which is what we were always told when we called to speak to her) and just happened to have taken our case files with her. And that the previous assistant who told had spoken to and scheduled the appointment was at lunch. We were then told that the attorney would be coming in at 3 pm and that we could come back again to pick it up. Talk about disrespect towards us the client, making us come back and forth, as if we didn't have a job we needed to be at. I called at 3 to see if she had come back in and was told that she wasn't in and that her assistance was at lunch. We then asked "wasn't she at lunch previous" and the very rude receptionist answered "she must be really hungry". Which is an uncalled for, disrespectful, and rude response to clients.
