All three appointments (initial try-on, alterations, final fitting) felt so private, peaceful, and special and Carla and the team were all so incredibly kind. I felt like a Barbie princess being so well taken care of as they went all around the room collecting dresses that fit my vision and my budget. I chose Dakota from Casablanca Bridal's Beloved line within one hour, I fell in love with it at the first appointment and will forever be in love with it. It was bittersweet picking up my dress because it meant no more appointments. On my wedding day, my flower girls came into the bridal suite and one of them said "You look like a princess!" which evoked INSTANT tears from one of my bridesmaids. Thank you Ann's Classic Affairs team for such a beautiful experience and being part of the exciting lead-up to our wedding day!!!

She made what I expected to be an overwhelming process so easy and exciting. She is someone who really understands the special moments of trying to find your wedding dress. Needless to say, I found my dress that day with Carla's guidance & didn't need to go looking further - and there was zero pressure to do so. With that, she took polaroids of "saying yes to the dress". Then I went home with a goodie filled with cute bridal gear & reminders of when/how to get your marriage license! It was a sweet touch. Now that I've found La Boutique I'm not going to waste my time trying Party City. Why buy a cheaply made costume when you can get an actual period piece for less. There's only a few parking spots in front of the store, but there's an adjacent parking lot to the left of the store with lots of space.

I was searching for a seamstress to make me some mens' shirts out of old silk saris. After discovering the reviews on Yelp, I contacted Lulu by e-mail and asked if she would be interested in taking on my project. I wanted 20-30 shirts made over a period of time and I stated I'd be using an old, worn-out silk shirt as the pattern. Lulu replied within a couple of days and said she would be delighted to take on my project. She said that doing mens' shirts would polish her skills. She did however warn me that it was bridal season and that Spring and Summer, her schedule was busy. I said no problem, just fit me in whenever you can. I was in no rush. Lulu makes me 3-4 shirts a month at a VERY reasonable rate and they are absolutely spectacular. Thank you Lulu. read more

Lulu is a wedding seamstress but when I needed a costume for Comic Con, Lulu made me and my boyfriend the coolest Star Trek outfits. She made the Uhura red dress and Kirk shirt from just a photo.
