I think she's just gotta ask if people are up for conversation during the massage. Lol but she had me and we just kept chatting and that was super sweet. As a black person, I didn't have any problems. I did have a micro aggressive comment about my hair... If it was "extensions". Weird but I let it go... Love the ladies there. Got a Groupon here (ultrasonic and massage), which I promised to myself to be the last Groupon I get, because of the general attitude of the businesses when you mention it. I am only getting these because I moved recently and I am trying to find new places for my personal grooming needs. It's something to pay half and try a place that normally costs more, but you may not want to go back... That's the Groupon for. Anyways, everyone here made a great first impression, they didn't make a "face" hearing about the voucher, have great phone manners, a warm voice, and a warm welcome when you get there. The prices are lower than in other places, you can have everything done here: mani, pedi, facial, massage, hair.... There are discounts for steady customers, and you feel pampered and respected. Used a Groupon deal for a 60 min Swedish massage and Ultrasonic facial formy birthday. I LOVED the massage, the therapist applied just the right pressure that the next day I feel totally relaxed and not in pain. I had an awful experience with a chair massage in college that I couldn't move the next day, the person went IN on me. Felt like I was broken in 2. I would go there again for the massage anytime. Disclosure, I've never had an ultrasonic facial so I may not truly know what's supposed to happen. I'm indifferent about it, the aesthetician didn't extract much...i still have alot of blackheads in the nose area. She also left some sort of mask on my face and it was coming off when I left. If I go again for a facial, I'll try a different option. My roommate DID say my skin looks great, like its glowing so it did make a difference. I loved the massage so much, its a well earned 4 stars! Avoid a facial with Kayla! I asked for an anti-aging moisturizing facial, which I have asked for at other places. I ended up with a burned face and peeling skin! it feels like sand paper and it is even drier than before. I never had so many gadgets used on my face during a facial in my life. She seemed to understand when I told her I had sensitive skin, but every product she used either tingled or outright stung my face. and the advertised price on their website is less than what I was charged. read more

I'm new to yelping and wanted to share my experiences at the Galleria. I have been a client of The Galleria for my hair for many years and love my hair stylist Helen. I highly recommend her expertise in color and she gives an excellent cut. This past weekend I decided to try an ultra sonic facial and massage and I was thrilled with the experience. I call it an experience because from start to finish every detail was expertly executed. The facial room was spotless, soothing, relaxing and inviting. My aesthetician Cindy explained the steps and then gave me a thorough and relaxing facial. I felt so pampered and cared for and my face felt soft on the surface yet firmer from the treatment. Next I had a massage from Cathi. Again the room was perfectly inviting with a warm table, calming music, dim lighting and soothing aromas. Since it was my first time with Cathi she asked me questions to learn about my needs. She offered suggestions of things I could try with my sore spots and she gave extra attention to those areas during the massage. Cathi was professional and caring and I completely enjoyed the massage. yesterday was a family spa day, and everyone loved their services! my mother and aunt both got manis, pedis, facials, and a shampoo and style; my sister in law got a mani/pedi, and I got the scalp dermabrasion and hair mask. The spa accommodated all of us at the same time, and the staff was welcoming, kind and knowledgeable. The rooms were all immaculate. The Galleria is as good as it gets, and more... I switched over after years of the same salon, and really not feeling great leaving. Nervous to switch, I was amazed at the job Jessica did on my hair. A great cut, style and foil, and she fixed the horrid color job I was receiving. My hair never looked or felt better! As far as my nails, Jacqui is a doll. I didn't have enough time to have my hair colored before leaving home for my son's wedding. I was in a minor panic and felt like a complete idiot for not planning my time better. Who doesn't go to their own trusted colorist before such an important occasion right? I called the Galleria and explained to them my predicament. I was calmed down by a confident voice who told me that they had a person who could do the job. She further explained that if I contacted my colorist and obtained the numbers and brand of color that I used that would be helpful but it wasn't absolutely necessary. Longer story made shorter, I got the numbers and brand and was booked with Chelsea. I have to say, this talented young lady did not disappoint. Not only did she match my color perfectly, the total time she took from start to finish was a little over an hour. In my world where there never seems to be enough time, this was worth gold. I was very grateful to her and the staff at Galleria for their understanding, professionalism and last but certainly not least, their efficiency. Chelsea is a gem and if I lived in the area she'd be my new 'go-to gal', but unfortunately I hope to never be in this situation again. read more

I found this spa through Groupon, so admittedly my expectations were low (I haven't had much luck with Groupon spa deals in the past), however this place blew me away. Not only was the facial and massage one of the best of each I've ever had (both technicians took their time, were conversational at all the right times, and were genuinely happy to be doing what they were doing) the place was also super easy to get to, clean, open, plenty of parking and the staff was wonderful. Always in search of a reputable salon/spa closer to home I decided to give Galleria a try for a lip/brow wax. The receptionist was unpleasant and inattentive. I waited ten minutes past my appointment time to be called in. The room was poorly lit and did not smell very good. The service was okay although when I got home and looked in the mirror I had to pluck my brows as she had missed a bunch. On the way out, the receptionist was just as dopey and unpleasant as on the way in. I will not return.... Guess I'll suck it up and keep going to Burlington - more expensive but you really do get what you pay for. read more

Worst haircut ever. I will never go back there. The place is looking a bit weathered, they must be having a difficult time getting quality stylists. Aggravates me most is having to take more time out of my schedule to go get my hair cut properly. Not to mention paying for it twice & then having to wait for it to grow out into the haircut I wanted. UGH. read more

i went to galleria to get my hair done and they assured me that they were experienced in color and highlight. my hair turned orange, and when i told them i was extremely unhappy they said they would not compensate me. this place sucks, don't waste your money. it should be all about customer service. they should have given me my money back . i know other people since my experience and they too had horrible experiences. read more
