This facility is so clean , sanitary and has so many different services you can choose from. I personally got a deep pore cleaning facial by a charming young woman named Nicole who I had the best 60 minutes of my day with . I honestly and truly cannot say one bad or negative thing about the spa or my experience. This spa boasts having earned many awards, but I'm not sure for what. Booking an appointment was difficult. Communication was difficult and I should've stopped there ... Instead, I booked a 90 minute, $115 sampler, and was so disappointed that I immediately called the manager when I left. It was the worst massage I have ever received. Over the years, I have had many hot stone and deep tissue massages. The quality of this massage did not come close to a seasoned masseuse. The stones were so hot they burned me, and the deep tissue was more like a torture because she kept sticking to A single area - and not an area that I had indicated to be in need. I finally had to ask her if we could move on to another body part! The scalp treatment was no more than the pulling of my hair, rather than massaging of the scalp. A cold ice pack was pressed on to my face, and was so uncomfortable I asked that it be removed. Although a facial scrub was offered in its place, the scrub ended up in my eyes and in my mouth, and was so granular I felt like it was scratching my skin. Overall, this spa package session was not comfortable or relaxing, and I was totally stressed by the end of the session. What is even more disappointing is that the manager only offered me another massage. My question is, why would I want another massage from a spa that I have totally lost faith in. she would not offer me an opportunity to use a partial reimbursement towards other services only a massage. My suggestion is that you find another place to go because they are many out there! I'm greatly disappointed to see the owners response to my review is so terribly inaccurate! Sorry to give them a bad rating during this time when people are supposed to support local businesses, but I don't think they'll stay long in the business. They claim to have a new owner, too bad she doesn't understand how to attract clients, rather than sending them away. The receptionist is very rude and acts like she doesn't want to be there. I asked a few questions, all got a negative response from her, like they don't need the money. No walk ins, you have to call and when you call, you get this cold act: we don't have this, we can't do that, bye bye. So, I said bye bye and went to a different place (Chelmsford), where people make a great first impression, have phone manners, a warm voice and a warm welcome. The body massage was very relaxing and the staff very friendly. I don't usually have the patience to sit for a manicure pedicure but these ladies made it easy to enjoy. Best pedicure ever! The deluxe pedicure was wonderful! Parking is free, the ambiance is nice, they have a small selection of production for sale, it is clean and inviting, the massage area is upstairs and nail salon downstairs, there is free tea/ coffee etc, they have free flip flops, in case you don't some a pair. I had purchase a Group-on for massage and a nail care. I went in for a 60 mins massage . I wasn't impressed at all. Massage itself wasn't too good and there are a customer screaming on the other room. Apparently they were getting a bikini waxed. The therapist kept apologizing but it wasn't really her fault. The place is too small. You can hear everyone talking a giggling. not an ideal place for a massage. After the massage a receptionist informed me the group on I had has expired and I would only be able to use it for a $$ amount. I ended up paying $30 more. So the screaming massage ended of costing. $50 + $30 + $15 tips = $95 . :-( !! how ever for all that screaming receptionist offered me 20% off for next visit !! NO THANK-YOU ! I won't be back. !! THEY STOLE FROM ME, TWICE!!!! BEWARE! I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I had purchased a Groupon to try them out. Scheduled a manicure for Saturday afternoon. in the wee hours of the morning my son began throwing up. I called to ask if I could switch my spot to a later portion of the day, as I needed wait for my spouse to get home to stay with our son. They informed me they didn't have space. So I asked to switch it to another day. Apparently that means I cancelled my appointment and they charged me one of my groupons. Ridiculous. Well, I still decided to try them since I had a second Groupon. Went to the appointment and the service was AWFUL!!! My nails were barely filed, my paint wasn't even, and the "shellac" polish chipped within 2 days. Unfortunately, a friend bought me another certificate for my birthday. I was pretty sad to have to go back. I called to make an appointment where they informed me that since I had previously used 2 certificates - which I didn't, they fraudulently charged me for 1 - that I was unable to use another certificate. However, I could pay the difference. So basically they're telling me I'm unable to utilize a GIFT that was given to me?! Heck no, I told them I would contact the gifter as I would NEVER intentionally go there and pay for their terrible service. Cancel the appointment! Well, turns out they already charged the certificate, never cancelled the appointment, and now the gifter isn't able to get her money back either. In total they stole almost $50 from me. Just want to start off with, I have never given a business a two star rating before. I had gone to this spa for a mani/pedi and was quite happy, but was surprised to learn that the girl doing my nails was in high school. She actually gave me one of the best mani/Pedis I've ever gotten. So I went back to have my eyebrows waxed. Bad decision. 1st they didn't have my appt (I made online) in their system. Second the women "Allyssa" who did my brows argued with me when told her that I needed her to even out my eyebrows. She kept saying she'd been doing this for 20 yrs and that I wasn't communicating to her what I wanted her to do. This "spa" is awful. I had the worst massage of my life there a few months ago. The massage therapist talked for the entire 90 minutes about her personal life. I don't find it relaxing to hear about someone being known as the Pasta Queen of Somerville - does that make her a better massage therapist? It would have been awkward to ask her to be quiet, so I kept my mouth shut and actually counted down the minutes until she was done. I doubt that insulting her massage style would have resulted in a better quality massage. I'd also like to note that the pictures of the spa look nice, but they aren't showcasing the massage dungeon. It's literally in the basement and gross. I would never recommend getting anything done there. I agree with the other reviews that the receptionist is really unfriendly towards Groupon users. I get that when businesses partner with Groupon, they run the risk of getting spa-hoppers who go from deal to deal, but the best way to retain customers is to provide high-quality, nice service from check-in to check-out. I'm sure the owner will say, well then why did you leave a tip? Probably because I didn't want to be chased out with pitchforks by your cranky staff. read more

When I walked in I noticed it was a very pretty salon. I had a groupon for a 60 minute facial. When I went in the room it was set up and relaxing. The girl came in and didn't ask me anything about my skin or where I usually broke out - she just started the facial. She didn't inform me of the products she was using on my face or if I was allergic to anything just to double check. I let her know my areas of problem including my nose and chin, and that I was starting skin prep for my wedding. When she went to do the extracting, she barely did any and didn't even touch the problem areas I mentioned. When she put the mask on there was no upper neck massage or shoulder massage, which I have experience in facials before. When the facial was over, she said I will meet you downstairs. As I proceeded downstairs she tried to sell me on the products she used on my face, but didn't give me any information during the facial on what she was using. It was an OK facial, I'm glad I didn't pay full price for it though. read more

I've been to this place 3-4 times for a manicure or pedicure. After finding a place a like better I decided to stop coming to A Spa for You. Four months ago my mom and a friend were in town and they wanted a quick manicure near home, so I found some good deals in Groupon like I did in the past. My mom never used her voucher for a shellac mani, so before it was going to expire I decided to call and book an appointment. After I gave them my name and said I had a Groupon voucher (I paid $15.50), they told me I needed to pay the difference ($14.50) because I had used vouchers in the past...I was going to cancel but I decided to give them another try. When I arrived today they asked me what kind of nail polish I had, I said gel and they told me the removal fee was $10 (never in my life I've paid a removal fee if I'm getting a manicure). At the end I was going to pay $40 (tip not included) for a shellac manicure (regular price is $30) when I was supposed to pay $15.50 which is what I paid for the Groupon voucher...because I'm not even sure they make you pay a removal fee if you book a regular appointment and pay the whole price. I wonder why they keep offering good deals (apparently) in Groupon, but if you use them multiple times in the past then you need the whole price. Plus, in the previous times I've been here my experience was not good at all: they are slow, they do not have a great selection of gel nail polishes, when you call to book an appointment, they usually put you on hold for 10 minutes or more...please save your money and time and go somewhere else! read more

Excellent manicurist, so I am sad that I won't be returning. The owner's policy to charge you full price if you miss an appointment is bad customer relations, especially to regular clients. Professionals who have demanding jobs just can't help it sometimes. Plus her attitude is unpleasant. It is her right to enforce whatever policy she chooses and my right to choose to spend my money elsewhere. It is interesting that the concerns that are raised here are from people trying to use one-time Groupons multiple times then complaining when they are not able to and not the regular customers. Didn't actually get to go! This is only to make sure any one who purchased a groupon is very very careful. They redeem it when you make the appointment. I missed my appointment (totally my fault I wrote the wrong date down and never noticed the date in their confirmation email) but I was told that basically it was already redeemed so if I made a new appointment I would have to pay full price for a new one. I understand the policy but I thought the purpose of a groupon was to get new customers and it would have been nice if they had made some kind of gesture to entice me to try again. I can honestly say that was an incredibly expensive mistake and I will never go there. I was going to A Spa Flr You since they changed ownership..i made my first appointment about a year ago..i honestly do not remember giving my credit card information or signing anything. I was going there a lot and one of the things that was offered was a point type system..i never got any points at all and i spent a lot there..the owner was pretty nice at first. She also sells "it works" which is another product that she offers in the spa. I can say that the massage therapists come and go..i never had a massage from the same person twice..i never knew what to expect do to the unstability. And after every massage the owner pushes the it works rehydration on you..every few months new services are added on to the spa which is great except when she does not understand the service completely..the owner tends to push new services. Which is her job i get it..i had covid in march and it has still been affecting me now and then..so yesterday she kept offering a massage to me on facebook..she is not one to give up so i said yes..my first mistake..it was supposed to be for 10. I wasnt able to make it today..i over slept because i was up all night..she messaged me 4 times and called 3 times. I apologized and explained my situation..then the calls kept coming. An hour later she charged my credit card the 120. The owner is rude and unreasonable. She wanted to charge me $10 to remove the nail polish I had on my nails when I showed up for my appointment. Told me she would not have time to give me a french manicure, and to pick a color. When I said I wanted a french manicure, she told me there wasn't time for that, even though I made an appointment a week before. I was told if I rescheduled the appointment, I would lose my Groupon voucher. When I called to complain to the manager, it turns out that was the woman I was dealing with, and she hung up on me. I got eye lash extensions for a special occasion only for them to fall out 3 days later. When I called the owner said they would re do them at no cost. Fine but I have an hour drive there and back and I have chronic back pain so laying for 2 hours really did a number on me. I told her I couldn't do that again and that I was worried the same thing would happen again in 3 days. I asked for a refund which she said no that she'd offer a service for the $98 I paid. I told her I would like a refund instead due to the long ride and gas. I explain the gas cost me $40 there and back when I went for the eyelash extensions she then told me no it didn't after I said to her you don't even know what I drive. Who as a owner would make that assumption. The owner was very rude I told her she needed to learn some customer service which she laughed at and said yeah I do. I told her that I've never had someone so rude and that you should not speak to a customer that way. Her response was to hang up on me. When I called her back numerous times she would answer the phone without saying anything only to hang up on me every time. Finally on the 4th call said she hung up on me because we were getting nowhere and I told her again the customer is always right and she said in this case you're not and hung up on me again. I would never recommend this place for anyone I knew. Owner is unprofessional and very rude. Who does that??? Not a place I'd return to be treated that way. She shouldn't be in business at all with the attitude and mouth on her. Lashes should last more than 3 days so obviously their products are junk!!! Don't go there!!!! I came once or twice and was happy with the service but it hasn't been as good lately. I had a pedicure there and it didn't look very professional. I went elsewhere to get it fixed and they told me it looked like I hadn't had a pedicure in a while (I just had one at this place). Then I tried to make a last minute appointment on my day off because it's close to my house and it was still an okay job they did (better than I could do myself). I realized I had a previous commitment two hours after I booked, I called to cancel and the woman on the phone started to fight with me saying "you have been here before you know what the policy is!" regarding cancelation fees. It was a one-sided fight because I hadn't said anything except I needed to cancel. I don't appreciate people starting arguments on the phone about things I haven't even addressed. And I don't appreciate an aggressive tone out of nowhere. Jeez, chill. I still don't know what their policy is for canceling a last minute appointment two hours after you booked it, but clearly couldn't ask because the woman on the phone was in fight mode.
