I went here from the time I was born till the time I was a teenager. I give it 4 stars because I had an amazing time growing up here in this church. The church attendance and size has decreased greatly as of late and is mostly an aging congregation, but it's still a great group of people.

This is a good church with solid Biblical preaching and an awesome worship ministry. They have a…read morelot of ways to get involved, make friends, and grow in your faith. But if you have a child with a behavioral or cognitive disability there is little to no support for those families who want to attend. These were the following options available to us: one parent was suggested to stay with our child in the class during the service time (might as well stay home to do that); an adult "buddy" was assigned for extra support for our child in the regular children's setting. A church member there suggested that if we saw a need in the church we should be the ones to try and meet it.So, in other words, find a way provide the support and provide the respite we needed for ourselves at church, while running on fumes just to get through our daily lives parenting a child with a disability? Growing up in church I know what she meant, but this was a very disheartening and insensitive remark. Like every church we have tried in the Stockton area, the children's ministry there is meant for "normal" kids. If your children are all in that category they will have a great experience! But families like ours need churches to see us too- we are right here in Stockton. We are stressed, worn, and isolated. We know people see our kids as odd and annoying, and we don't want to be seen as a problem or burden to bear at church. Since it's been a few years since we were there, I looked on the website recently to see if there was any new support or class for special needs kids/families. Nope. I do want to mention that QLBC has a ministry for deaf and hard of hearing. They have genuinely kind and God-loving people there. We would go back if our son had a place there.

Giving it 4 stars for services and friendliness…read more Pastor Bob is great. A nice man who honestly wants to know your name - you can tell he really just flat out cares. We came here for a funeral - a somber event - but go figure we ended up having a great time! The service was graceful, well put together and what the pastor said really resonated. If you are a member of the church you can rent out the small adjacent room to the chapel and at an excellent price too. Oh and they do have tables and chairs you can use if you need them. The chapel itself was gorgeous on the inside with vaulted ceilings and comfortable plush seats in the pews. They also have a childcare room or nursery, a small parking lot and a fenced outdoor area with basketball hoop. All in all, I am a fan of this church and pastor Bob and we really appreciated everything from that day.

It is so easy to get involved & dig deeper in your faith. For me I wanted to attend Church but also learn more in scripture about His word. It was so easy to find groups that took things step by step to go through passages & help my understanding. The genuine connection, Bible believing groups of each person i met has changed my life. They gave me resources and a community that gathered around me to support me on my journey. There is truly a niche here for everyone. Whether you want to join in acts of service, a welcoming committee, and groups within- the Church truly supports you on your faith walk with Christ. So thankful I found BCCC.

Going to a non-denominational church felt risky. The way the church is able to balance word and spirit has challenged me in new ways. I look forward to Sunday mornings to see my Church family. It's Wednesday night, midweek service that has challenged me and deepen my faith and prayer life. Highly recommend.
