The staff are very friendly, and they were able to help us pick out some cards from their displays, and cards that weren't out on display. They also have booster packs from many different sets, and even let us pick our own packs from their box. We bugged them nonstop for about 45 minutes with card pricing to make sure we got the best deal, and they were very willing to help. Cannot recommend them enough.

The gentleman behind the counter listened to my issues and had no problems helping me even though my game wasn't from his store. He was able to fix my game by cleaning it and even waited to see if I could play it properly before I left. I wasn't charged a dime even though I took up a good 5 minutes of his time. I'm not a huge gamer nor am I what would be considered the common target demographic for gaming, even so I wasn't ignored or treated badly. They had a poster by the entrance that caught my eye on my most recent trip - they sell a SNES handheld console! It is fantastic. I was able to try it out because they had a used one for sale the day I was there. After playing on it for a few minutes, I knew I must have one and now I've fallen down the wormhole of classic SNES games. Pricing on the Supaboy S and the games I bought were all fantastic. I was not familiar with pricing, so I did a little peeking on eBay before making a big purchase and all of the games were very very good prices. I expected to pay a good bit more to buy local, but GA seems to price their cartridges for about the same as they're selling for on eBay give or take.The Supaboy system was also a good price - it was available a few bucks cheaper online, but I'm literally talking about less than a 10% difference and buying local means having a great store like this AND not having to wait. I have checked out the other Gamer's Anonymous on the westside and I liked this location more. The staff here is friendly, approachable, and knows their stuff. This location also has some fun games playing on retro systems to let you relive some fun memories for freeeeeee! I'll be back! Update: ended up swapping the handheld Supaboy for a genuine Nintendo console a few days later. The store was fair to me - I had opened and used the Supaboy, so they did deduct a percentage of what it was worth to trade it out - but the process was easy. I would continue to recommend them.

Profits are directed to local libraries and literacy projects in Sandoval County. There's a great selection of all types of books - fiction, non-fiction, history, hobbies and more. Prices are reasonable - most things are $5 or less. I picked up 3 books for $9. New these books would have cost me over $50. The store relies on donations so the turnover is constant. Plus, everyone working there is a volunteer. I'll be clearing out my book shelf and take some with me to donate the next time I'm in the area. Lets see - inexpensive books purchases and helping to fund literacy? Sounds like a win-win to me.
