I rarely write reviews but I feel compelled to do so. Faye from Verizon store at 4111 Coors Blvd, ABQ, NM, greeted us at the door with a smile and was professional throughout the appointment. I was a bit clueless as to what the differences were with the iphone 17, 17 pro and the17 pro max. She explained things in Layman's terms, and at no point did I feel pressured to buy the more expensive iphone. I decided on 17 pro max and I love the phone. Faye called the next to to follow up. So to start off, I had switched to Verizon two years ago and just switched away yesterday. After leaving Verizon, to my surprise, my phone suddenly started getting two years worth of updates. It was updating for almost 7 hours straight. There was weird things that had been going on with my phone for years, like not being able to use voicemail. They ended up resolving a problem that Verizon made. Basically the other place I went to (unfortunately Xfinity) ended up fixing a carrier problem that Verizon left on my phone since the day I joined them in 2022. What they explained to me that they think what happened, was that when I moved to Verizon, my phone number was changed. I requested it switched back, but the new one was what remained on the account even though I did get my requested number back. My phone worked just fine, except it wasn't connected to the account? It seems that for two years, because of Verizon's mess up, they shuttled my phone updates from that day on- because my phone was like a ghost not connected to an account but still able to connect to towers? I didn't know that was even possible. That it was possible to not be on an account nor that it was possible for them to stop those phones from receiving any software updates. My big point of this review is that it should be illegal to stop me from getting software updates from a third party device I bought. It was not bought from them, I brought it from another service and brought it over. Their service stifled my updates. From a security perspective that's incredibly worrying. The data on my phone didn't have two years worth of security updates and I could have easily got malware due to lack of protection. The overcharging us for just two phones on a line was where I decided to drop them. Not sure if it was just because we ran out of the original package and they wouldn't budge, but we were paying over 100+ for just our two lines. Switching saved me 180 a month. Yeah, they're overcharging like crazy if you don't have a brand new package that'll expire in a few months to a year, leaving you paying outrageously after it ends. I don't personally recall the service at this location because it was two years ago, so I have nothing to say about the current employees as they may not even be the same I met. read more

Service was initially fast and excellent. However, the next day I decided to order an upgrade, which was done and I was told the phone WILL be here on Dec 3, which was a lie and I think they KNEW it was a lie because, per another employee, reordered a almost NEVER get there at all and customers to have to go back in, cancel the order, then reorder. Well placed Verizon location! Perfect for people running errands on the west side. Organized well with a lot of seating area and a comfortable feel. The staff was busy when we walked in but they greeted us right away. We came In for a screen protector and case for an older iPhone which we didn't find anything we needed which was a little disappointing. More inventory = More stars for this location read more

My daughter was looking to upgrade her phone. We chose this location because of its proximity to our house and the fact it had the phone in stock that my daughter wanted. The store was well-being staffed this day (a Saturday). We were greeted immediately and there was no wait. In the current covid19 world, precautions are important to me. The associates desks were spaced apart. The chairs for the customers were a safe distance from the desk, with tape on the floor. The associates were all wearing masks, though some were ill-fitting. Though the sign on the door stated masks were required to enter, this was not enforced as a family of four walked in, none masked. The total time in the store was about 15-20 minutes. The associate offered the (unnecessary) upgrade on my phone, though wasn't overly pushy when I declined. (My phone is less than a year old). He did review the specials and offered advice on how to best save money in the long run in the monthly bill. Overall a good experience. read more
