The game truck was awesome! We just used them for my sons seventh birthday. They had a large selection of games. The kids were entertained for two hours. Bus was very clean and organized. The best part was the two young men that they sent. They entertained the kids for the entire time, were very professional, friendly and definitely knew the equipment and games. I would definitely recommend this company. Everything from the booking to online invitations to confirmation to final payment was nothing less than professional. Very impressed and I know that most of my guests will be using them for their child's next birthday. *note we live in a townhome where our driveway didn't have the space for a 50 foot truck. Booked game truck for my son's 9th birthday. Chose this company specifically because of reviews and that they had the video systems my son liked. Day of, they cancelled the party, telling me it was just that someone was sick. I later learned that they had actually overbooked. To their credit, they did find another company to do the party. But it was from what I can tell a materially worse truck, with guys who were nice enough, but gave me a hard time when I asked them to turn off a movie that the birthday boy hated. If you are interested in game truck, find a different company. read more

I have used Game Truck in the past and normally rate a 5 star. This past 1 July almost totally wrecked that... Booking was fantastic, provided the info needed, and the event as requested. Day of event... I am supposed to meet the truck at 9:30AM. at 9:40AM I receive a call and a lame excuse that there were Mechanical issues, and they are running 40 mins late. Now I am expecting them to arrive at 10:20AM (we were starting at 10 AM). At 10 AM, I call to request a status and am now told traffic has delayed arrival until 10:40... at 1040 I am told delay now until 11:00AM. At 11AM I am told the guy is 3.8 miles away... he arrives at 11:20AM... (almost 2 hrs late). Mean while I was fortunate to have had a playground, and have an ice cream truck I coordinated to be there from 10:30-11:30 to give the kids some ice cream. The truck arrives, and what pulls up? a trailer... not the size I ordered. I ordered a 20-21 person truck. I get a 16 person truck... which by-the-way seemed PACKED with 14 8 year olds jammed inside... The A/C did not work, so the operator opened the doors and windows to "Air it out until the A/C kicked in..." Funny... after 2 hours the A/C never "KICKED-in" Game selection... hum they must have had 30 games on the wall... yeah, but they are all the same 3 games... I requested E for Everyone games and had Halo, Assassins Creed and Call of Duty... only 3 kids games... Very inappropriate. The Game Coach... you know the guy who we pay "Extra" for to engage with the kids and help them play games and coordinate the event... Yeah well... He stood around texting the time and didn't do squat. In his defense, he may have been working to reach the owner because my wife and I were very upfront about all of this being unacceptable. The only thing that redeemed this catastrophe was the owner understood we were exceptionally upset, and since nothing we contracted for was provided other than 2 hours of the wrong time he offered to only charge 50%. This was satisfactory, and we are fine with the resolution. In the future, we will use only one operator they we know of who live further away, but that we know is reliable. The booking office, did not care about any operator/owner other that what Zip code did we live in. I'll Lie next time, or I won't rent. Dave read more

In the past, we have had great experiences with gametruck, and when it came time to book our party, everything went smoothly, with the booking easy to use. But, 10 minutes before the party, we got a call from the game truck driver saying that the truck broke down and that he wouldn't be able to make it to the party. There was no backup truck, no reconciliation for the party, and we were stuck with 11 fourteen year olds and nothing to do. While I can respect that the truck broke down, as you never know when those things happen, they claimed that there were no other trucks. Along with this, it seems rather unfair that the cancellation deadline for the customer is 7 days before, while apparently the deadline for the game truck is 10 minutes before. To make matters even worse, when the driver called to cancel, he mentioned that the owner would call us back to refund us. Currently, its been 8 days, we've sent them numerous emails and phone calls about getting our money back, and we have not been given a response. Still waiting. read more

Great experience for our son's 9th birthday. Easy to book, arrived on time, truck was clean, and all of the kids had a great time (even the one who wasn't sure this would be her thing). We had 14 kids in the truck and they had enough consoles/controllers that everyone could play at the same time. There was a good variety of games available (but none of the more mature titles we wouldn't have wanted the kids to play) and our game coach, Danielle, did a great job of paying attention to what kids were engaged with and switching up the games to keep everyone entertained. She and the driver, Dan, were very friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommend them! read more

Our party was in October for a group of 9 year old, sports savvy boys. We were disappointed because we specifically asked if the GameTruck team had Madden 16 on PS4 & NBA 2k 16. The owner said "YES!" When the truck arrived, those games were NOT there, "but on another truck" the driver said. Can you imagine spending over $400 for a 2 hour party that had old Wii consoles instead of the newest games & equipment. According to my boys, the new PS4 had only 2 games and they were GUN games, which I specifically requested not to be available. To potential customers, I suggest you save the money and upgrade your video game library & equipment - I wish I had! read more

My daughter wanted this as an alternative to a traditional sweet 16 party. The selection of games was great as was the climate controlled truck. The kids had an awesome time. Backyard laser tag party -- I was disappointed. The young guy in charge seemed sweet, he showed up on time, but he didn't know how to conduct games, lead a crowd, or engage a group of 10-year-old boys. A second GameTruck guy just sat on the edge of the truck without speaking the whole time. I've been to laser tag parties where the tag master really engaged and got the kids excited. This was like ... here are some guns and tents, go play. It was chaos, and not the good kind. I had to use a megaphone (which a friend had just given me as a gag gift) to organize the kids into games with the laser guns. For $500 dollars, I expected THEIR TEAM to run the party. read more

Overall, the experience went well and the children were entertained. (My son's 13th birthday party.) However, the truck was supposed to arrive at 5:30pm but did not arrive until after 6:00pm. The driver indicated that he needed to stop for gas. As a result, my guests had to stay longer than expected in order to take advantage of the full two hours that I paid for. Thank you. read more

I was sitting in my lounge chair in front of the house with a glass of wine and kids had the biggest fun for hours in the truck with Joe, the owner and his assistant! We used them last Summer for son's 10th birthday - (June 2016). Kids had a great time and the trailer was very clean and the games and consoles were all in good working order. The game coach, Kevin was enthusiastic and he knew all the equipment inside and out. He played games with the kids and really made the party fun! Arrived on time. Alan Totally knew all the games, sensitive to what was allowed or not. It was a 90 degree day. They show up 30 minutes early. I was told he wouldn't turn the truck on until about 10 minutes before the party because he only had a quarter tank left. What?!?! The kids didn't melt, but were sweaty. I'd give them 5 stars but for this fail. That a/c needed the 30 minutes head start to really make it decent in the truck, but he was afraid his generator would runs out of gas. Kids loved it, complained slightly of the heat but were so involved in gaming they forgot. I paid over $400 for 2 hours of play that's advertised to be air conditioned- I'd check in with them first. Has the a/c been charged lately and will they have enough gas to cool it down first. Just not acceptable. Otherwise perfect. read more

This is just the coolest thing on wheels...literally! Game Truck is a tricked out semi-trailer with a row of leather couches on one side facing a wall of giant video screens. A bunch of people (kids, or grown-ups) hang out and get to play just about any video game you can think of on all the major video game systems. You can even network the gaming for team competition. And it's super easy, they come right out to you. The owner/operator, Joe, is personable and professional. You'll have a great time and a good experience working with them. Great for kids parties as well as corporate team building stuff, or I bet it would even be good for bachelor/bachelorette parties. read more

The truck was late...And I understand that happens, but the driver didn't call to tell me. I called him when it was a few minutes before the doors were supposed to open! The truck ended up starting up 20 minutes late. I kept track of the time, but it seems the attendants didn't, as one of the kids told me they said they were wrapping up when I still showed another 30 minutes on my timer. The attendants were all friendly, and gave me all of the time I expected, but the lateness disrupted the whole party schedule and if they had given me notice of the lateness, I could have adjusted the schedule with the parents of the children attending. As a result, many kids had to leave before we were all done. I can't speak to how the gaming was run in the truck, as I was never in it. However, one guest complained that several games on the Wii didn't work. Still, the attendants were always very friendly and courteous to me, and I really appreciate that. And I mostly got what I expected from the truck itself, albeit 20-30 minutes late. They were the only game truck provider who had Switch, and being able to play the latest games is what it is all about! read more

I had a a birthday party for my son scheduled for Sat. I got an email from someone---not the owner that "a truck broke down" and I needed to reschedule my party 3 days in advance of the party. Imagine that. I called the owner and he was very rude. I told him I was upset and he said"I have a truck down and I am upset". There are other companies that are better and cheaper like Xtreme and others. Don't use these people they are terrible!!! read more

This company is very UNPROFESSIONAL, ESPECIALLY the Owner, Jeff Hardy!!! I booked a party for my child that Jeff's company's "Game Truck" was suppose to host. Their game truck broke down, and he cancelled my child's party without consulting with me, and I had already put a reservation deposit of $212 dollars down a week before. I then received a phone call from another company "Xtreme Game Trucks" who attempted to fill me in on my child's party being cancelled, and that they would be hosting my child's party because Jeff Hardy (owner of Game Truck) cancelled it. This person was very aggressive, and inpatient on the questions I had regarding the reason he was calling me and why does he need me to commit to his company when I already had a placed a deposit with Game Truck. I was also told that I did not have to pay the remaining balance of $212 dollars. Here again Jeff took the remaining balance out of my account anyway. When I finally spoke with him (in which I CALLED HIM) he stated that he had to use that money to pay the other company for hosting my child's party. Here again, he failed to communicate this with me. My problem is that the owner failed to do his job and kept his business a float and did not keep me, THE CUSTOMER in the loop of the decisions he was making on my dollar, and how my child's party was almost ruined. Even after the party, I still never heard from the owner, and I had to call him myself. He agreed to reimburse me $100 dollars for his unprofessionalism, and failure to communicate with me regarding decisions he made that I was totally unaware of, and has yet to do it, and is has been over 3 weeks since he agreed to do so. I encourage anyone to make sure that things are clear when booking with this company, because they do no communicate well at all, ESPECIALLY THE OWNER!!!!! read more

This was by far the best and easiest party we've ever had for one of our kids! Nothing like having the whole party come to you and entertain boys so perfectly. My 9 year loved it and said it was the best birthday ever. Booking was a cinch. There was a link included for invitations which was very convenient. Day of the party they were very prompt and professional. The truck was clean, climate-controlled, stocked with every game imaginable with nice gaming systems and large flat screens. Just like being in your basement! We found the seating to be extremely comfortable and the track lighting to be a fun and nice touch. The host/game truck driver was attentive, patient and great with the kids. The only bummer is that it had to end! It was the first party I didn't feel completely drained afterwards. So much fun and so easy. It's not exactly cheap, but highly recommend it! One caveat: Don't invite too many kids. We invited 20 and 17 showed. Would not recommend more than 16. The truck has 4 screens, accommodating 4 players per screen. The boys loved playing together or sitting next to their friends watching. Our boys were particularly great at taking turns so there were no problems. read more
