Hosted a 40th birthday party for the hubby. He got to relive college days of gaming with his buddies. Our kids also got into the action too. I expected it would be a family-friendly event, but was still surprised with how family friendly. Things that stood out: * PUNCTUAL - They showed up well ahead of schedule to make sure they were set up on time. In fact, they were ready 10-15 minutes before my party started (I was their first client of day), and so my mom (75 yo) and kids got to pre-game. * FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL - My attendants were Julia, Pharoah, and Jack. They were all super friendly, respectful and professional. If there were any questions, they were quick to respond and resolve any technical issues. They got a kick out of teaching my 75 yo mom to play Mortal Kombat (and she was hooked). * FUN - My guests ranged in age from just under 2 years old to 75. I'd say the people who played were mostly 5-75. At the end, several folks told me how fun and family-friendly the day was. It has been a long time since we have all been able to get together (schedules, babies, travel), so this was a great reunion. One word of caution - the Nintendo Game Switch will be on the Christmas wish list after. read more

My friend at work recommended the Game Truck as she had positive experience with her son's birthday party. I had a birthday party for my 9 yr old and his best friend also turning 9 yrs plus end of the year gathering for our boy scout troop. It was a big hit from the youngest to the oldest! The gentleman coordinating the truck was great with the kids and very helpful with the various games and also keeping them on track. Awesome idea for kids who like games! It was a rainy afternoon, but the boys were so excited, they stayed in the truck the entire allotted time. Also appreciated the professionalism of the administrative personnel who called ahead of time and made sure we had what we wanted and to see if we had any questions. I saw GameTruck at Awesome Con in DC and knew it was perfect for our son's 9th birthday. It did not let us down. Showed up early, was ready to go as kids arrived, and everyone had a BLAST! Not going to lie that I was gloating every time a kid said it was the best party ever. Most important of all, the attendant was awesome. He was so much fun, kept a close eye on all 20+ 3rd graders, and made sure everyone had a great time regardless of video game skill level or social personality. For the entire 2 hours, all I had to do was refill the snack table and talk to the few parents who stuck around and weren't playing games themselves :) Two friends already plan on hiring GameTruck themselves and I'll be sharing it with so many more. I give Game Truck Howard County 2 thumbs up. I was super impressed with whole experience. Initially, I ran into some issues (on my end) and I wasn't sure if I would be able to have the party. After explaining the issues I was having to Erik, he was very understanding and gave me options to help this party along. He answered all of my e-mails in a timely manner and he is just as nice in person. Erik was early, professional, easy to talk to. As far as the game truck, you get exactly what you see online. The trailer was clean, there was a good selection of games and the tv's were an added bonus (the quality). We have done the video game truck for past birthdays and it was always a big hit! This time we tried the laser tag for my son's 9th Birthday! Even though we were rained out twice, rescheduling was very easy and super quick response from Eric, Thanks! He was a pleasure to work with! The day of the party was 90+ degrees but it didn't bother the kids they had a BLAST! Kris and Julia were well organized and super excited and always had a smile and so much enthusiasm! The set up with the barriers was very cool and the boys had so much fun with the games they set up. I would highly recommend this type of party! Unique and lots of fun!! Absolutely LOVED this for a large group of 11-14 year old kids. There is a local competitor that I was looking into, but it took them almost 1.5 days to get back to me where as Game Truck answered the phone on the first try. GS was also more inexpensive and you got a lot more time than the other competitor. All in all, they showed up on time, they managed 27 surprised and excited kids with patience and the bus and games itself were the latest and greatest. A definite go-back and I am the new reigning mom champion in my community of friends. BTW, we surprised our son and there was nothing better than he and his buds walking out to see this huge bus in front of the house. read more

My son and his friends had an amazing time celebrating his 6th birthday with a Game Truck party. Erik was really helpful when booking the party and contacted me the week of the party to confirm details. Shawn (sp?), our party host, called about 45 minutes before arriving so we would be ready. Upon arrival he quickly got everything set up giving us plenty of time to check it out and even give the birthday boy and his sister a little pre-party game time. We had such a positive experience with GameTruck! We had GameTruck come for my son's birthday. The kids had an amazing time. The GameTruck has all the games the kids love. Customer service was great. It was super easy to set up the party, and the GameTruck owner was easily accessible to answer questions and to help arrange the details of the party. The GameTruck operator ran an fun-filled, well organized party for the kids. At one point during the 2 hour party when I was hanging out in a completely quiet, clean house, my husband remarked how you would never know we were having a birthday party. The service and the truck was just wonderful. Because I'am very serious about time so it meant a lot to me that they came on time and ready to work. The staff was professional and very helpful witch kept me calm and at ease with all that I had on my plate. The truck was clean warm and comfortable witch also meant a lot since my son's birthday is in December and the day of it was 21 degrees cold and snowing so my son's 19th. We hosted a GameTruck laser tag party in our backyard for my son's 10th birthday this past weekend. It was fantastic! We had boys and girls, ranging from ages 6-10 - everyone had a blast! Chris and Pharaoh were great hosts. They arrived on time, were very organized, accommodating to my expectations, and engaging and patient with the kids. They made sure everyone was included and that everyone enjoyed the different types of games. My son said it was the best birthday party he ever had. Celebrated my son's 7th Birthday and It has been by far one of the best experiences. All our guest, Children and Adults Enjoyed the 2 hours of Video Games! We Wouldn't have had it any other way. What a great experience! We booked the GameTruck for our 9 year old's birthday party and it was a big hit! The driver and game attendant Shawn was awesome! He had a great personality that engaged well with the kids. He was very prompt and professional. The girls loved Just Dance - there was enough room in the truck for 8 girls to dance at one time while the boys sat at the other end and played games. Had my son's 9th birthday in the GameTruck. All the kids had a great time. The equipment was meticulously maintained and super clean. We had a large group of 20 boys and Erik, did an amazing job facilitating the party so that they all agreed on what to play, when to switch games, etc. Leading up to the party Erik made sure that I knew what to expect and understood what would happen the day of the party. I purchased the video game truck event from gametruck and couldn't be more happy with the experience. I had to reschedule my original appointment and they were very accommodating. The kids loved the truck. We had expected 16 kids max but a few extra showed up. Not a problem for gametruck. The guys on site were excellent.
