Corey was solid as a game truck operator and my son had a blast at his Gamer vs Gamer party bash. The party started with a red carpet entrance into the video game truck with music preselected by us pumping inside. The video game selection was high quality albeit my son chose to play mine craft with his buddies the whole time. Other guests enjoyed Mario Kart and a racing game that was on the play station 4. Food, drinks, popcorn, cake, and candy were provided and added good value for the event. There was a tear jerker video that was a special touch to the event and that my son said made him very emotional. No popcorn, no cake, no sodas, not anything one would expect from an all inclusive party company that boasts "stress free or no fee" . When asked why there wasn't anything we were told they were too busy and must have been a mix up. Gamer vs gamer just provided a stress free birthday party for my 8 year old son. These guys were professional and passionate about the service they provided. They made my little boy feel like a king and my son wore a smile on his face all day as well as all of his guests. I have ordered a game truck the previous year...that is NOT what gamer vs gamer is. This is the next level! They had a trailer loaded down with balloons, nice seats with built in speakers, popcorn machine, videos playing on all the big screens with my kids face imposed on the body of some dancers, singing songs like a giant bobble head! I mean they went all out!! It was hilarious, fun and best of all the adults just went inside and relaxed while the kids were having a blast for 2 hours. They served the pizza and the cake in the trailer and I didn't have to clean up a thing. This guy posted a Groupon marketing ad for a discounted party. Before purchasing the Groupon deal, I spoke with the owner personally to confirm that he could serve my area to which he agreed that he could provide my son with a birthday party at a discounted rate. Then I began to receive calls from him offering me additional time for more money, to which I respectfully declined. Bait and switch! About three weeks later and two days before the party he texted to inform me he was cancelling my son's party because I was out of the Groupon deal area by 10 miles one way. When I offered to split the cost although the owner of the company made the error he called Groupon to cancel my order before I could response d to his offer. Now he's on social media betraying the victim's role. It is unprofessional to post a customer's name and address to the public (via your site). By your own admission "necessary cancellation" - You didn't have to cancel. You could have honored your commitment knowing the party was scheduled. By your own admission "When we first spoke, I saw that the distance was 48 miles....." Well you booked the event. If you have a criteria for booking, you should use it from the beginning not after the party is booked cancelling just days before. No need to "feel awful about the incident". A good business owner would have taken "the loss" and maintained a good reputation by honoring the commitment. What makes this situation worse is that a 10 year old boy and his friends are disappointed because of a business owner's mistake. Helpful tip - Why maintain in a good reputation as a business owner? A business with a good reputation draws more customers and makes more sales. It is worth it to make sure your customers are satisfied. It was a difference of $30 wow. Poor customer service. Every new start company will have pitfalls and decisions that negatively impact their goal of customer satisfaction. But when the business causes errors the customer should not have to feel the negative effect. This business has ruined my son's birthday party by not up holding his agreement. And now he has released personal customer information on his Facebook page. He called me a liar and accused me of attempting to ruin his business. When In fact my goal is to alert customers of his BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES!!! This entire venture has turned into a nightmare. In my experience with this businesses ... I say ...Buyers beware. Mr. Hill, we obviously have different accounts of the events of the situation. But it is my right to recount the facts, as I have experienced. Not to ruin your business, but to make sure that other prospective customers are aware of your business practices by documenting my experience. I throw my children spectacular birthday parties but I have to say this was the party of all parties. My 6 yr old son loved every moment of it and the way they pre-planned to get his pictures, family mobile videos, and his favorite songs and games made the whole day special and completely tailored to him. I was impressed when At one point my son asked to play call of duty and they actually asked me first was it okay as it is a violent game. This was great because my son knows this is a no-no.
