Wasn't a deal breaker but seemed a reasonable request. The collection was well organized and labeled and in really good condition--not just thrown into a bin or binder. The person told me they could go through all of it right then within 15-20 minutes because "it was just all bulk". It was absolutely not all bulk cards but ok I thought whatever let's see what they offer. After waiting over an hour, they offered me $35 for all of the cards. Um yeah absolutely not. Went to a different store, waited a few days and got offered $170 AND got almost half of the cards back. I had had a positive experience here previous but that price differential is just completely insane and unacceptable and I would hate for this to happen to someone else who really needs the extra cash. Go to Dreamer's Vault on Hiawatha to sell your cards--don't waste your time here!!

The quality wasn't the greatest but it was free so I'll take what I can get. Since the store wasn't super busy on a Tuesday night my friend and I got some nice recommendations from the guy that was working in the store. My colleague tends to play party games so his lighter multiplayer recommendations made sense. My partner on the other hand prefers heavy euros but I didn't feel like asking about those this time around although I did see them carry some heavier games. There were a group of older adults playing a board game on the long tables in the back. I remember reading about magic the gathering nights so I imagine it might be nice to play here during weeknights when the mall isn't super busy. Also I noticed Games by James sponsored a play area for kids right next to the store. There's giant Jenga, connect 4 and bean bags to keep the little ones occupied while you shop.

With my return to the office becoming imminent, I knew the chips were down when it came to obtaining brain reset tools. One of my favorites is a good brain teaser, so Rush Hour was the order of the day. Being who I am, I was instantly distracted by all of the familiar old friends. I was lucky that Nathaniel was the one showing me where to find Rush Hour. The man knew everything about each one of the games that I was curious about. He even showed me games that were related to my old favorites (Arkham Horror, namely). I didn't get any of the wonderful cooperative games today, but I know I will be back when I find my game crew. This is a fantastic place to go for anyone who enjoys board games, card games, and puzzles.

Great selection of comics and the guys working at the store and running it couldn't be a more fun group of guys to deal with. Always professional and usually friendly, they start to feel more like friends after a while. Most of the stuff is priced according to current market values which can seem a little steep but I get the feeling they are always trying to undercut the competition ever so slightly well not losing too much of their profit margin. This place is definitely worth the visit and I need to try to get there more often than I do. They also have celebrity in store appearances from time to time with people basically associated with comic book lore. Do yourself a favor and check this place out if you get the chance. I promise you won't be disappointed by at least checking the place out.

This shop seems to focus more on tabletop games then anything else. A few patrons were playing a couple of different games upon our arrival. They had a nice array of snacks and drinks. I saw some many figs in the back and a few different unique dice sets at the counter area. When asking the staff member working what Welcome Decks were he used some great customer service skills and gifted me the entire set, because they were there to give away. He was informative and kind. I observed him waiting on other shoppers, and he did well overall. I think this is a great place for buying and playing tabletop games. The store had a quiet ambiance where it was easy to be heard, and it seemed very laid-back. I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for a less stimulating environment for tabletop games!

We spent close to an hour milling around, looking at the displays and creating our own LEGO minifigs. The huge wall of "pick & build" bricks is a sight to behold, featuring 180 different types of pieces. Above the store are a series of larger-than-life dioramas, including a caveman fighting off a LEGO sabretooth tiger, a gladiator battling a huge minotaur, a helicopter suspended from the ceiling, and a massive 34ft Gundam mech suit.  Hats off to the team of master builders that assembled these! There's a freeplay area for kids to explore and design; most employees are big LEGO fans themselves and are more than happy to help out or answer questions.  On the shelves, you can find nearly every themed set imaginable: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future, Star Wars, Fortnite, Bluey, and many more. One item that stood out to me was a 9,000pc Death Star set (retail price: $999.99 USD) that seemed more like a "dare" purchase than a real thing.  Who the f*** has enough disposable income to drop a grand on a toy??  Now that I think of it, a lot of the bigger sets like LOTR's Isengard, Hogwarts, and the Ghostbusters firehouse were thousands of pieces (and hundreds of dollars!) * TL;DR * Any visit to the LEGO Store is a colorful one, especially when we're talking about a flagship store. Of the 83 LEGO retail outlets in the country, the one inside the Mall of America is second-largest at 6,500sq ft - Rockefeller Plaza recently claimed the title with 7,175sq ft.  There's plenty to look at here, so be sure to stop by the LEGO Store inside MoA!
