THEY HAD THE ORIGINAL TO USE AS A TEMPLATE. But Michael does not cut Matt's, they send them to a place in Texas. I chose the expedited shipping. After 12 days with no word, I went BACK to Michael's where Miguel said he couldn't figure out what had happened to the order, but he would BE HAPPY TO REORDER IT FOR ME. Did so, and a week later I went back. The pictures tell the story. You can see the print and the original Matt, and you can ALSO see what they delivered....a 24"x32" matt with a WAY TOO BIG OVAL (not circular) opening. The Manager (Ernest?) got WAY CONDESCENDING and told me they would BE HAPPY TO REORDER IT FOR ME. (A word to the wise, Ernest, you can be snotty and condescending when you are GOOD AT YOUR JOB. Since you are not, you should hold off on the attitude). Frustrated, I figured I'd see what Hobby Lobby could do. Guess what? Hobby Lobby cuts their own matts, which the gal did in about 5 minutes. She also dry-mounted the print (another 5 minutes), and put everything together in the frame (another 5 minutes) for considerably LESS than Michael's had quoted me. Looking around while I was there, I noted that Hobby Lobby also has a better selection of frames and framing options, and their staff is MUCH more professional and talented. Another word to the wise.... avoid Michael's!

I've been to downtown Lemont plenty of times but I've never heard of or seen this location until…read morerecently. Me and my wife were shopping for family and this place was suggest to us. It's a small store that can be easily missed and parking can be tricky too honestly. It's exactly what a hobby / toy star should be from what's featured. Some stuff I don't think is kid appropriate like South Park characters etc but there are good games, some hard to find candy and tons of kid activities to keep their minds preoccupied and away from a phone

For the cry baby's if you can't read a manual and locate a part number don't buy a remote controlled car. Teach the kids some life skills and have them build a parts list and know the components. Prices always can't match online stores either. There's a price to pay for getting it today vs waiting on shipping they have bills to pay and rent for a store front with more overhead.

They also know what they are talking about. I had questions about transformers, layouts, and engines, and they explained things perfectly. Prices are reasonable, too. There's no insane markup like in some other hobby stores. Just a great place. It specializes in Lionel O-Gauge, though it has HO and some other stuff. It's easy to get to--it's right on Lincoln Highway, not far from the expressway--and there is parking in the back. They don't have stores like this any longer, so please check it out.
