They didn't have any in stock but here's what gets the 5 star review: without us asking, he said he'd look and see if they were in stock anywhere else in the area. He printed out a list of stores that showed them in stock and made sure we knew how to get to the closest location. Again, we didn't buy anything here but that type of service is lost these days, IMO. So if/when we need any other gaming stuff, this would be the first Game Stop I'd go to just because of this experience. I feel dumb for not getting a name because I like to recognize great service, but I feel like this review might be helpful to someone.

This is ladies and gentleman is how these rich companies stay rich and the poor stay poor . Never going to Gamestop again unless I have to like I did for this visit should've just went out of my way to somewhere else .

Firstly, I was going to buy a game that was 22 dollars, as marked on the sticker, but when I checked out she rang it up as 40 dollars and did not tell me the real price until I asked why it was so expensive. If she told me the price changed before I checked out, I would not have had an issue. It seemed like she was trying to cover up the real price. Furthermore, she did not show us the subtotal of each item on the pin pad, which made it seem like she was trying to trick us into spending more money. She should have honored the price of the game. Finally, she mentioned that she was adding the warranties to the games, but did not ask us if we wanted the warranties. Once she noticed these mistakes and we called her out, she seemed very unapologetic and it seemed like she did not care about us as the customers. This is a great location in terms of selection, but the service has gone into the gutter within the past few weeks.

The games are in good condition and the selection varies so you have to stop by regularly. I like them because I would rather support local. Because of the construction on Beach Blvd and the decrease in traffic Game Force is moving from Beach and San Pablo to Beach Blvd and 9A. I am sad to see them leaving the beach but I understand and will drive the extra couple of miles to support these guys.

I was able to send over a wish list of comics, and the store and warehouse were good at doing a search for the magazines, contacting me, and pricing the mags. They did also support a good quality check of the mags and there was no obligation to buy any of them. Needless to say, all the comics that they found we of great quality and I was very happy to buy all that was there. There was also great follow-up customer service on the experience.

The books here are mostly in brand new condition and sold at a heavily discounted price. Books from travel to cook books to novels to almost anything you can think of are available. If you have collectors to buy for they have a huge collection of Funko Pops to choose from. They also have old and new comic books with many used comic books only selling for a dollar or two each. A few packs of unopened sports card packs are for sale and don't leave the store without a pack of Jelly Bellies which are usually kept by the registers. On this visit they also had many holiday gift ideas on a few of the displays. Fun place to look at stuff and buy things you need or things you didn't know you need. Check it out because it's a fun place or just a place to pick out a new book.

Their sign says that they buy, sell, and trade, but we have only bought so I can't say much as to how fair their sell/trade prices are. I will say that the two games we have purchased from pixel age were priced higher than what I thought they should be and after checking GameStop's website just now for our most recent purchase, the game was $5 more here compared to GameStop. But hey, support local businesses right? The store itself is small, so their selection is not the largest, and it has only been open since April, so maybe as time goes on they will acquire more merchandise. Overall, this store is closer to my house than our preferred used game store, so to save myself the drive to the west side, we will most likely frequent here. Just a suggestion to the business owner, get an old school arcade room in house and you will have our business exclusively!
