Went here recently to get a Pokemon card graded, now being my second time trying to do the process with GameStop. I now know not to ever use them again. Every time I go they are unbelievably unkind and outright rude. The man behind the counter asked me if I had an account (I thought he meant a Pro account) and I said no, and he then almost completely just disregarded me going back to helping another women. Thankfully my phone number was linked to my free account so was able to get past that. Otherwise just totally depressing being here, said thanks for the help and all I get back is a "yep". Will now only be grading through CGC after this submission is over as a result. Mind you- this wasn't some $5 card, it was for a 1 of 1 Jungle Persian signed by Matthew Sussman (voice actor of Meowth). Had an issue with this store, where I discovered they (and other GameStops) were fraudulently offering "extended warranties" on PS5's, by processing them as "defective returns". According to their employees, nearly going out of business a few years ago, GameStop starting changing policies and recently put in place a requirement that employees must input serial numbers from the consoles before "defecting" them. This means that individuals with brand new machines, have to exchange them for refurbished or pre-owned systems to extend the warranties. After being forced to do this, I received THREE BROKEN systems, in one week. The first wouldn't even initialize for setup, the second would run for about 5 minutes (which I video recorded) and the third my son managed to get going for 2 hours before it crashed. Most of the store personnel are decent, Nick and Chris who did the first and second "Defective returns" were cool enough. Lindo who did the third one was extremely kind and polite, almost to the point it makes you less upset with the store. FRANK, the guy who I spoke to for the fourth return, was literally one of the worst human beings I've ever met. He immediately demanded I come back Monday (I.E. wait all weekend) to speak with Nick. He refused to look up the receipt in his system, pretending like he couldn't until I pointed out every other employee could, which is when he said that he didn't care to do it. Frank wouldn't check to see if he had a compatible system left in the store, unless I first wiped the last PS5 they gave me of my accounts and dragged it in to the store, to potentially find out they didn't even have another one. He stated he wouldn't test any console beyond powering it on to make sure it actually starts. Said he wouldn't call Nick (the store manager), contact a district manager, or any other form of management. GameStop can thank FRANK for the Consumer Fraud complaint I spent two hours filing tonight with the Attorney Generals Consumer Fraud Department, detailing the stores deceptive practices that have now wasted around 20-30 hours of my time and left me with 3 defective systems in one week. GameStop's Better Business Bureau rating of 1.07 out of 5, which includes hundreds of atrocious reviews describing conflicts and scams with returns, refunds, customer service, conflicting information and rude treatment from staff, explains it all. Googling yields a long list of articles explaining how GameStop has been heavily scamming customers for years, trying to steal money from them on everything from online orders to refunds and warranties. The BBB also lists how GameStop will drag out warranty problems so long, the warranties lapse and then refuse to honor them. Most of the people working there seem to be decent kids, or retirees just trying to make a few bucks, with the exception of FRANK who actually makes me sick, but GameStop needs to close up shop. read more

I don't understand why they keep anything on the shelves if you don't keep it in stock? Driving 35 min to another store isn't exactly a consolation for an item. If you "sell off the website" why would I come to the store? I can easily order things myself. 3/3 games chosen 0/3 in stock. Like just make it the empty store you so clearly are since you have little to no inventory. And your employee giggling about the matter did NOTHING but frustrate me. Do your inventory??? Horrible service. Never go here. Tried to sell me a game that was in a case that was smashed to pieces and when I asked if I could return it after I opened it if it was damaged a young kid tells me "yeah, it should be fine, just tell them it was broken" with a half ass response. After I went outside I opened it and saw the entire case was falling apart and the disk was lightly scratched all over and deeply scratched at the edge. When I asked for my money back to return it the first response was "well you opened it." Exactly the reason for my concern in the first place. After having an extreme attitude and trying to have me keep the broke game they finally gave me a gift card. I'm a pretty cool guy when it comes to greetings, but when you work for a corporation, you don't greet a customer like they are your best friend. The game advisors are ok but there is a major disconnect when it comes down to the customer service and when u ask about certain information. I recently asked about a certain product and the game advisor had no idea of what I was talking about. I even gave him a hint and said the website said ALL game stops would be participating in the event and he told me that maybe just over the internet I could participate. I called back 10 min later and was told I could participate smh. Oh well it was too late I already chose to go to another gamestop. Now I go to Roosevelt Field Gamestop cause they know what the hell is going on and don't have the your bothering me attitude! Store is huge and they have pretty much every game you could ever possibly want for Xbox one,PlayStation or Nintendo Wii ,the selection is endless , I love how they have a great used game selection as well saving me a lot of money ,store is clean and the guys behind the counter are extremely informative and friendly, plus they're open late every day!so glad it's only 5 minutes from my house! read more

Reason why I don't shop gamestop that often and take my business to bestbuy/Walmart. Wish the team here would handle releases better and was all on the same page. The staff here is cool with info but lack a business is business motto. I got different information from 3 different people today. I came to this store 3 different times today. I pre order WWE a week ago today I finalized the payment come in around 6pm be here before 9 no line blah blah unfortunately I have to make a line got misleading information and sorry if I'm making a big deal out of this but I was taught to always say how you feel. Then the rep tells me stand behind the person in group one me with no real direction I only see 1 line there is people with no tickets getting served before me I was not going to ask everyone infront of me to show me their ticket that should of been gamestop job to handle a smooth seamless release. There was one really great guy over there who was both knowledgeable and courteous; the other employees I dealt with were rude, and acted like they couldn't be bothered and didn't want to be there.
