What really sets this location apart is the staff. Kay, Dani, and Britt are not only kind and professional, but they genuinely make every customer feel comfortable and appreciated. They happily help you find what you're looking for, answer questions without judgment, and even hold your items at the counter while you continue shopping. Their enthusiasm is contagious, and they make the entire experience fun. I also loved seeing how inclusive this store is. They carry a wide variety of products, including beautiful lingerie, cosplay, and apparel for women, men, and plus-size customers. As a queer customer, it meant a lot to see people of all identities and orientations shopping comfortably together. That's what real sex positivity looks like--everyone is welcome. During one of my visits, I witnessed representatives from the local commerce department stop by to greet the staff and tour visiting officials. I overheard them praising Romantic Depot as a successful, community-friendly business that gives back through charitable donations. At first I gave leeway to that fact that we all have bad days; so thought I'd check the yelp reviews and discovered it wasn't just me. Fortunately the guy in the cage notices this and gets you back on track; if not, seek him out. The counter employee isn't enough to keep me away from the shop, it truly is a landmark with great products. I'd just rotate that persons work position because their customer interaction skills are bad. Cashier guy is also friendly and nice!
