Stopped into Game Stop because they had a free Pokemon promo card with any $15 purchase or more. 1 per adult customer with an account, kinda sad if you have more than one kid and only one account because you're not able to purchase for all of them. I got in line around 10am because the store opened at 11am. They took preorders first and then 5 customers at a time so they had a nice system in place. The service was great. The employees would come out from time to time giving updates and explained that there were only two of them working so show patience. I appreciated that. They also advised when they were down to the last 7 in stock. We got two of those 7. The one thing I don't like about game stop when it comes to Pokemon cards is they've decided to inflate their prices and sell them more than other retailers to capitalize on the market. Just left this store. Girl with the green dyed hair had an absolutely horrible attitude. I walked in at 11:30 am (they open at 10am) and she looked at her watch like "Are we open yet?" Open sign was turned off. She was working on inventory. When I asked her for some help (I had been looking at cards) her immediate response was "Everything we have is out" without even bothering to look at me. Absolutely horrible customer service. Would do zero stars if I could... Has to be the worst franchise in the establishment, and that's prior to Covid, but today was the final straw. First off I arrive at the store at around 2:25, the gates are locked behind the glass doors and there's a note that says "on lunch, back at 2:45." No big deal, the manager returns I go in to try to purchase the item I came for (wireless headset). I grab the box and take it to the register. Guess what?! They don't have it in stock. Why would the box even be out on the shelves then? She gives me the options on how to get them from another store, all of which are more complicated than ordering from Amazon. I decline but ask about the Marvel Guardians game that's going to be releasing the next day, much to my delight she tells me they'll actually be releasing it at 9pm this same evening in-store. So here I am at 9pm walking up to the door and the gates are halfway closed, I get the same manager's attention she comes to the door and I said 'you told me to come back at 9 ,' she goes "we close at 9pm, you had to be inside before then." Both my husband and I are gamers and we purchase TONS of games. We come here at least once every 2 weeks. Most of the employees here are polite and informative. We always get approached when we enter the store and asked if we need any help. I had an incident where I took off the gamestop price stickers from a game before I realized that I did not like it. Thought it would be an issue returning it, but it was not. Huge shout out to Michael, he's super informed and always gives great suggestions on other games to play. read more

Gotta give a 5star review for a few reasons and here is why: Before I went to the store I called to see if they had mlb the show 15 for ps4 in stock which they did so I went off and put it on hold for me. After arriving I was greeted and helped very quickly, Carla was the one who I spoke with on the phone and made the transaction when I got to the store. She also helped my niece find her game for the wii U. I've been to other game stops before and their service really sucked since they are always busy on the phone and often seem distracted, but today's experience was good. Got my game so I'm a happy camper! If I was to give you some pointers to customers. Either go to the store when it first opens or is gonna close... Ok no! I get to this store the manager(I guess) was on her cell phone having a conversation I as a customer did not want or need to hear so no greeting or anything. Part of the problem with Yelp reviews is that people often only leave them when they've had a really good or really bad experience, and that skews the results. My husband and I have been coming to this store regularly since it opened, and have overall had very good experiences. Are the associates perfect? Of course not, but we've never had one be rude (and the way some customers treat them, I admire their ability to stay polite). Often they've been very helpful, even in ways that may cost them a sale (like warning us off a bad game). Yes, sometimes the wait on them answering the phone is long, but on the other hand some people complain if they're in the store and a clerk picks up the phone while working the counter, so no matter what they do someone will gripe. The size of the store can be an issue sometimes since I often use a wheelchair, but I've been in bigger GameStop's where I had less room to maneuver because of the way displays are placed. On the other hand, it does mean that sometimes we end up going to stores in Fontana or Redlands to get something that the Rialto store doesn't have in stock. After asking him a few questions to find out he is only an ASST mgr. He argued that ASST and regular mgr are the same. If so, why his title is only "ASST?" His salary is less than a regular mgr. Jesus is too argumentative , provoking, combatant, and incapable of handling my issue; he has wasted my time. I had to repeat the same when the regular mgr is back. Just left the store. Went in with my boyfriend to buy a controller and 2 games. Coming in was up to standard, we were greeting upon coming in, we were asked if we needed help as we looked around. Towards the end after we finished taking a look at things, my bf hand been approached by one of the female employees to see if he needed assistance while I waited in line to purchase the 2 games, there was a man and his son being helped ahead of me so I patiently waited to be next. As the women helps to unlock a gaming controller for my boyfriend, she then decided to take it upon herself to further that great customer service with him by jumping him to the FRONT of the line completely cutting me. After she finished ringing him up only THEN did she finally continue onto helping me out. Little did she know that the guy she helped with actually there with me and needless to say.. I sure didn't stay quiet about what had just happened and I for sure let it be known exactly what she had just done and made sure she was embarrassed. That smile she had on her face sure did fade fast once I got done with her. After seeing the comments on this location, I'm actually not surprised by how the customer service is. Worst experience ever! If I could give them zero stars I would. I would not recommend this location! I went into the store to ask about a game my fiancé wanted for Christmas. I waited in line to simply ask a question for 20 minutes exactly. Not once did I get greeted by the only person working there, but when I finally got to ask her my question, she had a nasty attitude. Then she told me she didn't have the game at this particular location so she called the Colton location who kept her on hold for another 10 minutes. Finally, I was so fed up with the waiting that I said thank you and left. A little tip here, if your super busy and your the only worker, at least acknowledge other customers.
