My least favorite GameStop location and here's why. I've never had a particularly good experience with this location, and a lot of it has to do with the smell. More on that in a second. They either have a lot of the 'essential' popular products and ONLY said products as the store is so small, or very limited stock with more outdated or irrelevant products. The staff situation was pretty rough for a few months with rude employees and days where no one showed up to bother opening the store before they hired a new manager and roster of employees. Even then, the last time I visited I had to actively try to get the employee's attention at the register as he was too preoccupied with his phone to notice us, the only customers in the tiny store. For some reason, as mentioned earlier, there is always some odd smell in the store that they have yet to get rid of. Sometimes it smells like stale laundry and other times it smells like feet, but regardless of the smell-of-the-day it's always rank and extremely gross. The store is however consistently pretty organized, barring the behind the counter area which always seems to be a wreck. I actively try to avoid this location unless a friend drags me there for something while we're in the area. I dread going and would rather make the trip to a different location to avoid the odor alone. Save your nose. Visit a different GameStop. read more

If you're a collector you know how important it is to preorder collectibles. My boyfriend is an avid Funko Pop collector. When possible, he orders items preorder to avoid paying a premium for private re-sellers. We placed a presale order for the My Hero Academia box back in January from the store on Blanco. We were told that they would call when they had it. The Blanco location never called and each time we followed up, they said they didn't have it. The box was released Feb. 11. We went to this GameStop location and asked if they could fill the order. We were told to transfer the order to this location and that they would fill it. We transferred the order on March 2. Again, we didn't receive any calls. We went to check on it today and they said that they cancelled the order even though we paid the pre-order fee. We got conflicting stories - we were first told that a transfer was impossible and then we were told the transfer was cancelled. We never got our order from either location. The pre-order price was $30 and now it's going for $60 + from second hand sellers. We were extremely disappointed because we've been anticipating this Pop since January. read more

The set up at every gamestop is pretty much the same. What sets this particular location apart in my opinion is the customer service. I've been to a few other locations around town and more often that not the staff is too busy talking about their own gaming opinions to each other rather than helping the customer. This however is not the case for this particular gamestop. The guys inside are always very helpful and attentive. I've had great experiences here and will go to this location even if I'm closer to another store. The peeps do a great job. I'd def recommend going to this location. read more

This location is like any gametop in means of layout and all of that, but what I HATE about this place is a lady I am assuming is the manager runs through a book of a script. It is honestly to the point that it annoys me to the degree I will stop by, see that she is there, turn around and go home and buy the game on the PSN even though I will be stuck with it. I buy games at least once a week and I have made friendships with the other employees so I know that they take trades... I know that I can reserve games.... I know they have a credit card.... I know my subscription is expiring in three months.... no I do not wanna renew it three months early.... Yes I know you have a survey.... And whatever she decides to tag on at the end. AND THE WORST is the fact that the stupid "policy" is screw the phone, worry about the customer. I have been there asking about something about a headset or something of the like or another customer and the phone just rings and rings and rings. I have called before to confirm stock of a game or something and NEVER get answer that causes me to get buy online. I was the store a few days ago and had a really horrible experience. I was looking through their selection of their ps4 games and it was a little busier than normal for this location, and the way the manager was talking to her crew was unacceptable. There is a time and place for yelling at employees, but in the middle of a transaction was absolutely unprofessional. I think her name was sarah, but the way she kicked off one of the male associates IN THE MIDDLE OF A TRANSACTION was unacceptable. Perhaps instead of goofing off on the floor and spending the whole time talking random stuff, the manager should be training her employees properly how she wants the store run. In my opinion she might not be ready for this position. She was flustered from head to toe and then to yell at her employees because they weren't moving fast enough to her liking? This location has 2 registers. How fast does she expect them to be, what with people trading in games and then people buying stuff? Lines tend to form and yes, people may get irritated at standing in line but at least they are taking care of the customers that they are dealing with in a nice say. And to kick an employee off just really makes me mad. She should have been there training him if he wasn't up to her standards. I can say I'm never going back go this gamestop and if any of my friends are looking for are gamestop job I'm going to tell them to avoid this one unless they want to get talked down to and yelled at. read more

These guys know their stuff! They are not there to just sell you the new game. If you ask the salesman his opinion on a game he will tell you straight up whether it is a piece of c**p or not. The manager Rick is the nicest and most helpful salesguy I've ever met. This type of customer service you will not find at one of those big box stores. read more

The first man I had to deal with really had no clue what a good game was, he knew nothing unless he was standing behind the computer.
