Getting this activity 'on the books' was more than aggravating, to say the least. The tasting tour…read moresays that to text them is a quicker option for response to inquiries (for them.) It most definitely didn't seem that way! They DID get back to me via text, but it wasn't in a quick fashion. I'd say an semi-acceptable fashion (within 8-12 hours.) Regardless, we DID get our event scheduled for a private tour with (15 people.) It was quite an expensive 'private tour' of the night of lights that was explained to me as tho the grinch (driving one trolly) and Santa (driving another trolly) would interact with one another (more than minimally) and make the tour exclusive to all 15 of us. They would hop off one trolly and interact with the passengers of the other trolly, etc. In reality, it was NOT a collective tour. The grinch separated from the other trolly and it was essentially two separate tours. Approximately 3-4 times they interacted with one another (acting as tho one would hit the other's trolly, yelling insults at Santa, responding to the grinch, and stopping at the 'duck bar' for the ambush together.) The address to initially meet at is kind of hard to find, even with GPS, as well! There is NO indication of 'the tasting tours' business name on the store front at the address. It is a Cuban bakery.' YES, we all had a good time.... But I don't want the rest of you that book a 'private' tour to be mislead or pay for something you won't receive. *** I also find it distasteful that the company charges an unprecedented amount of money for the trolly rides and then has the audacity to send an email asking for further tip for the trolly drivers.*** Whether a patron tips or not is up to them, not a business owner requesting it!

Let me be perfectly clear…read more.. I don't think many people have enough widespread experience to write a review about an ENTIRE STATE! There are people who have lived in a state their entire lives and don't know much about any of it other than where they live. Others have visited a small area once or thrice, say Disney World for example, and have not experienced any other parts of the state, so they can't speak for any other areas. It is for this reason I feel totally authorized to give an opinion on the State of Florida! Florida is practically a second home. Not only do we have family and friends that we visit often in all parts of the state, we just like going for fun! I've literally been to every corner of the state, driven most every interstate completely from south to north and have experienced a wide range of activities, cultures and foods. I'm here to tell you Florida is AMAZING! Florida is 22nd in size, but the 2nd largest state east of the Mississippi @ 65,758 sq. miles. However, Florida has the 3rd largest population of ALL states, even beating out New York! GEOGRAPHY - All states have ECOREGIONS and many correlate with bordering states. Florida has many, but basically fall into these categories: East Gulf Coast Plain, South Atlantic Coastal Plain, The Peninsula, South Florida Plain (where the Everglades are found). FUN FACT: Florida's highest natural point is Britton Hill, which is only 345 feet above sea level. It is the lowest "high point" of any state! Grandma can get to the top of it without breaking a sweat... LOL ----- The cities and towns I've actually spent time in include: Key West, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Port St. Lucy, Jupiter, Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, Ormond Beach, St. Augustine, Jacksonville, Deltona, Sanford, Orlando, Kissimmee, Lake Buena Vista, Sarasota, Bradenton, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Tampa, Odessa, Tarpon Springs, New Port Richey, Crystal River, Tallahassee, Apalachicola, Panama City Beach, Destin, and Pensacola... as well as stopped at many more places as we drove through like Gainesville, Ocala, Marineland, and DeLand. We've even driven the 80 mile Alligator Alley through the Everglades! NOTE: There are NO gas stations, so fill up or you will fill a gator up! Here is a condensed version of my favorite features: [ FAVORITE PLACES / ACTIVITIES ] MARINELAND - Swimming with the dolphins CRYSTAL RIVER - Swimming with the manatee TARPON SPRINGS - Dolphin Tours DISNEY SPRINGS - Atmosphere / restaurants ST. Amazing nature can be found here as well as delicious food! Hit the road and explore it, you won't be disappointed! 2022 / 18

And I wasn't wrong! The tour lasted about 90 minutes (and it leaves promptly FYI) and takes you along the shoreline of Amelia Island - past the shrimping boats and past a Civil War era fort - before heading towards Cumberland Island National Seashore. This is where the true fun of the tour was for me. I had no idea really the history of the island and found it fascinating how the Carnegies and Rockefellers and more of the country's elite used this random Georgia seashore as their private escape. The history of both Cumberland and Amelia Islands is incredibly fascinating and the guides for both the Florida and Georgia sides respectively were well informed and personable. Plus - you'll very likely see a ton of great wildlife throughout including dolphins and wild horses and pigs. It's a great way to spend an afternoon in the area and a fabulous introduction to Cumberland Island National Seashore/Park.

While we are familiar with the city, it was really interesting to have the context of history to frame our knowledge. We arrived 15 minutes before our tour, and our guide Toni was waiting for us. The tuktuk was ready with a cooler filled with champagne, sangria and water (that we ordered as add-ons to our tour). She gave us a set of headphones and a speaker we could wear around our necks, so we could hear her narration clearly over the traffic. Our two hour tour was chock full of sights and sites! Toni was fun, knowledgeable and engaging. We had plenty of opportunities to comments, ask questions, and even get out of the vehicle to take photos or admire certain locations. We cannot WAIT to take another tour (or three!) Highly recommend - this is a fun date for couples, families, or friends!
