Recently, we used their service again for my maternal grandfather. Everything was as I remembered (previous time was 2020), and the service and hospitality for us was great. Once again, we used the space of the chapel to hold the service for my grandfather and when it was time, the gentlemen closed the casket with sincerity and respect. Overall, I highly recommend this place for cremation services. The pricing was very fair for what we wanted for a 6 hour Open Casket Viewing and the service is top notch.

Each time I've called, I've specifically said I would pay the balance, and been told I didn't need to. So apparently the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing at Oakmont, and we are stuck in the middle.

My dad lost his battle with cancer, and saying goodbye to him was the hardest experience I have ever faced. Priscilla handled all of the cemetery arrangements, while George managed the funeral, church, and burial services with incredible compassion and professionalism. During a time filled with grief, stress, and uncertainty, George and Priscilla were a source of comfort and guidance. They made a very difficult process feel seamless and treated our family with kindness, dignity, and genuine care every step of the way. They far exceeded our expectations, and I truly don't know what we would have done without them. Queen of Heaven is a beautiful and peaceful cemetery nestled in the foothills of Lafayette. The grounds are serene and impeccably maintained, and the chapel is one of the most beautiful cemetery churches I have ever seen. Knowing my dad rests in such a special place brings our family comfort. I was also told they offer a monthly Saturday memorial service to honor and remember loved ones who have recently passed. As Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on my dad's life and the impact cancer has on so many families. This month, I completed a cycling fundraiser to help raise awareness and support the fight against cancer in memory of my dad and for all those who have passed away or continue to battle this disease. It reminded me how precious life truly is. What I've learned through this journey is simple: if there are things you've always wanted to do, places you've wanted to see, or people you've wanted to spend time with, do it now. Don't wait. During a recent service for my cousin, I learned that the business is now owned and operated by a Black family!! That alone speaks volumes, and it adds an even deeper level of appreciation for the experience they provide. The staff is incredibly professional and attentive. Donald, (I believe is his name) one of the directors, has always been helpful and supportive. During this most recent service, I also interacted with the current owners, who were kind, welcoming, and very hands-on in making sure everything was handled with care. I observed the team throughout the process -- from the initial arrangements to the day of service -- and everything was handled with respect and organization. The young man assisting with transportation was professional and well-presented, and the staff ensured the funeral procession was smooth and coordinated. Every car was accounted for, and the line remained intact all the way to the cemetery at Rolling Hills. What stands out most is their approach: they are empathetic without being overwhelming, and they do not pressure families or try to upsell services during an already difficult time. Instead, they offer options and allow families to make decisions comfortably. The decor is a bit dated, which I understand is from previous ownership, but I did overhear that updates are planned. Regardless, the level of service far outweighs aesthetics. Overall, this is a funeral home that leads with compassion, professionalism, and integrity.
