The strawberries, greens, and everything else were very fresh and delicious, and I loved the homemade strawberry vinaigrette which wasn't too thick and not watery at all, just a little tangy and not too sweet. The vibe of the place is pretty fun with a free vintage motorcycle museum to walk around a bit in. I took a couple laps around the room before headed out. During the good weather months they have outdoor seating too, which helps to accommodate more parties. But this is not the place to bring large groups. Of course you come for the biscuits. They offer "first come, first serve" cinnamon roll biscuits but as we were in the late brunch crowd, they were sold out. So we settled on The Messy to split but my son didn't like the granola on top BUT that also didn't stop him from shoving a 1/4 biscuit in his mouth at a time. I got the smoked salmon omelette, small portion, very little salmon, tiny scoop of potatoes. Good flavor, but for the price and the amount of food you get, I'm not sure we will ever come back. I definitely don't recommend going out of your way to come here, because you may be very disappointed like we were. We came on a weekday morning, no waiting list needed, and were seated immediately. Promising start. Then we waited ten minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, in a restaurant that was not crowded and appeared to be well staffed. This is not a one time observation. The gap between being seated and actually being served has been a recurring theme across multiple visits, and at some point a pattern stops being a coincidence and starts being a logistics problem that needs fixing. When the food finally arrived it reminded me exactly why I keep giving this place another chance. The crepes with berries and mascarpone were delicate and well executed, though the kitchen could afford to be more generous with both the berry sauce and the mascarpone. The portion is on the modest side, which worked fine for me personally but may leave hungrier diners wanting more. The traditional omelet was the star of the visit, specifically the jalapeño wrapped in bacon that comes with it. It was exceptional and the kind of detail that shows real kitchen creativity. My only complaint is that there is only one. There should be at least two. The cinnamon roll is enormous, which is its own form of commitment, but the dough ran a little dry this visit compared to previous experiences. An off day perhaps, but worth noting. Three stars, and every one of them belongs to the kitchen. Sort out the service flow and this place jumps immediately.
