To my surprise, I found an excellent FREE parking spot that was just outside. There is no parking lot. My primary reason to visit was to return a pair of pants. Representative was friendly & polite. Although immaculately organized and cleaned interior, there weren't a lot of my style clothes. I'm more of a tomboy. Looking through a stack of t-shirts, all the sizes ranged from XS on the top to XL on the bottom. It's rare that I see that arrangement anymore! UGH. Just UGH. As an active bargain/outlet shopper, I must say I was really disappointed in my visit here today. First of all, it's in the HOOD. Well, for being new to the city, this area seemed pretty ghetto to me and maybe others can attest. The selection for men was lacking this time around, and of the things I really liked they ended up being "regular" price. I'll agree that the displays were clean and neat, but don't expect any customer service. I was starting to think that all the employees had to be mute as NONE had asked if I needed assistance as they walked by and the fitting room attendant didn't say one word as I walked in. This might be dangerous - only 10 minutes from my new house & it's a really nice store. Easy street parking with plenty of cross street options. The store was super well organized and stocked with Women's, Men's & Kids sections under one roof. Plenty of fitting rooms, too. Yes, it's not quite the regular Gap quality and definitely not the same fit as the jeans. I've never had luck with Gap Outlet jeans but their shirts and sweaters always provide lots of options and they also have cute accessories. I have shopped at this location for years it is literally my favorite location however on yesterday 05/16/2021. I received the WORST customer service ever!!! My husband and I were in the store with our children and we were at the register being serviced by a very pleasant employee. There were no other customers in the line at 1st. Then a lady stood in the line and the employee who was off to the side folding shirts asked the lady if she was ready to be rung up and the lady said yes. The employee then turns to my 2 children and says "I'm going to need for you guys to move away from my register so that I can ring up this customer." I then turned to the employee and let her know that her comment was rude and inappropriate if she needed for my kids to move she simply could have said excuse me. She then shrugs her shoulders, smirks and ignored me. I then stated that the appropriate thing for her to do was to apologize and she laughed, so I requested to speak to the manager. I told him about the situation and he was very apologetic even offering me a 50.00 credit on my $366.21 purchase. For that I am grateful however there definitely needs to be additional training of this employee. If this is the new way of customer service at this location I definitely will not continue to be a gap customer!!! read more

The place is organized and at the time of this visit they had a sale. Looked for some clothes for a gift and they were easy to find. Was not offered any help, did get what I wanted and as for the checkout, it was fast. In Chicago either you pay 7 cents for a bag or bring your own bag. just so you know. It's actually pretty big with a good selection of baby clothes. Why the 1 star? Because when I was waiting in line, the middle aged white woman who was working as the cashier refused to let a latino mother with her two kids use the washroom. When the latino woman told her that she had been shopping there, the cashier told her that she was lying. When I told the cashier that I had seen the woman shopping in the store, I was told that it was none of my business. The cashier then told the mother (in front of her kids!) to leave the store and called for security. Needless to say, I didn't buy anything and I will not return. Best case scenario is that there is some awful customer service. The worst case scenario is there is some discrimination going on. There are too many other places I'd rather spend my money. read more

First of all, everything in here is discounted. I think most of their clothing is either "damaged" (I used to work at the Gap and that usually just means the tag is incorrect or missing) or not purchased at the regular Gap stores and then they move in to this space. That being said, if I can get an awesome argyle cardigan for 50% less than it is sold in the store, that is AMAZING. The cardigans were super cute and cheap, the denim was cheap (and some of it was 50% off), and my sandals were only $7. That's almost Old Navy cheap but these are so much better quality. When I entered, I expected this place to be as disorganized as a TJ Maxx or something, but it was so much better. Everything was nicely laid out, faced and folded to look great. It was easy to find everything and the selection was pretty large. Don't expect to be able to find a large variety of things here (they don't carry as much as regular Gap stores) but it's still great for what this place is. read more

Ok so the trick with the Gap Outlet in Logan Square is to hit it on a weekday morning or afternoon - before it's torn apart by mobs, before it's overrun with unwatched children, before the clothes are on the floor as much as they're on the hangers and shelves. Do that, and you are bound to find some of the most amazing deals you have ever, ever seen. The cutest sundresses for 60% off ($13). Boxers for dudes or sleeping girls for $5. Jeans for $10-20. Not everything is on sale, but the majority of it is, even the newer items. The place is amazing. It has your staples like tank tops, t-shirts, shorts and jeans but it also has great little finds like that *one* top you've always needed to go with that one skirt you bought a year ago but never found the right one to go. Honestly, the place looks like a bomb hit it more often than not. It is certainly the poor-girl's Gap, but this poor girl is so, so into it. read more

Everything I bought today was 50% off: a pair of jeans, definitely hard to find for my (ahem) curvaciousness and a pair of relaxed khaki cargo pants, and a scarf all for $50! The only con: not enough product. They could use more for women, but what they do have is well organized and not all wind blown around the store, as if a tornado had come through. The Gap Outlet can be hit or miss in regard to finding deals. Certainly some of the items are overpriced, which I don't even bother to look at. Today I got: 2 dresses 1 purse 1 sports bra 7 shirts 9 camisoles / tank tops for $160. Though they are sometimes under-staffed the employees are very friendly and helpful. Be sure to use your AAA card for a discount! This outlet is, as everyone has said, really overpriced. Yes, a maxi dress for $80 at 40% seems like a great deal, but you could probably have a better selection by going to Target and a better deal shopping at Old Navy for the types of items they sell here. Every time I come in, someone is making a long return- seriously, it's happened every single time (5 times!) I've visited. Someone is either doing a long price check or they're returning a bunch of kids clothes and there's only one cashier working. There isn't a huge selection of stuff here but if you get on the marketing list you can use an Outlet friendly coupon, your AAA card or try and snag a good sale. It's always hit or miss what's there but you can get some staples (like undershirts) cheap... accessories are never a good deal here. read more

4 stars because I've always been a fan of this outlet for several reasons. Reason #1 probably because it's so close to me and convenient. Reason #2 is that it's a great place to stock up on basics such as t's and tanks. It's always been hit or miss - that hasn't changed. I've usually experienced great customer service but not today... The store was stocked with great stuff, but the signs were messed up. One example of many is baby girl dresses right next to one another - one sign read "dresses 30% off" and the sign next to it read "dresses 40% off." Well, which is it? Again, one example out of many. Back in the day when I worked at the Gap, if a sign was in the wrong place, we had to give it to the customer at the signage price... well, that must have changed. Instead, I find a skirt that had a sign that read "20% off" only to have it not ring up that way. The woman who checked me out acted as if I was lying when I told her it was 20% off. She said, that's not what it's ringing up as. I said, fine, I don't want it. As I was leaving the store, I looked and indeed I was right, the sign was there; I hadn't imagined it. I pointed it out to her and without saying a word to me she marched over to see for herself. I left. Don't act like I'm the idiot and can the attitude. read more

If you are looking for very basic clothing this is the place. When I say basic, I mean solid colors, no patterns, no flair - just down and dirty basic t-shirts, long sleeves and jeans. There are barely any accessories here, just a few flats and small selection of belts. Prices were reasonable, $12 for plain long sleeve t-shirt, $18 for a turtleneck. Not many "business" clothes here at all, more casual everyday stuff. I casually glanced at the kids stuff and it looked like they had a fair amount of selection there too. read more

I love outlet stores. I love signs that say 40% and 50% off marked prices and I really, really love Gap sweaters. I am at home in a cardigan and I find a lot of them here. I LIKE that the customer service here is nonexistent . It's far better than having a salesperson in your face and the just a little bit out of the way location makes it so that all the good stuff isn't picked over immediately. They have ridiculously awesome sale prices after Thanksgiving up until the new year. Oh yes... and it really, really ruled that they still carried the Grass, Dream and Om Gap perfumes and candles long after the regular Gap stores switched from them to really, really crappy scents. I used to go to a massive Gap Outlet in Grove City, PA at the start of every school year. Since I moved to Chicago, I knew there had to be one around here somewhere, though I figured I'd have to go to the suburbs. Thankfully, the good gods of discount shopping placed a Gap Outlet smack dab in the middle of Logan Square, a really bizarre place to find one. This place, like most outlet stores, is very hit or miss. They don't have the great selection of jeans that my former location did, nor do they have a lot of things that look like they were actually part of a recent Gap collection (anything that isn't totally nondescript like t-shirts looks like it's a relic from '95 or so). Still, they have great deals on essentials like tank tops and t-shirts in the summer, and every so often there'll be a cute skirt or two available for quite cheap. The mens section seems to be better than the womens section; there are tons of 2-for and 3-for deals on shirts, pants, and the like. read more

We made a purchase and my daughter had to use the restroom and they refused to let us use the one in the store, so we had to walk down the street to find a bathroom. Oh Gap Outlet, I keep coming back because I want this relationship to work, but I can't continue to be treated this way. Why am I ending our love affair? 1. Cheap material-it's like the clothes are made especially for the outlet store. I have frayed sweaters, irregular fitting pants, thin, see-thru t-shirts. The quality of the clothing is a step below Old Navy. 2. Unhelpful staff. I know you work at an outlet store, but come on. 3. Confusing signs-some stuff isn't on sale at all, some stuff is and if you go at a certain time there's an additional 40%, but none of the stuff is clearly marked so it's always a surprise when you get to the counter. But in the last ten? years this place has lost any sort of style and contemporarity. Especially since the emergence of Forever 21 and the US invasion of Hennes and Mauritz (H&M) there is no excuse for a store to still sell crappy fashion. I'm not proud to admit it, but....nothing makes me feel more smug than getting a shirt for $2.99 that some other sucker paid full price for mere months ago. It's like I'm the Stephen Hawking of bargain-hunting for a few hours or something-- I can't help it. Suffice it to say, I was happier than a pig in slop to find this Gap Outlet so close to my apartment. I was in desperate need of some jeans, and considering I owe Peoples Gas my arm/leg/first born, the fancy jeans will have to wait. I entered Gap and almost went into sale blackout mode: sale signs everywhere, 30% off of this! take an extra 75% off of that! buy one get 12 free! I perused the sale jeans expecting greatness and.....promptly came up empty handed. Alas, their selection of sizes consisted of either sz 2 long or sz 16 ankle...of which I wear neither. 'Twas the same story with shirts (XXXL or baby-sized). Curses! Anyhow, with the skills of a bloodhound I dug through piles of clothes til I found one (1!) pair of jeans in my size, priced at 15 bucks! Umm yes please. I guess if you really want a steal and don't wear a size on either polar end of the spectrum, expect to have to dig. I don't know why everyone doesn't shop here. Honestly. What's not to love about $10 Gap T's and V necks? $35 jeans? I got a jean jacket for $20 here just a few month ago and many large comfy wonderful sweaters for $40 or less. In general I think I would paid at LEAST twice those prices at the regular Gap right by my work on Mich Ave. I've been shopping here 15 years now and for me everything wears as just as well as my regular Gap clothes - I don't see the difference. Just last week I was wearing a huge cozy cardigan "sweater-coat" I bought there over 10 years ago and probably paid $30 for (before the Great Depression hit us; now that sweater-coat would be $45 at the same place). And I got the best compliment on it - yep 10 years later. I bought a pair of verrrry cute black and white gladiator style sandals for $6 about 3 or 4 years ago. I'm still wearing them and I'm STILL getting compliments on them. It's ridiculous. Sometimes there is a TON of great stuff and other times "the pickins are slim" and you can NEVER predict when it'll be one way or the other. Esp on weekends it can be packed with lotsa tiny kids running around and crying (think Laundromat) and a looong line at the register (bring your internet enabled phone for the wait). So I prefer to go on a Friday night after work when most ppl are home eating pizza and watching movies :) They take credit cards. Parking is on Milwaukee at meters and yes you have to pay otherwise you're driving for hours trying to find a 'free spot' - pay the meter it is so much easier. NO BATHROOM! Don't even ask if there's a bathroom - 15 years later they still tell me "the Dunkins Donuts across the street has one". Um yeah but it's really almost a good City block away AND you have to wait to get the bathroom key from the clerk, AND that requires waiting until someone else has chosen and purchased all their donuts AND hopefully after your brisk walk and waiting time, you have not already peed yourself. Get me? All in all tho, a bargain hunter's paradise. I love you Gap Outlet!! read more

I hate to use this word, but CHEAP. Not in quality, but in price. I had gotten $100 in gift cards to The Gap, and having never shopped there because it tends to be a bit more expensive than my budget allows (as I usually like to buy a lot in one trip), so I looked to see if I could find an outlet, or else I'd be stuck buying from Old Navy. This place showed up on my google search, so I went with my wife, and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was helpful, the deals were absurd ($24 flat front khakis, $4 boxers, $3 t-shirts, $20 dress shirts). The cashier asked if we'd be interested in opening a credit card to take 20% off (even with the bulk going on my gift cards). The wife ran and grabbed a cardigan and brought back which was essentially free thanks to the 20% off. It's not in the best area, and not always the easiest place to get to, but worth the trip. Easiest way is blue line to logan square and walk to diversey up milwaukee, or take the diversey bus west to milwaukee. read more

Pants and jeans and sweaters, oh my! On the real, though, this place is a goldmine for outrageously inexpensive threads for work and play. Well, mostly work. Isn't that why the vast majority of us shop at the Gap? For business casual work gear? Armed with a $100 Gap gift card and the will to spend it, I headed to Logan Square in hopes of scoring some new stuff to sport at the office. I'm talking super boring stuff like turtleneck sweaters, pinstriped dress pants, maybe a cardigan or two. Nothing crazy. Nothing flashy. Just some basics for the winter. If that's what you're looking for, that's what you'll find at this Gap Outlet. The location is bigger than I imagined and fairly well organized. Actually, scratch that. The tops are well organized. The bottoms? Good luck! You'll have to hunt and peck through racks of pants that have no rhyme or reason. Size 12 black cords live next to size 2 khakis that are having and affair with the size 6 gray dress plants. It's a bit of a clusterfuck, but if you don't mind pawing through the racks to find your size and desired style, its not a huge deal. In the end, I came out with a huge bag full of work stuff. Ready for the run-down? For the total price of $114 I scored 2 turtleneck sweaters, 1 cardigan, 1 pair of dress pants, 1 pair of ballet flats, 1 basic black scarf and 3/4 sleeve gold shirt. I don't care who you are or where you're from, all of that loot for just over a hundy? It's a steal! read more

The concept of outlet shopping usually gives me, as Andy would say, a chubby. But this Gap Outlet was lame. The prices were no lower than the sale rack of a regular Gap store. Example -- on their "clearance" rack a $32 sweater cost $28. Oh please. Clearance means half price or pretty close to, people. I looked in men's, women's, boys' and girls' and found nothing tempting. read more

Boy, was I disappointed. I usually go to the outlet stores in Aurora and Kenosha, so this was my first time at this particular outlet. The selection is bad, the quality is worse, and the prices are "eh". Some of their jeans didn't feel like denim at all, but some super-cheap material that wasn't soft to the touch. I usually buy my pants at Gap because they fit well, the pants here were ill-fitting. Corduroy feel very thin and cheap, as did their kakhi pants. I have never had this problem at the outlet stores in Aurora or Kenosha, so I don't know if this is a new thing for all the outlet stores or just this one. read more
