I've always loved The Gap starting with my favorite (now long gone) sweatshirt I got back in the 80's. I still have a Kelly green raincoat my mom and I shared from back in '89. Crazy but true. And it might be basic, but I love The Gap. Solid construction, soft fabrics, lots of cotton. If you're having "power surges" aka hot flashes it is so important to have breathable fabric, am I right? Today I stopped at the outlet to see what was on the racks. You have to walk a ways so be prepared. Those who use mobility aids need to be aware of the cobblestone like streets that abut the sidewalks leading to your destination. The accessibility of the mall could use some improvement. There are no restrooms in stores in the outlet, but I've had the unfortunate experience of using the public facilities here and 109% do not recommend. Isolated, remote, creepy. However, on to the Gap here. They have had a nice refresh/remodel since I was here a couple years ago, but I was a bit lost at first. The new light and bright dressing rooms are an asset. Staff circulating on the sales floor were helpful and asked if I needed help or a tote to carry my try-ons several times. I tried on about 12 items and hit success with 4 so, a nice 33.3% success rate. I hit the jackpot in their clearance racks- snagged a beautiful gauze summer dress, a sky blue blue button down, a western- type denim shirt with snaps, and a super soft ringer T for a mere $4. The total with tax came to $80. They have ample seasonal selections for women, kids, and men. They also have deep discounts on non seasonal items- I saw some adorable trench and puffer coats so keep your eyes out. They offer a good selection in extended sizes- I wear an XL or XXL and they always gave ample offerings, not an afterthought. Check-out was smooth. Overall a fun little trip to get some new favorites. I don't know if they'll last as long as the raincoat from the 80's, but here's hoping! read more

Surprisingly, this store is very clean and organized. More importantly they have a bunch of size small items, thank god! The prices are much cheaper than a regular Gap store. The sales are amazing! Great selection and everything is organized by type of clothing. Not only do they have a great selection of women's and men's clothing, but they also have baby clothing!!! I highly advise anyone thinking of ordering clothing from the gap factory, don't! I've now tried a couple of times and the sizes are always wrong. It's a huge mess trying to return anything and then you have to wait more than 30 days to have your card credited. Frustrating and just not worth it. read more

Gap outlet their clothing especially the faux leather coat or skirt or anything related to faux leather, their color comes off and transfer to another clothing and made the other clothing all that color. All I did was hang them right next to my white jacket and my white jacket has all spotted black color on it. I bought a faux leather jacket and a faux leather skirt, both of their color came off and transfer to my white jacket. I am so mad!!!! That means their faux leather material is CRAP!!!!!!! read more

It's become very apparent that due to my treatment in the store and their advertising demographics that I am no longer welcome or relevant to The Gap and their product lines. Rude treatment, single threaded line of clothing and attire, and a definite attitude towards me and my "kind" tells me we are no longer welcome. And so that's fine, I can spend my money on other brands and stores where I'm respected and appreciated. read more

Store was well stocked but overstuffed, so social distancing was challenging when shopping. Good selection of jeans, dresses and sweats. Some items had great discounts and they carried lots of cute face masks for adults and children. Dressing room employee was not very helpful and I had to ask her multiple times for assistance in getting a different size. read more

I don't understand why the gap doesn't utilize being in San Francisco at least half of your items should say San Francisco somewhere on it also just like Old Navy when you go here you'll notice this weird corporate presence you could tell these people don't shop at the gap, maybe their maid does. The corporate stiffs also stand in the doorway as if the just left walmart... it's a weird energy here again I don't understand why they don't utilize being in San Francisco what about a shirt that says the gap San Francisco with the Golden Gate bridge on it anything I don't understand their clientele. The clothes at a normal Gap store are usually overpriced for shoddy merchandise, but their selection and convenience has won over many a casual shopper like myself. So when I discovered there was a Gap outlet in Folsom with even cheaper prices I got really excited. Despite the many bargain basement deals, the selection here is usually limited so that when I do find something I like it isn't in my size. I recall spending most of my last visit searching for a collared shirt that was displayed on a mannequin but otherwise out of stock. I keep visiting periodically and occasionally discover that one great find at one great price. That makes it all worth it. read more

Love the jackets. It was really messy when I got in, but it's the Christmas season and I know people can get crazy scrounging for deals and going through racks. I thought it was cool that they had deals from 20, 30, 40----all the way to 80%. The coats are nice and who knows, you might find a cool gift for someone or for yourself. The jackets are absolutely cool. I saw this really nice classy stylish trench coat at the window display. Couldn't find it in the store. read more

They do carry "tall" pants, but unfortunaly their version of tall does not include me. Maybe I should start shopping for "giraffe" sizes... However, if you are of a more normal height, you'll find a good selection of casual, career, and denim pants that giraffes like me can only dream of. So, please....enjoy! On to the good news: they have a great selection of simple tops: tees, sweaters, thermals- nice and boring, the way I like it. No really, that's a compliment coming for me. If you're looking for casual tops in a rainbow of colors, this is your place, and they're usually on sale for a fair price. they do have some styles that are a little more exciting, and sometimes They're cute, but I usually come here for my staple items like tees and sweaters. read more

This is easily my favorite Gap store. Always well stocked with items that are heavily discounted and lots of things that are only available at the outlet. And unlike most of their stores, the jeans here actually go on sale. My bestie got a pair of their legging jeans yesterday for $35! And I restocked my cardigans for only $16 each! The store had a lot of selections and good sales but I got ripped off! Bought a pack of white socks priced with white tag at $14.99 and there's an additional 25% off so should be around $11.25 but to my surprise when we got home and looked underneath the original price it was $12.99! So they charged $14.99 and I paid $11.25 instead of $12.99 paying $9.75. What a rip off! That ain't no outlet price. Lol .Check your sales and original tags people! read more

Unfortunately, this location is almost always unkempt; it looks like a small army of 2-year-olds were given free reign for 10 minutes before I walked in the store. Particularly in the check-out line area. The deals on cheap fitness gear keep me coming back: yoga pants, tops, running shorts, etc. I also picked up a few pair of cute brightly colored crops that I wouldn't have normally purchased elsewhere because they were such a steal. Woot. These unpredictable deals keep me peeking my head in occasionally to see what I might find. Overall: not worth a separate trip up to the outlets, but if you're already there, check it out. read more

I generally regard GAP as the brand of choice should I ever turn into a very preppy box. You see, everything seems to lack a waistline and has a generally square shape. People who love Gap also tend to have a generally square shape. But, they had some cheap jeans and I bought a pair for a guy I know, as men are generally more box-like than myself. Definitely prefer to shop here over the regular Gap, the prices are so cheap compared. I'm not sure how the merchandise in the outlet works, but I've been told they carry what they carried in the regular Gap a year earlier. Works for me, I don't mind wearing last year's fashions, as they're pretty much the same. They always have great deals here. You'll find a lot of things at 30-40% off, and they're already reduced, so I quite often get shirts for under $10 and pants for under $20. They're always helpful and friendly and seem to have everything organized and well-stocked. read more

This review goes to the employee who I did not get his name, but was the first that I have seen in a long time take care of his store. I was trying on clothes and three changing rooms down two or three kids were screaming and banging on the walls. As usual parenting was non-existent. The two employees that were working the changing room continued working, but another male employee came over and told the kids that they needed to lower their voices because this was a business. The parent seemed embarrassed and jumped to the side of the worker telling the kids that they needed to settle down. PROPS TO YOU! I will definitely shop there again! read more

I used to go to the Gap inside of the mall on occasion only to walk right back out because I could never find anything. I found their selection to be limited and way too overpriced. So, when I saw the Gap outlet, I was a little hesitant, thinking it would much of the same thing. But, I was pleased to discover how different the outlet is from the actual store. To begin with, the Gap outlet store is huge! Second, their selection is vast. Third, their prices are unbelievably good! They almost always have some type of sale going on and if you subscribe to them via e-mail, they'll constantly e-mail you coupons that you can use if you have a Gap/Banana card. You rack up points pretty quickly by using the GAP card, too; they repay you by sending you $10 coupons that actually work as cash, since there's no minimum purchase price required in order to use them. The quality of their clothes is pretty solid, too. I've washed my clothes from there numerous times and the quality is still up to par, never once having fallen apart yet throughout the past few years I've had these same articles of clothing. Over the years, the Gap outlet has also improved their clothes. By this I mean that they actually have cute, stylish clothes, as opposed to in the past where I used to find their clothes to be horribly drab and unattractive. I can almost always walk into the Gap outlet now and find at least a few items that I really like. My philosophy is, why pay more at the same store in the mall when you can come to their outlet, instead? Sure, their clothes might be considered, "out of style," by some fashion guru and that's why they've made it to the outlets but to the average person like you and I, you're really paying for the same thing you would at the mall but at a fraction of the cost. read more

Service here is pretty awful. First, they had this Style Cash where if you buy $50 of items, you get a $25 back. BUT they didn't really put a disclaimer that you need to spend $50 before taxes to redeem the $25 coupon on their store posters (by the mirror, fitting rooms, etc) . You basically spend $75 to get the free $25. There was this one lady who had like more than $500 in Style Cash probably. It was sad to see her being ganged up by the 2 cashiers. They're not even kindly trying to explain how it works. They just said "oh, can't do this. Okay so we have $400 here, we can only use these" blah blah blah. I was with my boyfriend and I was telling him, "this isn't worth the headache." I know how retail can so awful for employees but please. Good thing I found a nice dress for myself. *** 5 stars *** I would give them 6 stars if I could specifically for the customer service! I had an unfortunate incident happen "Black Friday" morning. It was my 1st time in getting out there the day after Thanksgiving - well worth it I may add, and I didn't run into ONE rude consumer in the 8 hours of shopping around. All the horror stories I have heard have lost their significance. Maybe Folsom is just friendly? =) I won't go into what happened specifically with my situation, but I will say this morning I called GAP and explained it to them and the assistant manager, Kirk, spent 40 minutes on the phone with me, helping me get it resolved. I got off the phone with a big smile on my face and took the time to call GAP's customer relations to give them the following feedback: "Your store in folsom exudes EXCELLENT customer service!! I am so impressed with the professionalism and patience I experienced this morning." I LOVE LOVE LOVE good customer service - EXCELLENT customer service is unfortunately almost unheard of. I went in today and was not greeted nor helped on, finally picked up the one item I needed only to be never waited on or acknowledged by any check out clerk. Two people working registers and not one to say we'll be with you or it will just be a moment, the one Caucasian thin tall male with glasses walked away after checking out two female customers, I had been there waiting and watching them, while the female Hispanic employee tried to explain to the other customer the coupon 4x's, at this point the guy literally leaves the counter and walks away, I asked the other clerk where he was going? Her response... I don't know! Well I'm still in line while the other customer is now asking for a manager, I'm still waiting and asked her to call for help, she stands there working on the register and still not calling anyone, I ask again, please call someone, this is getting ridiculous, he should of helped me, the Hispanic clerk says I was the only one in line, well if you know that help the last customer before you leave, I would think this is common sense instead of leaving the customer waiting. By now I have asked for a manager, she said the gentleman was the manager, so on top of waiting I was ditched by a manager and now two managers arrive and I explain how rude the clerk was and now she's giving a smirk on her face and being condescending, as I explain the bad customer service she continues to be a smart mouth and say I was the only one in line, I remind her she had been with the same customer since I had gotten in line, she's still smirking and rolls her eyes, how dumb and ridiculous does one have to be to see this employee hates her job and doesn't value being there, please put her in the stock room where she doesn't have to be around human interaction. I hope corporate or the manager I spoke to sees this and she's reprimanded. I don't have a problem with their prices. it's really reasonable. I got a chambray tunic with an original tag price of $54 and paid $15.97 for it. One clerk has poor customer service. She rang me up and didn't pay attention to the orange sale tags. Her eyes were roaming elsewhere. So I asked her to double check, because the final price at the register didn't match the tags I got. We did. I verified one last time that she double checked. Her response was a rude "yes, we just did" with a sardonic face. She did not even apologize for not making sure the tags were right. I said thank you when I left. She just totally ignored me. She should not be a sales clerk with that attitude. read more

I have been shopping here for many years along with my mother, brother, sister-in-law, and many other family members as well. Today I had such a negative experience I have to share it here. I went in to exchange a sweatshirt, one that had never been washed, worn just once, and had a receipt that was still current. Unfortunately, when I went to the counter to make my exchange, it quickly became a battle with the cashier at the register. This young lady, inspected my sweatshirt and asked if I had the tag. I told her no but that I had the receipt. She then inspected the sweatshirt inside and out and gave me the third degree. She then accused me of wearing it. This was total B.S., I wore it one time and decided the neon pink color of it was unflattering with my skin tone. I then informed her that many of the sweatshirts presently for sale were hung on racks so low that the cuffs and bottom dragged on the floor where they picked up lint and grey fuzz off the ground. In fact, when you purchase a light colored item hung this way, you have to go home and launder it because of their position and the fact that the floors are dusty. My cashier was not cooperative, and as a result, I asked to speak to the manager. She was more understanding and granted my exchange. As a result of this negative transaction, I decided right then and there not to return to shop there. Old Navy sells similiar merchandise for less expense and with a better return policy. I will also tell my family members about my negative experience and discourage them from going there. I was burning mad after dealing with this stuck up high school girl's poor attitude. I only wish I had looked at her name tag so I could specifically tell you who to avoid when you shop at Gap Outlet. GAp is so OUT, by the way.... read more

For women's clothes, this store has a different inventory than the Gap stores that are in the mall. I go to this store to get sweat pants, fitted t-shirts, and workout wear. I don't think the main Gap stores have the same sweats as the Gap Outlet store. It is mostly casual wear at this Outlet. The jeans are different at the Gap Outlet than at the regular Gap store. They have sales a lot here. It is good for low prices if you are looking for a casual wear clothes. read more

I love Gap. This gap outlet in particular is organized and has awesome customer service. I am always greeted and asked if I need any help. You can't go into GAP outlet without walking out with bag(s) especially when they have great deals. Only thing is they lack good customer service. Every single person just walked by me with a stare. Especially the girls working there they just walk right by you and act busy when it's evident they aren't. Other than that you can't be mad about good deals. read more

I browse here about once a month and always come away with at least a couple of cute items. The funny thing is it's not necessary just women's clothes. I shop here for the whole family and there are often good deals on baby and kids' clothes. If you like the Gap's products, this is good way to get good value. read more
