Currently the women's inventory seems to be centered around an urban western theme. Fringe faux leather jackets, poncho shawls, duster jackets, and oversized button up shirts. I am too square to carry off any of that. However not to fear, they do have other clothing that do not fall under this theme. The personnel is quite racist, and judgmental. I went in today to return a bunch of items purchased online, and to understand their inventory. I was clearly followed, and the manager was rude. I noticed the difference in they way i was treated, vs. a white woman. I was not offered any sort of water, or help similar to the woman next to me. The manager immediately started to speak about me in her walkie talkie to other personnel when I finished my return. Super captain obvious. She didn't really talk to me, she basically didn't say anything to me. Maybe it's because they don't understand quality service? Or Because this is just an outlet? Or a small low cost of living area? Came here for the first time since Covid (mid March) and the store was clean and well stocked. Most items were 50% off. Friendly staff plus they sanitized fitting rooms between customers. Seems like they expanded their stock of trousers, however size 14 was out in most styles. Many t shirts were not in stock for sizes L or XL. An employee did tell me that they don't usually get a lot of the larger sizes, so they sell out fast. read more

The staff here lack common sense... I was in a line for the cashier with my wife to purchase a nice scarf that I found in the men's section. Three people in line, two cashiers. The two cashiers take one each...leaving me in line. When one cashier finished with her customer, she leaves with us still there in the line, and the other cashier still processing her customer. She probably was going on break...? No, she went and continued fixing clothes on the stacks. It would not have taken long for her to check out our one item...but she decided to leave. Even my wife noticed and told me what I already knew. It was disappointing. They may have nice clothing in the shop...but the staff lacking initiative is something dragging the store down in rating. I have been a loyal BR customer for years. I love their clothing. I ordered a bunch of "post-pandemic" return to work clothes in May and as I haven't worn work clothes in a while I ordered duplicates of a few items. I was unaware of the new 30 day return policy and I drove to another city today to exchange them (not nearby) I was told I could not due to their new return policy. I was then referred to "The Retail Equation" by the sales person to discuss the matter. The salesperson told me so loudly - after I told her that honestly it was 30 days from shipping to return- that I could not return the clothing that another customer came to weigh in...I am so deeply disappointed by the lack of concern and BR abiding by a very new policy without regard to their customers...Today is 30 days from when my items arrived...tags on, never worn...I will be shopping elsewhere from now on... read more

Went in at 1:40pm on May 11th to change out sizes of shorts that I previously bought there with my dad a few days earlier. I was helped by one of the same employees that helped me a few days prior. I said that I didn't have the receipt because my dad bought them that day as a gift for me. I gave her my ID for store credit since I couldn't just evenly exchange them. I was then given a piece of paper stating that a third party controls the returns and that I was denied. I then stated that it wasn't fair that I was "denied" and that they should show me where it says that in their policy that the third party gets to discriminate against and dictate who gets refunds and who doesn't. After being told no, I asked for her name and was told that "she didn't have to tell me". She then began to become full of attitude. I asked for her manager and she said that she was the manager. I asked for the name and number of her boss and was told that I would have to call the store and ask for them. I called the store at 2pm and "Kylie" picked up and said that the manager was on a conference call about 10 minutes after waiting on the line. I believe she is the one who helped me because of the voice. But not sure because she wouldn't give me her name. Terrible customer service for being a banana republic employee but horrendous for her to be a manager as well. She did the opposite of trying to fix the issue. She escalated it even more. I absolutely love banana republic. It's the only brand I wear when it comes to work clothes. It can get quite expensive at the regular stores so I almost always shop at the outlet. I found that this location had my size in almost every style. The service was friendly and the store was clean. Everything is always on some sort of sale or deal. They also offer to have an order shipped to your humble abode with free shipping if they don't have your size in store. I never leave here empty handed. They carry classic work pieces and casual tops to get you through the week. I shop at BR regularly and I'm pretty sure most of the clothes they carry at the outlet are made just for the outlet, I've never seen half the stuff in the regular stores before. But they seem to be made with great fabrics and no detail gets overlooked so I don't mind. The sales are great and you can stock up on the basics, like a black pencil skirt, for a third of the cost at other places. The wait lines for a fitting room can be rather long so I try to get here as soon as they open. read more

I have a gift card to this store that's been in my wallet for over a year now! I keep coming here and leaving empty handed (like I did today!) It seems like their clothes style is changing? It seems to be great if you have a corporate job in an office and you need THOSE type of clothes--too conservative for my taste, I guess. I came here briefly to do an exchange for my boss. The store is nice, bright and clean. The clothes were organized (but that's what you expect when you get there right when they open). I was greeted immediately and was offered assistance. The transaction was easy with the associate and I was able to clearly find the item my boss needed me to exchange. I didn't feel the pressure from the employees which is always nice. when i go to the folsom outlets, i only check out four stores every time, and banana is always my second stop. sometimes they have great sales on top of their discounted prices, which makes it a steal. once i found a dress for less then 20$, when the original price was over 150$. but i rarely find anything i really like. their clothes looks so much better just hangin on the racks. :/ read more
